Sacha Baron Cohen delivered a response today regarding the controversy surrounding the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences attempt to keep him from walking the Oscar carpet this Sunday, dressed as his latest character, Aladeen, from the upcoming film The Dictator.

The "Admiral General" spoke in a taped segment on NBC's Today Show and called the Academy's decision not to let him attend in-character, "outrageous." He went on to say:

"While I applaud the Academy for taking away my right to free speech, I warn you that if you do not lift your sanctions, and give me my tickets back by 12pm Sunday, you will face unimaginable consequences!"

Cohen, who is known for appearing at public events and awards dressed in character to drum up publicity for his films, was reportedly "banned" from Hollywood's biggest night, but the Academy has since refuted those reports. They made it clear the comic actor was welcome, but that they had reached out to his reps and to Paramount, the studio behind the film, to be clear of his intentions.

An Academy spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter: "We don't think it's [Cohen attending in-character] appropriate. But his tickets haven't been pulled. We're waiting to hear back."

It is being reported that the Academy is reconsidering their stance on allowing him to walk the red carpet in character, due to the recent backlash over their lack of sense of humor.

This is not the first time Cohen has sparked controversy with the Academy. In 2010 he was dropped from being a presenter at the award show after word spread he was planning to dress as a character from Avatar and poke fun at the film.

Bobby Brown went for a stroll in Beverly Hills with 2-year-old son Cassius ... his child with manager and girlfriend Alicia Etheridge.

This is the first time Brown has casually stepped out since the funeral of his ex wife, Whitney Houston.

As for Etheridge and Brown, they've been dating since 2007.

In addition to Cassius, Brown has four other children from former relationships including Bobbi Kristina ... his daughter with Whitney.

After it was reported that Gerard Butler had checked himself into a rehabilitation center for substance-abuse issues on Friday, it appears he has already completed treatment for his addition.

The Bounty Hunter star's rep said in a statement:

"Gerard has completed a successful course of treatment and has returned home in good health. We will not be making any further comment at this time."

The 42-year-old actor checked himself into the Betty Ford center three weeks ago, after battling a growing dependency on prescription drugs, as the result of an injury from the action flick 300, TMZ reports.

Butler's issues began in 2006, and grew worse when he suffered from an accident on the set of his latest film, Of Men and Mavericks. The Scottish actor had also "developed issues" with cocaine, but his primary concern was the prescription drugs.

The Arthur star, who filed for divorce from Katy Perry last December, has been seen taking classes at an LA-area yoga studio on the regular, and he's even reportedly met a few ladies in the class!

Last week, Mexican artist Oriela Medellin Amieiro was seen leaving Brand's pad in the wee hours of the morning, after meeting at the yoga studio, and he was seen exiting his house with another mystery girl from his class on Wednesday morning. Just like the good old days, pre-Katy Perry!

Looks like Russell has officially reclaimed his ladies' man status!

It's Oscars week in Hollywood, and the 5th Annual Hollywood Domino Gala kicked off at the Sunset Towers Hotel on Thursday night, in West Hollywood, with a bevvy of glammed-up stars!

Among the celebs making an appearance at the event were Mischa Barton, looking stunning in a yellow-gold gown, supermodel Petra Nemcova in a sexy bright red dress, and new mom Ali Larter, who donned a show-stopping yellow mini dress, paired with more than $225,000 of David Webb jewelry.

The Hollywood Domino gala is organized as one big game, and the participants have pieces with that contain pieces of a screenplay, and player who writes the most convincing storyboard wins!

In addition, all proceeds are donated to the “Artists for Peace and Justice” foundation, which "finances and coordinates a wide-ranging education, health and dignity program on behalf of the children of Haiti."
