Mel Gibson spent two hours at Libra Brazilian Steakhouse in Culver City last night, and the actor celebrated his 56th birthday one day early with daughter Lucia, her nanny and a few pals.

It looks like Mel might be penciling in some time with his other 7 kids this week, but will he be hanging out with either of his exes? After ex-wife Robyn received half of Mel's estimated $850 million fortune in a divorce settlement last week, we can't imagine he's in the mood to celebrate with her. I mean, even if she's buying him a nice birthday dinner, he's still technically paying for it!

Even with no makeup, a baseball hat and sneakers, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara is still smokin' hot!

The sexy Latina hit up Whole Foods in Brentwood to stock up on groceries. We can imagine how difficult it must be to try to conceal all that beauty.

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz were spotted arriving at the Roissy Airport in Paris, France this morning, and though the couple were able to enjoy some time to themselves over the holidays, Daniel is back to the grind promoting The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

While Dragon Tattoo hasn't exactly brought in the best box office numbers (the film has made $60 million since its December 21 domestic release, barely keeping it in the top ten this week), Sony has confirmed that they are still moving forward with a sequel. A rep for the studio told Entertainment Weekly, "[Dragon Tattoo] continues to do strong business and nothing has changed with respect to development of the next book." Whew!

Talk about an odd group!

Adam Levine, girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna and Kelly Clarkson were snapped partying their butts off in Oklahoma on New Year's Eve, and it looks like everyone had plenty of spirits was in good spirits.

Anne V tweeted, "Best New Years ever!!!" and Kelly added, "Having the time of my life in Oklahoma with great friends!! Happy New Years Eve everybody!! 2012 is gonna be a great year!" But who was her NYE kiss, hmm?

Maria Shriver and her four kids ... Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher, dined at Katsuya in Brentwood as an entire family. Dad Arnold Schwarzenegger was the only one missing.

Ms. Shriver filed for divorce from Schwarzenegger back in July, however the two recently spent Christmas together. Various online reports are claiming Shriver has recently been torn about whether to move forward with her divorce due to religious beliefs.

In our X17 poll about whether Maria should take Arnold back, 33% said "No" since he cheated ... while 27% said they're not sure due the couple's long history together. 17% say that the former first lady of California should give her hubby another chance.

Elton John is moving forward with plans for his upcoming biopic, and the "Rocket Man" wants "Sexyback" singer Justin Timberlake to play the starring role.

John, who says the film will be "in the manner of Moulin Rouge," tells the LA Times:

"Number on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of 'Rocket Man' and was superb."

The 64-year-old singer will also serve as executive producer. Timberlake has not officially been offered the role.

Now that Kim Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner are finished with their New Year's obligations in Vegas, the twosome and younger girls Kendall and Kylie hit up Casa Vega in Studio City for a late-night Mexican dinner.

We're lovin' Kim K's boots and scarf! Is it just us, or is the 31-year-old reality star wearing less makeup in the new year? She did Tweet that she was going to focus on living a more simple life.

Perhaps less face paint is a start.

Just a few hours after we caught him spending the day with his mom, Ryan Gosling and ladylove Eva Mendes arrived at JFK airport together on Monday, to take separate flights out of NYC.

The pair are ending a romantic three-day vacation in the Big Apple, where they rang in the New Year together, and Mendes also met Ryan’s mom for the first time. It must be getting serious!

Gosling is flying home to LA to start prepping for awards season -- he's nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor, for his role in The Ides of March. Eva and Ryan still haven't gone public with their relationship, we think awards season would be the perfect time!
