Oh, the irony ... after a progress hearing for the status of her probation stemming from charges she stole jewelry from a Venice Beach jeweler, Lindsay Lohan was back in action Saturday at ... a jewelry store!

The actress has been in hiding as of late, but last week's hearing was good news for the Lilo, when Judge Stephanie Sautner congratulated Lindsay for keeping up with her community service at the LA County Morgue.

And there may be more good news on the horizon for Linds ... it seems she's up for the role of Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime movie Liz and Dick (referring to Richard Burton, of course).

Liz was famous for her jewelry collection ... perhaps Lindsay was doing some research at XIV Karats yesterday?

BUT, as we reported, Megan Fox is also in the running, so who will prevail?

Let's hope Lindsay's luck is a bit better with this than it was yesterday when she parked her Porsche Panamera in Beverly Hills and got TWO tickets!

Megan Fox arrived at LAX Saturday after filming a Doritos commercial in Istanbul, Turkey. The actress hid her face under her hoodie and stayed mum when asked if she has snagged the role of Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime's biopic Liz and Dick.

And who else is up for the role? Lindsay Lohan is reportedly vying for the part. The film's producer, Larry Thompson, tells E! News:

"I've been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox ... It's a very serious selection ... It's like casting for Hollywood royalty."

Anne Hathaway and fiance Adam Shulman visited with some friends in LA yesterday -- perhaps to show off Anne's engagement ring?!

Hathaway, 29, and Shulman, 30, were engaged in November when Adam presented the $150,000-stunner to his actress wife. The two began dating in 2008 after Hathaway's split from Raffaello Follieri, a financier who was sentenced to four 1/2 years in prison for money laundering and conspiracy.

Of her new, "mellow" relationship, Anne says: "Mellow doesn't always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life," she said.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian got all dolled up to celebrate a friend's birthday at Ivy at the Shore Saturday.

The sexy couple arrived arm-in-arm to the Santa Monica outpost of the famous Ivy restaurant. LeAnn was wearing a wide-brimmed hat with a tight-fitting dress and some awesome ankle-wrap wedges. And while LeAnn always has her fashion on-point, let's be honest -- she'd look good in anything, just like Eddie. Mr. Cibrian sported a simple cardigan, but he still looks like he just stepped off the pages of a J Crew catalog!

A hunky Matthew McConaughey is bringing back his David Wooderson character from Dazed and Confused for a new Butch Walker and the Black Widows music video for a single called Synthesizers.

The role of the sexy stoner in the 1993 classic inspired the band's Butch Walker: "To commemorate the 20 year anniversary of the filming and inception of this amazing movie, we brought a little someone from the film back to be the life of the party for our new video."

McConaughey himself has taken inspiration from the film -- his clothing company, j.k. livin (Just Keep Livin') comes from this famous line in the movie: "The older you get, the more rules they are going to try and get you to follow. You just gotta keep on livin', man. L-I-V-I-N."

One of the world's best athletes, LA Galaxy star David Beckham, is as fit and trim as they come. He's got killer abs and speedy, sexy legs that have taken his soccer teams to playoff after playoff ... so you probably wouldn't suspect Beckham is a fast food fiend!

We caught Mr. Beckham at In-And-Out Burger Saturday, as he picked up a quick snack. And hey, a burger and fries every once in a while certainly won't even make a DENT in this guy's fab physique. He's got energy to burn and her burns it, baby!

Blake Lively steps into Marilyn Monroe's heels for the upcoming 100th episode of Gossip Girl.

The starlet, as her character Serena van der Woodson, dons a platinum wig, gloves, a pink dress and loads of jewels for a modern-day, primetime interpretation of Marilyn's Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Accordingly, the men of the hit series take on the role of "Marilyn's" male chorus of admirers -- including Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley, and Chace Crawford.

Leighton Meester, aka Blair Waldorf, isn't left out of the dream sequence -- she makes an appearance as Audrey Hepburn.

Paris brought her posse to Sundance and they took over the town!

Ms. Hilton and beau Afrojack "raved" at the Google Music at Tao event Saturday night. Queen P Tweeted: "I've never seen #Sundance rock & rave like they did tonight at @SundanceLive! So fun! @DJAfrojack killed it! As he always does... #YES!"

To which DJ Afrojack responded: "Great night @ Sundance u guys rocked!! Thnx @ParisHilton for coming out with me the last couple of weeks. Greaaat company..."

Lil Jon also kept the DJ and his girl company, along with Paris' brother Barron and his girlfriend, who were part of the party group.

In fact, the heiress has been spending so much partying, it seems she hasn't been able to take in any sports yet. She Tweeted Friday: "Having so much fun at #Sundance! Can't wait to go snowboarding. :D"

But P can claim all the clubbing is actually business -- after all, she's preparing another album! So as she takes in the sights and sounds, she's formulating her new approach to music. Paris recently told MTV: "It's completely different from my last album. I'm going with a whole new genre. I have Afrojack executive-producing the entire album. So we've just been coming up with the most incredible tracks. I was just in the studio with RedFoo the other night, so we're going to be doing my new single with LMFAO."
