Britney Spears was all smiles sitting next to Simon Cowell at the judges table during the first day of auditions for the new season of X Factor.

Reports swirled yesterday that Spears walked off the set after a contestant "butchered" one of her songs. Brit Tweeted:

"#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!"

The four judges, which include the two ladies, Cowell and L.A. Reid, held two rounds of auditions in Austin, Texas.

Lovato Tweeted: "Such an amazing day...can't wait to do it again!!! #XfactorUSA."

In our X17 poll, 52% of our readers said Simon Cowell planned this all along and that Brit probably even rehearsed it! 28% believed Brit had a real meltdown and 19% said the pop star probably overreacted, but it will be fun to watch.

Maybe it's the romantic atmosphere in Cannes, but Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who usually keep their relationship under wraps, had a PDA-filled evening on a balcony in France for the world to see, on Thursday night.

The Twilight costars have never officially confirmed their relationship, but after this trip, there is no denying they're a couple!

"Robsten" was also photographed enjoying a steamy make out sesh at the Film Fest on Wednesday, after the premiere of Kristen’s upcoming flick, On the Road, and although they walked the red carpet separately, they were attached at the hip at the after party.

Earlier this month, the Snow White and the Huntsman star let slip to Elle mag, after seeing a copy of the Guy de Maupassant novel “Bel Ami” during the interview: “Oh my God, my ****** boyfriend just did this movie! The French, they’re up in arms that he did it.”

Kristen is expected to be by her man's side when his latest flick, Cosmopolis, debuts at the Film Fest tonight!

He plays a villain in the film, but James D'Arcy was all smiles as he chatted up costar Jessica Biel on the set of the upcoming flick, Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho in Hollywood, on Tuesday afternoon.

The newly engaged star looked retro-chic in a 1960's inspired dress for her role as Vera Miles, who played Janet Leigh's sister in the flick. Scarlett Johansson will reenact Leigh's infamous shower scene, while D'Arcy has been cast as Anthony Perkins, aka the creepy motel owner, Norman Bates.

In other news, Jessica's finace, Justin Timberlake, is gearing up to compose the original soundtrack for her next flick, The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. We can't wait for the hot couple's summer nuptials!

We never thought we'd see Jack Osbourne holding a baby burping towel!

The proud new dad exited his family-sized Audi with fiancee Lisa Stelly in Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon, and this is the first time the couple has been see out and about since the birth of baby Pearl.

Osbourne first debuted his daughter on the cover of the UK's Hello! mag alongside Lisa, and mom Sharon, but the former reality star admitted he wasn't very excited when he first heard the news that his girlfriend was preg.

"I think I responded with, 'That's interesting,' " he told the mag. "What do you say? If we'd been trying for two years, of course you'd be like 'Awesome!' But we met in May and found out in August."

But after the birth, Jack fell instantly in love with his new little bundle of joy, and it sounds like he's settling into family life just fine. The budding director recently Tweeted, "There is no better way to spend a Saturday night, then to be holding my baby playing Xbox. Ahh dis is the life."

Britney Spears is currently in Austin, Texas for the first round of auditions for The X Factor, and the pop princess reportedly walked off the set after "stripper contestant butchered her song [Hold It Against Me]," according to a witness in the crowd, who posted the above shot of Brit's empty seat at the judging table. E! Online's Marc Malkin was also at the taping, and he tweeted a little over an hour ago, "where is britney spears? she's been gone for four contestants." Yikes!

A source connected with the show tells TMZ that Britney wasn't upset about the performance, but rather, she "needed a break." Brit seemed to be in good spirits when she arrived on the set with fellow judges Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, so it's unclear why she took such a lengthy break. Think this was planned? Or is Britney having a breakdown already!?

Paris and Nicky Hilton attended the star-studded de GRISOGONO bash at Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France last night, and the sexy and stylish sisters looked amazing as they posed for pictures on the red carpet. Fellow guests included Heidi Klum and Adrien Brody, and this is the eleventh consecutive year the jewelry company has held their party at the swanky hotel.

Today Paris had a shoot with famed photographer Ellen Von Unwerth, but she took to her Twitter to set the record straight about the hot man in her photos. "Before any rumors get started ... The guy in my photoshoot with Ellen Von Unwerth today is not a new love interest," she wrote. "Just the model Ellen hired."

Glad we cleared that up ... and now we can't WAIT to see this pics!

Will Smith is currently busy promoting Men in Black III, and even though he's traveled from LA to Berlin to London to NYC (whew!) over the past ten days, he still has plenty of energy for his fans! The 43-year-old actor was spotted leaving his New York hotel this afternoon, and he was practically mobbed by the crowd when he walked to his car.

Will recently chatted with Access Hollywood about taking off three years from the movie business, and even though he's happy to be back in the game, it sounds like he's just fine stepping out of the spotlight too.

"Getting that time in with the family, it’s been like, just for me, it’s something I’ve dreamed about for a long time when I was a little kid I used to watch Dallas,” he said. “And I used to love how everybody lived on the same property and how everybody came to breakfast together… so, it’s like I’ve been building Dallas in my mind my whole life, so [it’s] really great to see how it’s starting to come to fruition."

We know he's referring to his own life, but it's kind ironic seeing as the remake of Dallas is hitting the small screen in three weeks!
