Last night Halle Berry attended the DKMS Linked Against Leukemia gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City, and it looks like the news of her split from model Gabriel Aubry wasn't bothering her one bit! The last time we saw Halle and Gabriel together was in October of 2009 at the Keep A Child Alive's 6th Annual Black Ball in NYC, and now that she's hitting the red carpet by herself, this seems like all the confirmation we need!

After dropping off her darling daughter Harlow at Creation Station in Studio City, we spotted Nicole Richie sipping on some coffee and hiding behind her aviators yesterday. Aw, no traffic school this week? You know Nicole is going to celebrate once her court mandated classes are over!

Despite numerous online reports that Lindsay is heading to jail for violating her probation terms, Lohan's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley is shooting down those claims.

Holley tells X17online exclusively:

"Though there have been occasional weeks when Lindsay has missed her alcohol treatment class, she has always managed to make up the class the following week by attending two classes. For this reason, we contend that Ms. Lohan is in substantial compliance with the conditions of her probation."

The probation stems from May 2007 when Lohan was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing her Mercedes convertible into a curb near the intersection of Foothill Drive and Sunset Boulevard.

Jessica Simpson showed off a shorter 'do on Twitter -- and this time, the cut's for real.

"Thank you @kenpaves!! I love my haircut!!!" Jess tweeted last night with a photo of a shoulder-length cut.

Jessica previously caused a stir when she posted pix of her sporting a short, blonde pixie wig, which she said was just "In flight hairdo fun!"

We're glad that she didn't actually decide to make the Carol Brady 'do more permanent and instead went for this shorter but still sleek and sexy cut!

David Letterman turned the tables on himself this morning when for once the talk show host sat in the guest chair to talk about the havoc his recent sex scandal wreaked havoc on his life and relationship.

"I don't know if people know about this, but I've had some trouble," Letterman joked when asked about his home life.

"It was stupid behavior," he told Live! With Regis and Kelly. "And you take a look at the explosion, and it knocks you down and you wake up every morning and you’re scared and you're depressed and sad, and you kind of got to let that knock you down and knock you down."

Letterman, who was at the center of an extortion plot by a former Late Show producer who had evidence of an affair David had with a staffer while in a relationship with the mother of his child, said he was hopeful he and wife Regina Lasko would put things back together.

"Because you think an explosion has taken place and you're looking at the shards and you say, 'Well, can we put this back together?'" Letterman said. "And by God, maybe you can put it back together. And maybe it won't be the same, but maybe it will be different, and maybe it can even be better in a different way."

David's extortionist, Robert Halderman, was sentenced to six months in jail and 1,000 hours of community service.

Last night Samantha Ronson hit up Voyeur, and after catching a glimpse at the smile on her face, it looked like the DJ was delighted that Lindsay was jetting out of LAX and nowhere near the club. Hey, when someone stalks you all over Hollywood, throws a glass at your head and posts manic messages on Twitter, it must be a nice vacation to get away from it!

Just one day after apologizing to X17online's photographers for threatening them, once again, Jesse James looked like he was going to snap after dropping his daughter Sunny off at school.

Photogs said he bristled when they asked if he would have visitation with Louis, the baby boy he was originally adopting with Sandra from New Orleans (which she now announced she'd raise as a single mom.)

"Don't ask that in front of my kids," Jesse responded. "Have some respect."

Just yesterday, Jesse apologized for getting violent with the photogs, saying, "Sorry. I understand you're just doing your job. Just be cool and don't get in my face."
