Heather Locklear's domestic violence arrest on Monday came as a shock to her fans, but apparently the Melrose Place star has been battling some serious demons for a while now.
"Heather has been in a very dark place for some time, prior to the most recent arrest. Her family, led by daughter, Ava, has tried to get Heather to go to rehab for an extended period of time for help. Heather refuses … she will stop drinking for awhile, but will relapse," a source dished to Us Weekly.
“It’s truly a very sad situation. No one can reach Heather, not her brother, Ava, or ex-husband, Richie Sambora, whom has remained close to her. Heather feels that Hollywood has forgotten her and she hasn’t been offered any roles in a very long time," the source added.
The blonde bombshell was taken into custody early Monday morning and charged with a felony of domestic violence and three counts of battery against an officer, and posted $20K bond.
The 56-year-old has had multiple brushes with the law, and has been to rehab more than five times. Her friends hope this last incident was a wake-up call!
"She has to be ready to fix it herself. She knows help is available, she’s sought it out before, but you can’t force anybody to get help. She has to be ready to fix it herself. The Hill reports that the outspoken Republican actress has submitted paperwork to the Federal Election Commission under the slogan “Dash to DC," and she's looking to win California’s 44th Congressional District, which includes Compton, Watts, San Pedro and North Long Beach.
"Formal statements coming. For those mocking for the district I live in…open your minds. It’s time to for me to put up or shut up and I want to serve great people," Dash tweeted after the news broke.
The 51-year-old has raised a lot of eyebrows with her controversial views over the years. She was a contributor to Fox News, and famously declared that then-president Barack Obama "didn't give a sh*t" about terrorism. She also criticized the #OscarsSoWhite movement, and said there was no need for Black History Month.

Khloe took to Snapchat to show off her growing baby bump, and she revealed she's officially eight months along in her pregnancy. On next week's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the reality star is set to reveal the gender of her little one, but it's already been widely reported she's expecting a baby boy with beau Tristan Thompson.
The Revenge Body star is currently in Tokyo with sisters Kim and Kourtney, and a lot of fans are concerned that she's traveling so close to her due date. If we were expecting our first kid, we wouldn't feel to comfortable with being halfway across the globe at this stage, but Koko has always been fearless.
Her ex Lamar Odom couldn't be happier for her, but her baby daddy isn't too happy about him bring her up every chance he gets.
“Telling you the truth; it could not happen to a better person. I was happy for her. If she could take care of a grown man like me for four years the way she took care of me, I know she will take care of a baby. That will be a spoiled *ss baby," Odom told Access Hollywood recently.

Carrie Underwood posted this selfie with husband Mike Fisher on Instagram to raise awareness for ending modern day slavery, and she chose to put a red X over her face. Why is she hiding, you ask? Well, she had a nasty fall the other month and required more than 50 stitches, and apparently the accident left her disfigured. Yikes!
"In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in," she explained in a blog post.
"I am determined to make 2018 amazing and I want to share things with you along the way. And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different," she added.
It would be a tragedy if she permanently messed up her pretty face!

The LipKit queen and baby daddy Travis Scott still aren't living under the same roof, but their arrangement is said to be working out well as they adjust to these first weeks of parenthood.
"Despite being new parents, Kylie and Travis are still in a new relationship too. Kylie is happy with their living situation. Travis is a great dad. When he wants to work, Kylie is supportive," a source dished to People.

Gigi and Bella Hadid walked the runway for Tommy Hilfiger in Milan yesterday, and we couldn't help but notice how skinny Gigi looked. She recently had to defend herself against Internet trolls who accused her of being too thin, and she claims her weight loss is due to a health condition.
"For those of you so determined to come up w why my body has changed over the years, you may not know that when I started @ 17 I was not yet diagnosed w/Hashimoto’s disease; those of u who called me “too big for the industry†were seeing inflammation & water retention due to that. Over the last few years I’ve been properly medicated to help symptoms including those, as well as extreme fatigue, metabolism issues, body’s ability to retain heat, etc ... I was also part of a holistic medical trial that helped my thyroid levels balance out," she tweeted.
"Although stress & excessive travel can also affect the body, I have always eaten the same, my body just handles it differently now that my health is better. I may be “too skinny†for u, honestly this skinny isn’t what I want to be, but I feel healthier internally and am still learning and growing with my body everyday, as everyone is," she continued.
"I will not further explain the way my body looks, just as anyone, with a body type that doesnt suit ur “beauty†expectation, shouldnt have to. Not to judge others, but drugs are not my thing, stop putting me in that box just because u dont understand the way my body has matured. Please, as social media users & human beings in general, learn to have more empathy for others and know that you never really know the whole story. Use your energy to lift those that you admire rather than be cruel to those u don’t," she concluded.
