After a recent trip to Sudan, George Clooney has contracted malaria, according to Piers Morgan. The CNN host just tweeted:
BREAKING NEWS: George Clooney has contracted malaria following recent trip to Sudan. Reveals news on @PiersTonight tomorrow 9PM ET ... More Clooney - it's his 2nd bout of malaria. Taking medication but feeling rough.
Clooney was in Sudan last month to work with Google and the United Nations to help the troubled country improve their security.
UPDATE
George's rep tells X17online that the actor is "completely over the malaria he contracted while in the Sudan during the first week in January," adding that his appearance on Piers Morgan was taped on January 13. According to Clooney, "This illustrates how with proper mediation, the most lethal condition in Africa, can be reduced to bad ten days instead of a death sentence."

A whopping 26.1 million Americans tuned in for the 10th season premiere of American Idol last night, and while that seems like an impressive number, the show is actually down 13 percent from last year's opener, which caught the attention of nearly 30 million viewers.
Despite the ratings dip, the show crushed the rest of the Wednesday night programming, and fans seemed to enjoy new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. We wished J Lo was a bit more catty with some of the questionable contestants, but overall she cracked us up and her interaction with the Aerosmith frontman seemed genuine. Did you watch last night?
Nicki Minaj is a fashion risk taker, and we'll admit, it's refreshing!
The 26-year-old curvy singer, wearing a funky-printed jumpsuit and pink heels, wowed fans as she paid a visit to Radio 1 Studios in London, UK to promote her debut album Pink Friday.
The album has gone platinum ... with 376,000 copies sold the first week! As for that cotton candy-inspired wig, it's kinda sweet!

The I Kissed A Girl singer was busy Tweeting away while checking out the goings on behind The Social Network , and the curvaceous beauty seemed to really enjoy Zuckerberg's company.

Camille Grammer is coming clean about her soon-to-be-ex Kelsey Grammer's cross-dressing ways. The reality star had suggested, while on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show, that Grammer is a cross-dresser.
To clear things up, Grammer, 43, tells George Lopez:
"I don't regret anything I said on Howard Stern. I just regret that people don't take it as a joke. They take it so seriously. We were just being funny and having a good time."
Last year, Camille learned that Grammer had been dating Kayte Walsh, and that the two plan on tying the knot next month.
As for whether she'll get married again, the reality star adds:
"I don't want to get married again. I need time. I'm not dating anybody."
We have a feeling she won't be single for long! The season finale of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs tonight.
