The other day James Franco revealed his love for jerking it, and now the actor gets serious and chats with The Advocate about playing iconic gay poet Allen Ginsberg in the upcoming flick Howl.
When asked if he would admit it if he were gay, Franco replies, “Sure, I’d tell you if I was. I guess the reason I wouldn’t is because I’d be worried that it would hurt my career. I suppose that’s the reason one wouldn’t do that, right? But no, that wouldn’t be something that would deter me. I’m going to do projects that I want to do. Everyone thinks I’m a stoner, and some people think I’m gay because I’ve played these gay roles. That’s what people think, but it’s not true. I don’t smoke pot. I’m not gay."
So why does Franco continue to portray gay men? Franco says he finds these roles both more interesting and more challenging. “In this history of cinema, there are so many heterosexual love stories,†Franco tells the mag. “It’s so hammered, so done. It’s just not that interesting to me. It’s more interesting to me to play roles and relationships that haven’t been portrayed as often.â€Â

Samantha Ronson was spotted leaving her apartment yesterday, and the DJ remained tight-lipped when we asked her about ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan hiring Britney Spears' former manager, Larry Rudolph. In other Sam news, we're glad to see she's growing her hair out -- we're kinda curious to see what she's going to do with it though! Maybe she'll go platinum blonde and straight like she did a few years back?

Here's Miss Williams striking a sexy over-the-shoulder look in the new Desperate Housewives promo while holding the show's trademark red apple. Can you believe it's already Season 7?!
All five ladies look delicious, but we can't forget about Megan Fox's oh-so-sexy hubby Brian Austin Green, who will be playing a plumber and a love interest to Marcia Cross' character, Bree.
Good to see that B.A.G. is still landing roles all these years after Beverly Hills 90210!

Jessica Simpson will have the chance to show off her fashion sense as a judge on the Project Runway's Season 8 finale. Simpson, 30, will appear alongside Michael Kors, Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia on the show's final episode which was taped today at NYC's Lincoln Center.
Perfect timing for Jessica who earlier this week debuted her new Jeanswear collection, Show Me Your Blues. Miss Simpson has also found massive success with her shoe collection which, just last year, earned over $300 million in sales.

The October issue of Elle celebrates the magazine's 25th anniversary, and they're profiling 25 artists, athletes, actresses, and activists whom they label as "25-somethings" to watch.
The glossy chose Gabourey Sidibe, Amanda Seyfried, Megan Fox and Lauren Conrad for four different covers, but obviously our favorite is the one with the fantastic Ms. Fox on the front! As always, Megan's interview produced the most interesting quote of the bunch. When asked about married life, the 24-year-old actress tells the mag, "When I talk about my husband [Brian Austin Green], I feel as if people roll their eyes. It’s like when you’re 16 and order a martini, and the waiter says, ‘Do you think I’m stupid?’ They can’t grasp that I’m old enough to be married.â€Â
Of course, Megan's quote isn't anywhere near as interesting as this shot of Lauren Conrad trying to act like a tough girl:
