Though he was set to earn $7.5 million to star in David Ellison's Northern Lights, Taylor Lautner has dropped out of the project, and Miley Cyrus' boyfriend Liam Hemsworth is now considering the role.

According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Lautner would have been the highest paid teen in Hollywood had he signed on for the role, and Hemsworth may not be banking that much, but it seems as though he will get a fairly substantial chunk of change if he agrees to do it.

The film is about four young pilots in an extreme flying competition, and though this seems like a huge pay day, DHD reports that it's scared off several young actors "because David has written himself a big role in the movie which he's also financing." A source close to the flick adds, "What, you're going to work for your co-star who doesn’t have a big body of work? I've never seen anything like this before."

Mischa Barton is committed to getting her body back in shape. For the second time in a week, we spotted the OC starlet hitting the gym.

Despite the fact that Mischa claims to have "no idea" that her ex Brandon Davis (or someone pretending to be him) tweeted that she looks like a "hefer," Mischa certainly has done a 180 since the offending tweets hit the web, working out and eating salads!

With the preliminary hearing months away, Dr. Conrad Murray is currently in Houston treating patients, according to his attorney Ed Chirnoff. Chirnoff's office tells X17online exclusively:

"He's eagerly awaiting the chance to tell his side of the story. We've kept him from talking because there are too many rabbit holes that he could fall into."

Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. If convicted of the charges, Murray faces a maximum sentence of four years in prison.

Just last Friday, the Texas Medical Board entered an agreement with the doctor stating that he is prohibited from administering general anesthesia. The Nevada Medical Board is already gearing up to enter the same agreement.

Murray's defense team tells us they are still waiting for all of the prosecutor's evidence before the case can move forward:

"We have no idea what our defense is going to be. It's gonna be based on the prosecutor's theory which we have not received. Dr. Murray has never said that he knows what killed Michael Jackson. That's why the autopsy was ordered."

According to Chirnoff, "You may find after you are done watching the trial, that it is not nearly as cut and dry as prosecutors have presented." As for the possibility of a plea bargain, he adds, "Plea bargains are for guilty people."

Various theories have been floating around that Murray may not be the only doctor responsible for Michael's death. Online reports have also suggested that the LAPD botched the investigation so badly by allowing people to come in and out of the home following Jackson's death, possibly contaminating the crime scene.

A source close to Dr. Murray adds, "Right now, he's been more upbeat than ever before...especially since the death of Michael Jackson. Remember, Conrad's been living under the assumption that he's been charged with Michael's death. He was greatly encouraged when the judge did not take away his license in California."

"His main goal is to continue his practice and support his family," according to our source.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 14.

After recent allegations that Charlie Sheen has been cheating on her with a lingerie model and a high-class call girl, Brooke Mueller has finally moved out of the house she shared with her husband of almost 2 years, and is taking their one-year-old sons, twins Bob and Max with her.

"Brooke had been determined to try and keep their marriage together, if for nothing else than the sake of their children — even after their terrible fight in Colorado last Christmas," a source close to Brooke tells Star.

But after everything they've been through, the fight, the assualt charges, the restraining order, the rehab, the idea that Charlie has been cheating on her while she's been out of town is just too much for Brooke, who finally said enough is enough.

"She has to focus on what's best for her from now on," the friend says. "She's begun the process of moving out of their home into a house she's picked out in the L.A. area. She's had her fill of Charlie's cheating and unpredictability." As for the rehab, She's still on the road to recovery as an outpatient — but she's decided that she'll make that journey without Charlie."

When contacted, Brooke simply stated, "I'm not going to comment, other than to say that I'm doing what I need to do to move forward with my life."

Charlie will have to answer to charges of assault, criminal mischief and menacing this July in Colorado, stemming from his Christmas day fight with his wife, who claimed that he threatened to kill her during their physical bout.

Charlie could spend up to three years in jail if convicted.

Ricky Martin tweeted a promo video to fans in which he appears completely naked -- save for a few digital tattoos -- in a video produced for his Black & White tour, called My Skin Talks.

The older video has new meaning in light of his recent admission that he's gay.

In the clip, directed by Ricky's pal Dago Gonzales, Ricky lies completely naked on a white lit-up floor, while digital tattoos appear on his body, with Spanish words that read "change your life," "forgive" and "find yourself."

Ricky recently came out as a "fortunate homosexual man" in a public letter to his fans, ending years of speculation about the Puerto Rican singer. The video for My Skin Talks seems to be a very personal statement about his recent revelation, a stripping down of the singer who is experiencing a rebirth in his life and career.
