Chaz Bono appeared on Good Morning America Tuesday to defend himself against backlash he's seen since his stint on Dancing With The Stars was announced.
He said:
"I'm just a regular guy. All these ideas that children can't watch me, that I'm going to be confusing, it's just crazy, and for all the kids and teens out there with gender dysphoria, I think it's going to have a really positive impact. When I was growing up, if I had seen somebody like me on a show like this, it would have made all the difference in the world."
When asked if he would used the show to promote transgender awareness, Bono seemed a bit offended, saying, "It's a dancing show ... on this show, I'm just going to be dancing."

Sugar Factory
Kellan Lutz and his sexy ex girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord are enjoying all the Sugar Factory American Brassiere has to offer!
The Twilight hunk couldn't resist sinking his teeth into a sparkling blue sucker at the Paris Las Vegas event. How sweet ... literally!
As for the 90210 babe, she kept her luscious lips on succulent chocolate covered strawberries off a skewer. Nothing like a little fondue fun between friends.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards and Adrienne Maloof took to Today Tuesday morning to defend the show's Monday night premiere, which was mostly slammed by critics.
Critics pointed out that the show, once gossipy fun, could not be after Russell Armstrong's suicide. Many had called for Season Two to be scrapped entirely.
In its review of the premiere, The Los Angeles Times called the show "a creepy necro-party game ... how can we now watch and think of anything else [other than Russell's suicide]?"
But the trio told Ann Curry that Russell's estranged wife, Taylor (right, in the premiere), was "supportive of the series being shown." Said Richards:
"She [Taylor] thought that they handled it respectfully, and in light of the situation she was pleased with the outcome. ... We shot this six months ago and I think Bravo has tried to handle it as responsibly and respectfully as possible. ... But the show is not just about them [Taylor and Russell] -- it's about six women and their lives. Yes, they are a part of it, but there's also so much going on in the show."
Vanderpump addressed comments her husband, Ken, made in the premiere; he called therapy "weak" after Taylor revealed she and Russell were in therapy. See Lisa's defense and more from The Times' scathing review after the jump.

Demi Lovato will be performing two intimate shows this month ... one at Club Nokia in LA on September 23 and the other at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on September 17.
When tickets recently went on sale, both shows sold out in 30 minutes.
The Disney starlet hints to MTV News that a bigger tour is in the works. Demi says:
"It definitely is [a preview]. I wanted to say thank you to my fans," she said. "I wanted to show them how thankful I am for the support they gave me for "Skyscraper... I'll be really nervous to get back onstage for the first time since then, but I'll be really excited. It could be a tease for a bigger tour. I don't know."
Demi's album Unbroken hits stores on September 20 and will feature duets with Jason Derulo, Timbaland and Missy Elliott.

He was booked on suspicion of disturbing the peace and was released after midnight.

Prestige
Miley Cyrus is looking mighty fierce on the cover of Prestige magazine. We're lovin' that gorgeous Gucci top, Miley!
Although the sexy 18-year-old singer lives in LA, she's not lovin' the LA vibe. Miley tells the mag:
“I’m not a big fan of LA, I’ve got to be honest. I like being able to work here, but any chance to go back home [to Tennessee], I love it. People really take life for granted in California. It makes me sad sometimes. So I have to give myself that reality check every once in a while and go back home.â€
The Can't Be Tamed singer also opens up about her days as Hannah Montana. She adds:
"I miss the family vibe, but I don’t miss the routine at all. I was so bored doing the same thing every day. It’s a lot easier not being on a show, to live my life a little bit and do some of the others thing that I want to do."
Miley also reveal her 11-year-old sister Noah is itching to get into showbiz. Such a talented family!

Deadline reported Tuesday morning that Eddie Murphy is definitely hosting the Oscars, though the Academy has not yet made an announcement.
Director Brett Ratner produces the show, and he will tell the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences that he's chosen Murphy to host. Murphy stars in Ratner's comedy Tower Heist, out in November.
Usually, an Oscar host is not announced until January, but reportedly Murphy's talent agency, WME, thinks the news would be a good boost to his career.
He hasn't starred in a live-action pic on the big screen since 2009's forgettable Imagine That.
Murphy has stand-up comedy roots that may be what the show needs after last year's dismally reviewed show with Anne Hathaway and James Franco. Stand-ups have done best in the past -- the 1998 show hosted by Billy Crystal is still the top-rated telecast of all time.
