Kim Tweeted this pic of herself at the shoot in full makeup ... what a before and after! She looks like a different person!

Kim Tweeted, "The photo shoot is off to a good start! Gonna be a fun day! ... Can u guess which old Hollywood actress I'm inspired by in this look?"

Our sources tell us the shoot came at a hefty price tag ... a private mansion and a classic car were rented for the retro theme.

Kim wore a scarf and cat sunglasses for the shoot ... very Grace Kelly!

The two stopped at a fruit stand to pick up some Vitamin C-filled goodies ... which Katy needs after her recent ordeal!

On Friday, the singer had to cancel weekend concerts she had planned for Chicago and St. Paul, Minn., due to food poisoning and severe dehydration.

Katy re-scheduled the canceled performances and also offered fans refunds.

Her next show is scheduled for July 13.

The ballad singer, who was eliminated from American Idol, debuted her new single on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show.

At a recent show in Staffordshire, England, the Black Eyed Peas told the crowd that the show was the "last time we're going to be in England for a long time."

Fergie reassured the crowd that the band was not breaking up, but is taking an indefinite break from making new music together. They last took a sabbatical from 2005-2009.

During that time, Fergie worked on her solo career, with several band members contributing to her tracks.

will.i.am Tweeted, "The @Bep will take a break after the beginning...just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d...but it doesn't mean we stop creating."

Gaga hinted on a Taiwanese talk show during her recent trip there that her next music video will have a mermaid theme.

Mother Monster is known for her controversial, eye-catching videos, though she kept things fairly simple for her most recent single, "The Edge of Glory." The vid featured Gaga dancing in an alley.

Said Gaga: "Yuyi is in incubation, for anyone who knows what that means. Yuyi may just be born in the next video."

Yuyi is the name she calls her mermaid alter ego, which she first unveiled during a performance in June.
