Oscar Nominations Announced, James Franco Totally Shut Out After Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Posted on Tue Jan 23rd, 2018 8:05am PDT       By X17 Staff

There are a lot of shocks and surprises this year!

The Oscar nominations were announced this morning, and everybody's talking about the fact James Franco was totally shut out, despite winning the Golden Globes and Critic's Choice awards for Best Actor for his role in The Disaster Artist. It's pretty obvious that the sexual misconduct allegations against him torpedoed any chance of him getting nominated at the biggest award show of the year.

Other noteworthy noms? Greta Gerwig for Best Director, which marks the first time a woman has been nominated in the category since 2009. Christopher Plummer was nominated for his role in All The Money In The World, which he shot in less than a week after replacing Kevin Spacey following his sexual harassment scandal. Armie Hammer was snubbed after being left out of the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in Call Me By Your Name.

Wonder Woman was left out of Best Picture, and The Post squeaked in with an unexpected nomination in the category.

Megyn Kelly Rips Into Jane Fonda Over Plastic Surgery Question Controversy

Posted on Mon Jan 22nd, 2018 12:25pm PDT       By X17 Staff

She's fighting back in a big way.

Megyn Kelly is fed up with Jane Fonda repeatedly trashing her over a question she asked her about plastic surgery during an appearance on Megyn Kelly Today, and the talk show host decided to address things head on this morning.

"And now, a word on Jane Fonda, who appears to be fixated on an exchange I had with her months ago on this show. When she first complained publicly after the program — and repeatedly — I chose to say nothing, as my general philosophy is what other people think of me is none of my business. However, Fonda was at it again last week, including right here on NBC, and then again elsewhere. So it’s time to address the ‘poor me’ routine," Kelly said in a monologue to the audience.

"[Fonda] has discussed her cosmetic surgery pretty much everywhere before coming on our show. Apparently when she came here, however … I was supposed to discern that this subject was suddenly off-limits," she noted.

Then she took a shot at her character!

"This is a woman whose name is synonymous with outrage,” Kelly continued. “Look at her treatment of our military during the Vietnam War. Many of our veterans still call her ‘Hanoi Jane’ thanks to her radio broadcasts, which attempted to shame American troops. She posed on an anti-aircraft gun used to shoot down our pilots. … So, the moral indignation is a little much. She put her plastic surgery out there. She said she wanted to discuss the plight of older women in America. And honestly she has no business lecturing anyone on what qualifies as offensive," she sniped.

EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS - Drake Comes To His Senses And Removes Hideous Grotto From His $8 Million Hidden Hills Mansion

Posted on Mon Jan 22nd, 2018 11:15am PDT       By X17 Staff

We were starting to judge him for this.

Drake is doing massive renovations to his $8 million Hidden Hills mansion, and those changes include ripping out the hideous grotto from his backyard. We don't know anybody that would want this at their pad, unless they're Hugh Hefner or a real housewife of Orange County!

He's also remodeling his master bedroom, getting a new roof, putting in a deck, and installing another 68 windows, according to TMZ. As if that wasn't enough, he's adding a spa and redoing the kitchen as well. Perhaps it would have been easier to put this eyesore up for sale and just find a new place?

Drizzy doesn't have the best taste in real estate it seems!

Bella Hadid, Cindy Crawford And Kaia Gerber Put Their Best Fashion Foot Forward In Paris

Posted on Mon Jan 22nd, 2018 10:30am PDT       By X17 Staff

Who cares about the runway when they're serving us such fierce street style!

Bella Hadid, Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber are just some of the many famous faces in Paris for fashion week, and they're definitely stealing the show with these looks! Gigi's little sis flashed her bra and wore dad sneakers with a suit, while the iconic 90s supermodel took a walk on the wild side with a cheetah print coat and her teen daughter gave us Matrix vibes with a leather wrap dress and motorcycle boots.

Cindy and Bella's mom Yolanda should be friends if they aren't already! They have a lot in common, as they're the parents to two of the most talked about model siblings. Kaia's older brother Presley has been hitting the catwalk in the city of lights, too, so it's a family affair!

Interestingly enough, Kendall and Gigi have been missing in action... they better protect their crowns, or they'll be replaced!

Abby Lee Miller has lost more than 100 pounds during her prison stay, and she showed off her new physique in this new Instagram photo. The Dance Moms star has been serving time for bankruptcy fraud since 2016, but rumor has it her release date is right around the corner.

"Sometimes in life you make mistakes I trusted the wrong people and didn’t pay any attention to things I should of. I’m more than sorry for the mistakes I have made. My world flipped upside down when I had to enter prison. I did so with grace, the stories you read about me been a princess are untrue. I have made friends with both inmates and staff, I’ve tried to better myself, participated in anything offered to me and I am a better person for this experience," she captioned the snapshot.

"All the press stories and speculation are not entirely correct however, I am feeling hopeful but no dates have been confirmed at this time. I am feeling great and ready to turn over a new leaf thank you so much to everyone for your support especially my nearest and dearest I love you all ❤️ ( and yes this is me in prison ) #abbyleemiller #abbylee #dancemoms #dance #aldc," she added.

Going to the slammer is apparently a great weight loss routine!

The Kardashian-Jenner Clan Pose For New Calvin Klein Ad In Their Undies

Posted on Mon Jan 22nd, 2018 8:40am PDT       By X17 Staff

This is one good looking bunch!

Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian teamed up with sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner for the new "Our Family. #My Calvins" ads, and the pregnant LipKit queen opted to keep her baby bump under wraps, while the rest of her siblings showcased their rock hard bodies.

In the corresponding video, the girls play a game of "Never Have I Ever" while laying around on a blanket in their undies. Among their confessions? Kimmy K has never gotten a tattoo, Kenny has never dyed her hair, Kourt has never jumped out of a plane, and Kylie has never eaten a rattlesnake. Umm ok!

So what made them want to pose together?

"The bond we share is infectious. Even though we pick on each other like normal siblings, we are each other’s biggest supporters . . . I want people to see unity, loyalty and strength. We’re a mix of everything, and I think family is the ultimate American dream," Khloe explained.

"As sisters, we talk to each other all the time. We’re definitely a modern family, and Calvin Klein embodies Americana," Kourtney added.

These are framers, for sure!

James Franco Attends The SAG Awards Despite Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Posted on Mon Jan 22nd, 2018 8:05am PDT       By X17 Staff

He's putting on a brave face.

James Franco attended last night's SAG awards amid sexual misconduct allegations, which marks his first public appearance since his Golden Globes win. He opted to skip the red carpet, and ultimately lost to Gary Oldman in the Male Actor in a Leading Role category.

The Disaster Artist star's sister-in-law Alison Brie was asked about the accusations against him, and chose to defend him in a pre-show interview with Giuliana Rancic.

"I think that above all what we've always said is it remains vital that anyone that feels victimized should and does have the right to speak out and come forward. I obviously support my family. Not everything that has been reported is fully accurate. So I think we're waiting to get all the information. But of course now is the time for listening and that's what we're all trying to do,' she explained.

One person who couldn't face the music? Aziz Ansari! The comedian, who was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, skipped the award show, after being accused of sexual misconduct for a date gone wrong in a piece for Babe.net.

It's hard to be a man in Hollywood these days!

Celebrities Hit The Streets For Women's March On 1st Anniversary Of Trump Taking Office

Posted on Sun Jan 21st, 2018 9:51am PDT       By X17 Staff

Girl Power!!!

The ladies were out in full force, taking no prisoners, raising their voices and furthering those ideas that aren't just hashtags -- #MeToo and #TimesUp. Women -- celebrities and all us regular folk -- took to the streets in LA, DC, New York, Chicago and around the country and even outside of the US to declare this movement is NOT over. Women will not be repressed and silent; we will be heard and in Hollywood, that meant celebrities took to the stage at a massive protest in downtown Los Angeles.

Viola Davis gave a rousing speech in which she declared she was a Me Too. Natalie Portman told of her experience as an unfairly-sexualized 13-year-old actress. Eva Longoria slammed the "sexist, racist rhetoric” coming out of the White House. Jennifer Lawrence, Cameron Diaz and Adele banded together with signs, scarves and sunnies to take to the streets and get their message out. Cameron’s sign read, “A ‘movement’ should never take us backwards. It should only ever carry us forwards.” Adele wrote on her sign: "Everyone’s full of s—t” and on another: “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change! I am changing the things I cannot accept."

Check out these inspirational speeches ...
