Now that Regis Philbin is stepping down as co-host of Live! with Regis and Kelly, who will land the coveted spot as his replacement?

Reege has been the face of the hit program for 28 years, and filling that seat next to Kelly Ripa is going to be a daunting task. Entertainment Weekly has created list of potential replacements, but do any of these guys measure up?

The contenders so far: Extra's Mario Lopez, Survivor's Jeff Probst, CNN's Anderson Cooper, ABC's Chris Cuomo, The Bachelor's Chris Harrison, Neil Patrick Harris, Access Hollywood's Billy Bush and host of Dirty Jobs Mike Rowe. Others who have been thrown in the mix: Nick Jonas, Tom Bergeron and Bryant Gumbel.

Philbin, who has denied leaving the show due to a paycut, gave co-host Kelly Ripa a 15-minute advance notice of his decision to retire. Might not have been the best way to break such huge news.

Oscar winner Matt Damon was spotted shooting scenes for Cameron Crowe's latest film We Bought a Zoo in Los Feliz yesterday, and he may be 40 years old, but he still looks like the hunk we fell in love with in Good Will Hunting!

The new flick is about a father moves his family to the English countryside to own and operate a zoo, and it will co-star Elle Fanning and Scarlett Johansson, among others.

After meeting with Phoenix-based radio station Mix 96.9 last Friday, Bristol Palin has been offered a job co-hosting a morning show, Mix host Mathew Blades said on Wednesday.

Palin recently purchased a five-bedroom house in Maricopa, which is approximately 35 miles south of Phoenix, no word yet on whether Palin has accepted the job.

We're curious to see if Bristol has what it takes to hold down a real job...

Spider Man has never looked this adorable! Britney Spears' little boy, Jayden James, dressed up as his favorite superhero while heading to Menchie's in Calabasas.

The pint-sized cutie, carrying a big cup of frozen yogurt, is sporting some massive biceps. Good thing because that cup looks mighty heavy!

Wonder if daddy Kevin Federline has a matching costume? We'd love to see that.

No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal and longtime girlfriend Erin Lokitz welcomed daughter Coco Reese Lakshmi Kanal on Monday, they announced on the band's website.

In a statement titled "TONY + ERIN = COCO", Tony writes, "Welcome to the world our gorgeous daughter. Mom, Dad and Baby are happy in love."

This is the first child for Kanal and Lokitz, and it looks like Gwen Stefani's boys Kingston and Zuma now have another bandmate's kids to schedule playdates with!

Er, make that a burning desire to watch the new episodes this month!

The CW is currently promoting the midseason return of The Vampire Diaries, and what better way to do it than to reference venereal diseases? A rep for the network doesn't seem to think that's what it means, telling the press, “VD simply stands for Vampire Diaries, and anyone who thinks otherwise should probably get themselves checked out.”

Ha! Can't wait for some fresh blood, along with the return of Ian Somerhalder's gorgeous face...

Glee creator Ryan Murphy is ticked off at The Kings of Leon, and he wants everybody to know about it.

Apparently last year, the popular band denied Murphy's request to use their Grammy-nominated hit Use Somebody on Fox's hit show, and it offended Murphy so much, he decided to get vocal about the snub.

Murphy expressed to The Hollywood Reporter:

F*** you, Kings of Leon. They’re self-centered a**holes, and they missed the big picture. They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument. It's like, OK, hate on arts education. You can make fun of Glee all you want, but at its heart, what we really do is turn kids on to music."

Ouch. If Kings of Leon doesn't want to see their song in a crazy Glee mash-up, that's their prerogative. It doesn't mean they hate on education and the arts for goodness sakes.

Of course Kings of Leon had to respond to the outlandish claim. The band told THR:

"This whole Glee thing is a shock to us. It's gotten out of hand. At the time of the request, we hadn't even see the show. It came at the end of that record cycle, and we were over promoting Use Somebody. This was never meant as a slap in the face to Glee or to music education or to fans of the show. We're not sure where the anger is coming from."

We're not sure where the anger is coming from either, but we are pretty certain we won't hear a Kings of Leon song featured on Glee ... ever.

This whole fight sounds very high school to us.

Move over, Britney Spears! Vanessa Hudgens, 22, is the new and younger face of Candie's.

The former High School Musical star is looking mighty grown-up and sexy in the new ads for the clothing and shoe line. Look at those legs! The colorful photo shoot took place at the Pink Hotel in Sun Valley, California.

Britney sent Zac Efron's ex a congratulatory tweet ... to which Vanessa responded:
