Ben Affleck joined his brother Casey in Italy where he's promoting his second directorial effort at the Venice Film Festival, the bank-robbing love story The Town.

Posing with co-star Rebecca Hall, who actually resembles Affleck's wife Jennifer Garner, Ben is looking yummier than ever.

And with the positive reviews for his film, it seems as if Ben's career is also hotter than ever!

Billy Ray Cyrus is determined to make his other children as famous as Miley, and he's hoping that his new show for the Syfy channel, UFO: Unbelievably Freakin' Obvious will make a household name out of son Trace Cyrus.

In the new reality show, Billy Ray and Trace will travel the country to debunk paranormal activity conspiracy theories.

"The existence of paranormal phenomena is something I've always wanted to explore further," Billy Ray told Variety. "Getting the opportunity to take this adventure with my son, who has always had a keen interest in this area, is a dream come true. I hope this series can shine a light on some of the activities we have questioned, and the mysteries that have long inspired us."

Before Billy Ray got rich and famous off of Miley, he parlayed his one-hit-wonder "Achy-Breaky Heart" into a starring stint on the show PAX TV show Doc, and appeared as the host of Syfy sister network USA's Nashville Star and ABC's Dancing With the Stars.

Other than being "Miley's Brother", Trace Cyrus is best known for being the lead guitarist in the now-defunct band Metro Station.

LaToya Jackson appeared at an event at an LA area mall over the weekend, where she talked about "keeping Michael's legacy alive."

LaToya hosted Cali Swag at the event, who sang their "Where You Are" song (the one that samples Michael Jackson's "I Wanna Be Where You Are") to the hyped up crowd taught the older Jackson how to do "The Dougie" on the mall stage. She may not be quite as talented as her brother, but at least she gets an A for effort!

Meanwhile, her sister Janet and brother Randy had dinner together across town at Hollywood's Katsuya restaurant, where they were joined by Will.i.am. Random!

In any other situation, this would def be TMI - but because it's James Franco, we don't mind!

The 127 Hours hunk is getting Oscar buzz for his latest film, a true-life story about a mountain climber who amputates his own arm in order to survive a dangerous accident out in the wild, but when chatting with the Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog, James took a topic detour:

"I spend a fair amount of time alone, especially when I travel maybe to something like this or for work or whatever, but I’m in hotels a lot for a lot of my life. And I don’t mind it because I have a lot of stuff to do on my own. I have a lot of reading to do for school or whatever ... You asked! So, when I’m alone, I do masturbate a lot. I don’t know why. It’s like you have those days where it’s just like, I have a ton of writing to do, or a ton of reading to do, and you’re just like, okay, I’m going to be on the couch all day or in bed all day just doing that. I tend to have a four- or five-time day. So, I probably would have if I was stuck under a rock."

Franco was of course referring to whether or not the actual man he portrayed in the film masturbated while he was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Paris Hilton is loving life in Hawaii, despite her recent charge for felony cocaine possession in Las Vegas.

The heiress, 29, who is vacationing with boyfriend and now-jobless Cy Waits, tweeted:

"I Love Maui ... Cooked a delicious lasagna dinner for my love and watched a movie. Now going to bed. Sweet dreams everyone."

As for her Vegas arrest, Paris Hilton was in and out of the Las Vegas jail she was taken to after officers arrested her for possession of cocaine in about three hours, which is only half the time the average person spends at the Clark County Detention Center. Miss P is used to special treatment!

Good thing she's enjoying her freedom now. If she's convicted of the drug charge, she could be facing a maximum sentence of four years in prison.

A chipper and casually dressed Lindsay Lohan arrived at the Santa Monica courthouse this morning to meet with her probation officer, and rather than rolling up in her Maserati, the starlet was chauffeured to her meeting in a black SUV.

We asked about her upcoming album (you know, the one Samantha Ronson will produce), but the Machete star wouldn't reveal whether or not her big comeback will be tied to the revival of her music career...

This morning the former Bachelor and DWTS contestant tweeted this pic of him and Bristol Palin together.

"Bristol Palin and I," he wrote, as if we needed the introduction. "She is gearing up for the DWTS premiere on Sept 20!"

We have a little office bet going on -- will Sarah Palin show up to watch her daughter boogie her butt off during the show or will Levi and Tripp be the ones cheering Bristol on in the audience?

Natalie Portman is going from tormented ballerina in Black Swan ... to being trapped in space for the upcoming drama Gravity.

Portman, who landed the role after Angelina Jolie reportedly dropped out, will play opposite Robert Downey Jr. The movie focuses around Portman's character who gets stranded on a space station after floating debris crashes into it ... wiping out everyone. Her goal is to get back to Earth where her daughter will be waiting for her return. Downey's exact character hasn't been revealed, however it is said to be just a supporting role.

The space-themed movie will be shot in 3D ... and has a price tag of $80 million!

Other actresses like Scarlett Johannson and Blake Lively were being considered for Portman's role, but she ultimately landed it. Producers are said to be happy with their choice especially because Portman's movie salary comes in at nearly half of Jolie's.

Gravity will start shooting in January. Talk about out-of-this-world casting!
