Michael Douglas is speaking out about his battle with stage 4 throat cancer. The Wall Street actor sat down with Matt Lauer on NBC's Today to discuss his current health condition.

Sounding much stronger, Douglas tells Lauer:

"The odds are, with the tumor gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer, I've got it beat. I feel good, relieved. ... I have to get checked out on a monthly basis now to maintain. I guess there's not a total euphoria. I'll probably take a couple of months of getting checked out. But it's been a wild six-month ride."

The Oscar-winning actor, who is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones, adds:

"It's put a timeline on my life. I'm 66 now. You know, I'm fortunate. ... It's definitely a third act. And so you're a little more conscious of your time in how you choose to spend it."

Douglas is gearing up to star as Liberace in an upcoming film. He says, "I'm going to get my fingers ready."

Just this morning, his two young children with wife, Catherine, headed to school in NYC. We're sure his daughter, Carys Zeta and son, Dylan Michael are thrilled with dad's prognosis.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are not boycotting the Oscars due to Anne Hathaway's Saturday Night Live skit ... in which the Love and Other Drugs star pokes fun at Ms. Holmes.

Cruise's rep says the story is "not true and made up."

The Daily Mail had previously reported "Tom and Katie don't want to have to cross paths with Anne" after Katie watched Hathaway's skit and didn't approve.

The rep adds that the power couple had already made plans to not attend the Oscars even before Hathaway's skit aired on NBC's late night comedy show.

Glad that's cleared up! Sounds like TomKat is taking the high road.

Singer Jewel and her rodeo star hubby Ty Murray are about to become a family of three!

Jewel, who is the co-host for Bravo's upcoming show Going Platinum, found out about her pregnancy on the first day of her new gig. The 36-year-old songbird tells People:

"I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! It was so hard to keep it a secret. I was worried I'd start throwing up on set and everyone would be like, 'Oh, she's pregnant.' "

The couple tied the knot in the Bahamas back in 2008. As for trying to conceive, Jewel tells the mag it was definitely a process. She adds:

"I have always been a workaholic, so I had to learn how to slow down and take care of myself in a different way."

Jewel, now in her second trimester, released an album in 2009 called Lullaby ... a collection of children's song.

Their baby is going to love that CD!

Who knew she could read, much less write?! Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi signed copies of A Shore Thing at Borders in New York yesterday and frankly we CAN wait to buy it!

The Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy sums up the book this way: "The girls go out, meet misogynistic losers, and have a variety of adventures involving sex bets, firefighters, revenge-seeking high school frenemies and even a brush with a shark."

The sexy reality star shared a pic on set via her Twitter, and it looks like Kardashian is wearing ONLY a black silk robe.

Ms. K reveals:

The Kourtney & Kim Take New York star told USA Today the Skechers ad is actually very provocative ... surprise surprise. If this pic is any indication, football fans will thank Skechers Shape-Ups for interrupting the game with some smokin' hot curvaceous Kim K action.
