Jay-Z already did an interview with Oprah in
O Magazine, and now the music mogul has sat down with the talk show queen for an upcoming episode of her show. Beyonce's hubby reveals all sorts of details about his troubled childhood, and how making amends with his father helped him find his way to the love of his life.
Jay-Z's father left home when he was just 11 years old, and the rapper told Oprah:
"I just felt anger at the whole situation. Because when you're growing up, your dad is your superhero. Once you've let yourself fall that in love with someone, once you put him on such a high pedestal and he lets you down, you never want to experience that pain again. So I remember just being really quiet and really cold. Never wanting to let myself get close to someone like that again. I carried that feeling throughout my life, until my father and I met up before he died."
Jay-Z later found it his father lived only 10 minutes down the road from him, and it wasn't until his mother Gloria stepped in that the two were able to reconnect. On their reunion, Jay said:
"When my mom set up this meeting, I told her he wouldn't come - and the first time, he didn't. At that point, I was really done, but mum pushed for another meeting because she's just a beautiful soul. The second time, he showed up. And I gave him the real conversation. I told him how I felt the day he left. He was saying stuff like 'Man, you knew where I was.' I'm like, 'I was a kid! Do you realize how wrong you were? It was your responsibility to see me.' He finally accepted that."
Several months after their meeting, Jay-Z's father passed away, but he tells Oprah that their final meeting has helped him free himself and true love with his lady Beyonce.

An LA County Superior Court judge has extended the custody arrangement put in place for Britney Spears' Circus tour, which gives the pop star and her ex-husband Kevin Federline joint custody of their two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
The order stated that Spears may travel with her boys on her world tour, but she must provide Federline with a place to stay if he wants to accompany them. Court documents show that in addition to the $20,000 a month Spears pays in child support, Federline also receives approximately $20,000 to $25,000 a month when the boys travel outside of California.
This arrangement will be in place through the end of the year, at which point the judge will reevaluate the situation.

Mmmm, I love me some Wolverine!
I'm not nearly as obsessed with the delicious Hugh Jackman as one of my fellow X17 bloggers, but the man definitely makes me weak in the knees! It's a good thing he's not shirtless, because I'd be wiping a substantial amount of drool from my keyboard right about now!

Yesterday Kirsten Dunst and her
How To Lose Friends And Alienate People co-star Simon Pegg took the stand to testify against a thief who broke into the penthouse of the Soho Grand and stole their stuff while they were shooting a scene in the hotel lobby in 2007.
According to the
Post, Kiki gave a somewhat bizarre and "giggly" testimony that was peppered with "I mean," and "OK," and "Like," and "Yeah!" She even greeted the judge with a "Hi, how ya doin'?" before taking the stand!
I mean, like, so classy in court, Yeah?
Simon was a little more sober when he recounted the day he returned to the suite (which was being used as a green room for the cast) and found his stuff had been swiped.
Taken in the burglary was Dunst's Balenciaga bag, which she eventually got back, (phew!), her sunglasses and a wallet containing 2 grand in cash. Ummm...who carries that much cash? The thief pilfered from Pegg a cell phone iPod and a camera.
Prosecutors have fingered James Jimenez, a mechanic and convicted shoplifter, for the crime through DNA evidence.

And we're not the only ones who think so!
Charlize has admitted to WENN that "I would be an idiot to not consider that part," adding, "I think what has happened to that franchise is amazing. Chris Nolan is a genius."
Charlize is the latest lady to add her name to the list of actresses being considered for the role already tackled by Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry. (Although the
role might have tackled
Berry in her hilariously awful portrayal of Selina Kyle.)
Megan Fox has previously
denied reports that she had signed on to sink her teeth into the role, with a studio rep stating, "There is no script. There is no project to be cast in."
And while that still remains true for Charlize, we somehow feel she's a better fit for the PVC suit, as anyone who saw
2 Days In The Valley can tell you!

He continues to speak from the grave!
Michael Jackson sat down with close friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach over 8 years ago for an interview, and though the late King of Pop made some rather incendiary remarks, the
Daily Mail reports that he knew the tapes would be released one day.
At one point during the interview, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler's name came up. Though Jackson's intent probably wasn't to praise Hitler, he certainly had plenty to say about the murderous dictator. "Hitler was a genius orator. To make that many people turn and change and hate, he had to be a showman and he was." When asked if he had the ability to make Hitler change, Jackson said, "Absolutely. You have to help them, give them therapy, teach them that somewhere, something in their life went wrong."
He also told the rabbi he wanted to date Princess Diana, but he was too shy to ask her out. He said, "I thought she was very special - very feminine and classy. She was my type for sure and I don't like most girls. It takes a very special mould to make me happy and she was one of them."
So what about someone like Madonna? Michael told the rabbi he was convinced that Madonna was in love with him, but thought she was jealous of his success, saying, "I think she was in love with me and I was not in love with her. We had nothing in common. She is not sexy at all." Ouch! Good thing this didn't come out before Madonna's speech at the VMAs earlier this month!
