Now that
Twilight is nearing an end, Robert Pattinson is free to peruse any movie project he wants -- but will he switch it up and go the musical theater route?
Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong is reportedly desperate to cast RPatz in the lead role in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical "American Idiot," which is based on the band's popular album.
Armstrong has been waiting for over two years for the world's sexiest vampire to have some free time, telling Spinner.com in an April 2009 interview:
"I'm gonna say maybe that kid in 'Twilight,' [Pattinson]. He's a good actor. There's still more to come with that kid."
The film is set to be produced by Tom Hanks' Playtone and is currently in pre-production. No one has been cast as of yet, and Pattinson has remained mum on the potential new film role.

The fabulously funky Nicki Minaj as an 18-century courtesan?
Photographer Francesco Vezzoli explained the concept behind this unusual photo shoot for
M Magazine:
In her performances, Minaj makes very explicit and Âchallenging use of her beauty and her body, so I thought of comparing her to some of the most famous courtesans in history: the Marquise de ÂMontespan, Comtesse du Barry, Madame de Pompadour, and ÂMadame Rimsky-ÂKorsakov. My idea was to reproduce four iconic portraits of some of the most fascinating females of the past in a series starring an American pop-culture role model. We tried to re-create those original portraits using similar furniture, props, and clothing, Ã la Visconti. Luckily enough, the result came out as surreal as it could be, just as I wished.

Val Kilmer has been trying to sell portions of his 6,000-acre New Mexico ranch for several years, and has just recently decided to list the entire property -- for a cool $33 million.
The Doors star is reportedly gearing up to run for governor of New Mexico next year, so he needs to unload the Pecos River ranch property, which requires a lot of attention and upkeep.
The rustic cabin-like log house is approximately 5,600 square feet with four bedrooms, and two guesthouses, an 1,800-square-foot caretaker’s home, additional guest homes, barns, garages, and outbuildings -- all up for grabs.
Kilmer has owned the property for nearly 15 years.
Check out all of the pix from Val's New Mexico abode in our gallery below.

Let's face it, in this town, when you're skinny, you're usually happy -- and if you've lost weight because you're on a "divorce diet," you're probably still happy that at least one good thing came out of your failed marriage.
But in the case of Mischa Barton, who isn't in the throws of a messy breakup, her weight loss hasn't put a smile on her face. Or maybe it's just the paparazzi who make her frown?
Whatever the case, Ms. Barton and her lovely, well-defined cheekbones, looked spectacular last night as she left dinner on Sunset Plaza with a friend. Now if she'd just smile ...

Josh Duhamel got up close and personal with a tall blonde at the opening of 3D sports bar South in Santa Monica Thursday night ... and SOMEthing had him sweating!
Seriously, though -- the woman is a publicist and the
Transformers star was clearly overwhelmed by the unusually hot LA night and all the lights ... the temperature on that red carpet must have been 90 degrees!

After just three episodes, ABC's reboot of the 1970's favorite
Charlie's Angels has been cancelled, the network confirms.
Production has been shut down, but ABC will air the remaining episodes already in the can.
Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh are back to pounding the pavement after their show debuted in September to poor ratings and even worse reviews.
The original series, starring Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jacyln Smith, broke viewership records and the big screen adaptations staring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu were big box office hits.
