Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack, who died just five months after his movie-star wife, passed away from pneumonia and severe anemia, says an LA County coroner spokesperson.

Ironically, Simon passed away in the same house as his deceased wife, and like Brittany, was found by Murphy's mother Sharon. Some prescription drugs were also found in his system, but not enough to be lethal, according to CNN.

Brittany Murphy's cause of death was due to a combination of pneumonia, an iron deficiency and multiple drug intoxication.

On what makes him nervous:

"Things that shouldn't make you anxious whatsoever. It's crazy how your mind will become this database to make you worry about things that are so arbitrary. I have a well-organized life, and I've put a lot of thought into the things that I do, and then, you know, my stomach will be…I'll just be sitting there, totally anxious about something ridiculous."

On partying before the explosion of blogs and paparazzi:

"I got to be wild and nuts, and I didn't suffer as much as people do now, where they have to play it so safe that they ruin their credibility. I didn't care what anyone thought.... My two main competitors in the beginning, the blond-haired kids I went to audition with, one hung himself and the other died of a heroin overdose... I was never into drugs at all. On dating:

"I had better success meeting girls before Titanic. My interactions with them didn't have all the stigma behind it, not to mention there wasn’t a perception of her talking to me for only one reason."

Christina Applegate and her fiance, musician Martyn Lenoble, are expecting a child together, her rep has confirmed to X17online.

Applegate, 38, and Lenoble, 41, got engaged this past Valentine's Day after two years of dating and this is the first child for both.

Lenoble has been with the Samantha Who? actress since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, and she has said in past interviews that he was a big part of her support system during that difficult time in her life.

Bristol Palin has revealed that her mother Sarah "doesn't really approve" of her recent engagement to baby daddy Levi Johnston. "My mom is not 100 percent backing us up right now ... She's apprehensive and concerned about this. She doesn't want to see me get hurt again," Bristol tells Us Weekly.

Bristol broke the news to her family over the phone right after she did the cover shoot and interview with the mag, and she says, "She knew Levi and I had been talking, but she wanted to know if Levi was really sincere about this. I told her we were working on our relationship for Tripp, and she told me, 'Actions speak louder than words.' She's going to wait to see if he changes... But she's just glad he is getting on the right path. She knows how much Tripp means to me, and she wants Tripp to have a father figure."

Bristol added, "What I've done is starting to sink in, and every family member of mine has some concerns -- and that is scaring me. My dad is on the same page as my mom: they don't want to see me get hurt. They don't want to see again what I already went through with Levi. People are more worried for me than excited for me."

A pal close to the reality star tells In Touch Weekly, "Jon's made time for himself. Jon’s own dad never took care of himself and died at an early age, so Jon is doing whatever he can to ensure he’ll be around for his kids as long as possible.”

After his messy split from his wife Kate last year, Jon apparently stopped going to the gym had a bit of a midlife crisis, which included hitting the clubs, heavy drinking and smoking lots and lots of cigarettes. His pal added, “He feels better and looks better than ever.”
