She's got every reason to smile!
Lindsay Lohan's latest flick
Machete has slashed its way to the top of the Friday box office, taking in $3.89 million yesterday, evening beating George Clooney's new movie
The American, which earned $3.769 million on its opening day. No word yet on the predicted earnings for Saturday and Sunday, but you can bet the latest masterpiece from Robert Rodriguez will attract lots of die hard fans over the holiday weekend.
Even though Lindsay wasn't exactly welcome at the premiere, it looks like the film will put some much needed cash in her pocket, and it's also helping re-establish her acting career. Welcome back, Lilo!

Last night we spotted Samantha Ronson arriving home after a DJ gig, and when asked about her doggie drama, Lindsay Lohan's ex-lover remained silent. After her English bulldog Cadillac fatally attacked another dog in her apartment building last week, it's been reported that the pooch will be sent to the East Coast to live. Hopefully Sam's able to work things out -- we've been able to get over her without Lilo, but Sam without Cadillac? That's more than we can handle!

Almost exactly a year after Kanye West charged the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards and snatched the mic from Taylor Swift's hands as she was accepting her win for Best Female Video, he's still apologizing.
The outspoken rapper took to his Twitter account earlier today to babble about how sorry he is and how he deserves all the flack he's gotten, writing, "When I woke up from the crazy nightmare I looked in the mirror and said GROW UP KANYE ... I take the responsibility for my actions ... I am not a bad person. Even in that moment I was only trying to do good but people don't always need my help."
Kanye added, "If you google a**hole my face may very well pop up 2 pages into the search", and while we're glad to see he has a strong sense of remorse, we kinda wish he'd put a cork in it!

See, Stephen Dorff isn't an out of work actor! He stars in the new Sofia Coppola flick
Somewhere, which is about a hard-partying Hollywood celebrity whose life is turned upside down after his young daughter (played by Elle Fanning) surprises him with a visit. We snapped Stephen and Sofia arriving at the Excelsior hotel in Venice, where it seems like the film has been getting decent (but not stellar) reviews from critics.

Yesterday afternoon we caught Audrina Patridge, Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey hitting the dancing studio to rehearse for the upcoming season of
DWTS, and everyone looked thrilled to be meeting up with their pro partners.
Of course, we also spotted this sexy beast at rehearsal as well:
Think the Hoff's got the moves to stay in the competition? Or will The Situation and Bristol Palin blow past him early in the competition?

Taylor Lautner reached a settlement with a California-based RV company yesterday, and the
Twilight star intends to donate the $40,000 he was awarded to charity.
Lautner purchased a trailer from McMahon's RV to use while filming
Abduction, but the trailer was not delivered by the requested date of June 21, so Lautner sued the company for breach of contract and fraud.
Lautner's attorney Robert Barta released the following statement:
"McMahon's RV has agreed to settle its dispute with Taylor Lautner. McMahon's RV will pay $40,000 to Lautner, which Lautner will donate to The Lollipop Theater Network, a children's charity with which he has a long-standing relationship. The Lollipop Theater Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses. The Lollipop Theater Network works with hospitals nationwide, including the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas."
