Jon Cryer stopped by David Letterman's show Wednesday night and addressed the veritable insanity that has been his former co-star Charlie Sheen over the past few months.

Since Sheengate began, Cryer has only discussed the drama a few times, and usually in response to Charlie's comments (Exhibit A: When Cryer's "friend" Charlie called him a "troll.")

But, the actor was refreshingly lighthearted. Letterman started the interview with, "Boy, you've had an eventful six months, huh?" to which Cryer jokingly replied, "What do you mean?" Perhaps surprisingly, Cryer also said no one expected Sheen to go off the deep end. Cryer said that no actor has had a meltdown like Sheen's before.

"This has never happened ... Nobody was prepared for this. I did not see it coming. No one saw it coming."

Cryer also commented on whether he still considers Sheen a friend -- see what he said after the jump!

Hilary Duff is usually ready to face the cameras at all times, but after getting her toenails done in Studio City on Wednesday, the former Disney darling wasn't in the mood for pictures.

Wrapping herself in one of her favorite grey striped sweaters, Ms. Duff let her freshly painted yellow toesies dry in the fresh air! Not sure about the color, Hil, but you're still a fresh-faced beauty to us!

Gwyneth Paltrow is open to talk about anything on her personal website Goop ... and this week, the actress is tackling homosexuality in the Bible.

The Shakespeare In Love actress writes:

"A few months ago, in the heat of the tragic teen suicides that came about from intolerance of homosexuality, I saw a man on television who was apologizing for wishing death on gays from his facebook page. This member of an Arkansas school board was contrite for the violence in his words, but maintained that his values pertaining to homosexuality would remain, as he felt homosexuality was condemned in the bible. This concept, while foreign to me, is interesting, as it used to justify so much judgement and separation in our society."

Gwyneth goes on to say:

"When my daughter came home from school one day saying that a classmate had two mommies, my response was, "Two mommies? How lucky is she?!" What does it actually say in the bible that will cause some people to be upset by my line of thinking?"

Ms. Paltrow says her thoughts stemmed from the Arkansas school board member who encourages gays to take their own lives.

Tom Cruise left wife Katie Holmes and adorable daughter Suri at home while hitting up the Super 8 premiere at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood.

The sexy Mission Impossible star, wearing jeans and a simple black button-up shirt, flashed his famous pearly whites, and no doubt, the fans went wild!

Even though Tom isn't in the Steven Spielberg directed thriller, it's cool to see him showing up to support his director friend. The actor teamed up with Spielberg for War of the Worlds in 2005 and Minority Report in 2002.

Oh, Shania Twain ... it certainly was a nasty fall last night at the CMT Awards, but you looked gorgeous doing it! In the video above, she takes a tumble at the :11 mark.

Ms. Twain was walking on stage to present the Best Male Video Award to Blake Shelton when she slipped on the freshly waxed floor and fell. Like any true performer, she got back up and continued with her presenting duties. Aside from a few giggles, Shania didn't miss a beat!

Katie Holmes looked like she was channeling Jackie O circa 1970, as she headed to Urth Caffe in West Hollywood for a lunch date with friends.

Holmes played the stylish first lady in the ill-fated Kennedy series, and we still see the actress don Jackie-inspired ensembles from time to time.

Katie is enjoying her downtime now, because she's about to have a really busy summer! Mrs. Tom Cruise is starring in the highly anticipated Guillermo del Toro horror flick, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, and is also gearing up to film Responsible Adults with Chace Crawford.

Dark centers on a young girl who goes to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend (Holmes) and begins to hear voices from creatures in the house who are trying to claim her as one of their own, according to IMDB.

Even on his day off from shooting The Rock of Ages (Brand is in Florida to film for the month) he's still sporting that signature rock and roll style. At least his jeans have air holes!

Brand has been bonding with costar Alec Baldwin on the set, which also costars hottie Julianne Hough and Tom Cruise. The 30 Rock actor even Tweeted a pic of himself and Mr. Katy Perry in their full 1980's hair band costume.
