John Mayer revealed in September that he had nodules on his vocal cords. Now, the singer has posted to his blog, revealing to fans that he underwent surgery for the masses of tissue.

He writes:

"I had surgery this [Thursday] afternoon to remove it and am now on complete vocal rest for a month or more. It's been a very long process in waiting to see if time was an alternative to surgery, but even given two weeks' voice rest (along with many other approaches), there was no change for the better."

Mayer was forced to cancel September concerts with Tony Bennett in Los Angeles and an appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas after being diagnosed.

There's nothing "Ironic" about this!

Alanis Morisette and hubby Mario "Souleye" Treadway took too-cute son Ever out in Santa Monica on Saturday. Ever, born last December, is already almost 1 -- we can't believe it!

Lovely to see formerly bitter Morisette (anyone else remember "You Oughta Know"?) as a happy mom, although judging by his facial expression (below), seems like Ever's got a bit of '90s Alanis in him!

Kourtney and Kim Kardashian returned to Los Angeles Sunday after finishing filming for the latest season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, and it looks their stuff did not fit in the two bags airlines allow!

Kourtney Tweeted this pic of herself all packed up to head home to LA, and we can't believe all the stuff she has!

"At least I travel light," she said. "Toodloo New York...I will miss u madly."

Wow. We usually just bring a carry on. On Sunday, Kim Tweeted, "I need to unpack but I am so lazy!" If we had that much stuff, we would be too!

Boyfriend or brother?

Shauna Sand, 40, debuted her new man -- a blond, tan gentleman named Giuseppe, at the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, and the two almost look related!

Of course, one area where they didn't match was footwear ... former Playmate Shauna is never without her lucite heels (see below)!

The occasional actress filed for divorce from 25-year-old hubby Laurent Homburger earlier this year after only four months together. Shauna rebounds quickly!

First he rented out the entire Staples Center to watch Titanic, now he's gone international with his dates!

Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez are in his home country of Canada, and over the weekend Bieber rented out an entire movie theater at SilverCity Polo Park Cinemas in Winnipeg so that the couple could watch a movie in private.

And a flick wouldn't be complete without snacks -- so the two had pizza delivered to the theater!

Bieber Tweeted, "feels good to be back in #CANADA - missed home."

The Winnipeg Free Press reports that the pair also stopped by a local animal shelter -- Selena reportedly left with a pup!

Selena Tweeted that she had a "great" time in Winnipeg -- but the visit was brief. On Sunday she headed back to Cleveland to make up a meet-and-greet with fans that got rained out earlier this year.

"Pumpkin patch today! Love this time of year :-)," Richards Tweeted.

Sporting her signature hoop earrings, Kyle brought her four daughters and husband Mauricio, and Adrienne arrived with hubby Paul and their two sons. Kyle and Mauricio left with several pumpkins -- and youngest daughter Portia! -- in a wagon -- too cute!

Looks like Madonna is applying her "Like A Prayer" lyric "Everyone must stand alone" ... to her family.

Madonna's brother, Antony Ciccone, 55, has told The Michigan Messenger that he is homeless and living in Traverse City, Mich.

The interview took place "over a roast beef dinner served by volunteers at the Faith Reform Church on Front St.," with Ciccone telling the site:

"My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time. You think I haven’t answered this kind of question a bazillion times — why my sister is a multibazillionarie, and I’m homeless on the street?”

Ciccone says he now lives under a bridge after losing his job at his father's winery. He says the worst part of being homeless is the cold, and that last winter he got frostbite.

“Never say never,” he warns. “This could happen to anybody."
