Katie Holmes just left the set of Jack and Jill at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles after receiving an emergency phone call this evening around 7:30pm PT.

The nature of the emergency is still unknown but a source tells us: "Her assistant answered Katie's cell and immediately tapped the director's assistant to have filming stopped. After a brief conversation, Katie left the set and her chauffeur picked her up and took her home. Everyone on the set was in shock because it was a key scene and now the production is on hold. No one is sure yet how this will affect the shooting schedule."

Tom Cruise is in Prague filming Mission Impossible IV so it seems likely something may have happened with Suri or another family member. It must be pretty serious to stop this multi-million dollar production.

Katie Holmes had a blast today with little Suri on set, running around a movie theater as Katie shot a scene from an upcoming movie.

The mother/daughter duo grinned as they raced each other around the lobby. It looks as if Suri was winning!

With Tom off shooting Mission Impossible 4 in Prague, I guess that mean's Katie's on mommy duty, whether she has to work or not!

Luckily, as both Tom and Katie have said before, Suri's already shaping up to be quite the little performer, so these set visits must just be a little on-the-job training for the little girl.

Samantha Geimer, the victim in the rape case against Roman Polanski, is speaking out for the first time since Polanski was captured by the Swiss authorities and almost extradited back to Los Angeles earlier this year to face the sentence he fled from thirty years ago.

Geimer said she was "relieved" Polanski was not forced to return to LA, to face charges stemming from a 1977 incident in which the director raped the then 13-year-old at the home of actor Jack Nicholson.

After having to replay the painful events of her childhood all over again, she said she felt his "coming back would be a thousand times worse" and that she's been "so much more damaged by the court system and the media" than Polanski, therefore it's easy to forgive the director.

We should all be so forgiving!
