Dr. Conrad Murray came out victorious at today's hearing in Downtown LA. Judge Michael Pastor did not revoke Dr. Murray's California medical license.

The judge told the courtroom that he didn't want to overrule the decision that was made back in February, and also that he didn't have jurisdiction over handling Murray's medical license.

Michael Jackson's family, including brothers Randy and Jermaine, sister LaToya, as well as Katherine and Joe Jackson were all present to hear the ruling.

Janet Jackson, who wasn't there, tweeted about her support for brother Randy, who has been spearheading the efforts to get Dr. Murry's medical license taken away. She tweets:

It's time the fans know the truth and ur one of the very few I trust n doing so. I got ur back all the way bro, whatever u need. I love u!

Ed Chernoff's office, attorney for Dr. Conrad Murray, tells X17online exclusively:

"We're very relieved and gratified at the outcome. We are so happy that we have a fair judge. Our biggest concern was the "domino effect." If Dr. Murray's California medical license gets taken away, we're afraid that Nevada and Texas would follow suit. If that were to happen, Dr. Murray would have no income."

We're told Dr. Murray is currently treating patients in both Nevada and Texas. As for California, his only patient was Michael Jackson, and to this day, it remains that way.

Murray's preliminary hearing date has been set for August 23.

We reported over the weekend that Joe Jackson blamed wife Katherine for the King of Pop's downward spiral and death, telling News of the World: "If she'd done what I asked, Michael would be here today. I am incensed with her. She could have made a difference."

Harsh much? But now Katherine Jackson is responding via her attorney Adam Streisand...

He tells the following to Access Hollywood:

"Joe Jackson's statements and conduct toward Mrs. Jackson are outrageous. The world knows Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and she had a very special relationship with Michael. The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget."

I think it's pretty clear that Joe needs to put his foot in his mouth from now on!

Dr. Conrad Murray will be facing Judge Michael Pastor today at the criminal court building in Downtown LA for a pre-trial hearing in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case.

The Attorney General attempted to have Murray's license suspended back in February but was denied.

Regarding recent reports claiming Katherine and Joe are at odds over who contributed to Michael's death, a Jackson source tells X17online exclusively, "A certain tabloid website has been blowing this out of proportion. Yes, Katherine wishes she had visited Michael before he passed, but her heart was in the right place. In no way did she contribute to his death. That's ridiculous. Now it's about moving on and being there for his kids. Of course, Joe and Katherine are still talking. There is no lawsuit going on between the two of them."

Britney and Jason left the boys with her dad and left town Friday for a weekend getaway to an exclusive Santa Barbara beachside resort -- but even though they want the public to think this was a "romantic getaway," it was anything but!

"Britney and Jason are totally fake. Jason is like Britney's assistant. They never hold hands unless the cameras are around. This trip seems like an attempt for Jason to salvage whatever type of relationship these two have with each other because everyone's reporting that they've broken up. Additionally, Britney seemed very tense and upset with her hands clenched and arms crossed as they left the hotel. And Jason wasn't looking too good himself, with wild unkempt hair and circles under his eyes as if he were up all night. Trying to keep up the charade is clearly getting to these two!

Perhaps Brit just doesn't want to fake it anymore?
