What a coincidence!

Ivanka Trump's fashion line has hit record highs in sales this year, despite calls to boycott the brand after her dad Donald became President in January.

In addition, Ivanka Trump Marks LLC has won provisional approval from the Chinese government for four new trademarks, and some people are crying foul. The approval was conveniently granted the same day the POTUS' daughter dined with President Xi Jinping of China at Mar-a-Lago. Criminal conflict of interest law prohibits government officials, which she now is thanks to her expanding role in the White House, from financially profiting over government matters.

"Ivanka has so many China ties and conflicts, yet she and Jared appear deeply involved in China contacts and policy. I would never have allowed it," Norman Eisen, who served as chief White House ethics lawyer under Barack Obama, told Daily Mail. "For their own sake, and the country's, Ivanka and Jared should consider stepping away from China matters."

After the Prez came to his little girl's defense, press secretary Sean Spicer was forced to defend his decision to do so during a press conference.

"I think there's clearly a targeting of her brand, and it's her name still out there. So while she's not directly running the company, it's still her name on it. And there's clearly efforts that – to undermine that name based on her father's positions on particular policies, that he's taken. This is a direct attack on his policies and her name. And so that – there's clearly an attempt for him to stand up for her, because she is being maligned, because they have a problem with his policies," he told reporters.

Business is tricky when you mix it with politics, that's for sure!

Here's two names we never thought would go together.

Prince William reached out to Lady Gaga to help break the stigma associated with mental illness, and the two discussed the public health issue during a FaceTime call, which they proceeded to share on Instagram and Facebook.

"Harry, Catherine and I really felt this was such an important area that throughout all our charitable work, whether it was the veterans, homelessness, addiction, most of it seemed to stem back to mental health issues. I read your open letter you wrote the other day, and I thought it was incredibly moving and very brave of you to write down such personal feelings." the royal tells Mother Monster in the clip.

"For me, waking up every day and feeling sad and going onstage is something that is very hard to describe. There’s a lot of shame attached to mental illness. You feel like something’s wrong with you. In my life, I go, ‘Oh, my goodness, look at all of these beautiful, wonderful things that I have. I should be so happy.’ But you can’t help it if in the morning, when you wake up, you’re so tired, you’re so sad," she responds.

The future King then invites Gagaloo overseas in October to work with his, Kate, and Harry's charity Heads Together, which aims to get people talking about mental illness. "It's OK to have this conversation. It’s really important to have this conversation and that you won't be judged. It's so important to break open that fear and that taboo, which is only going to lead to more problems down the line," he adds.

My how times have changed!

Katy Perry surrounds herself with the most fierce and fabulous people on the planet, but the singer admits in a new Vogue interview that she wasn't allowed much exposure to homosexuals growing up in a strict Evangelical Christian household.

"The schools were really makeshift. Education was not the first priority. My education started in my 20s, and there is so much to learn still," she explained of her sheltered upbringing.

"[I was not] allowed to interact with gay people. There is some generational racism. But I came out of the womb asking questions, curious from day one, and I am really grateful for that: My curiosity has led me here. Anything I don’t understand, I will just ask questions about. But my house was church on Sunday morning, church on Sunday night, church on Wednesday evening; you don’t celebrate Halloween; Jesus gives you your Christmas presents; we watch Bill O’Reilly on TV. That was my whole childhood and youth and early teens. I still have conditioned layers dropping off of me by the day," she added.

With age comes wisdom, so what has she learned along the way?

"I wouldn’t give anything to go back to my 20s; I’m so much more grounded. And I’ve learned a lot of lessons—patience, the art of saying no, that everything doesn’t have to end in marriage. That your education can start now. I blasted off on a rocket, holding on for dear life,” she confessed.

The "Chained to the Rhythm" songstress was a huge Hillary Clinton supporter during the election, and after Donald Trump won, it brought back old issues.

"I was really disheartened for a while; it just brought up a lot of trauma for me. Misogyny and sexism were in my childhood: I have an issue with suppressive males and not being seen as equal. I felt like a little kid again being faced with a scary, controlling guy. I wouldn’t really stand for it in my work life, because I have had so much of that in my personal life. But it’s an awakening that was necessary because I think we were in a false utopia . . . we can’t ever get that stagnant again. I am so grateful that young people know the names of senators. I think teenage girls are going to save the world! That age group just seems to be holding people accountable. They have a really strong voice—and a loud one," she mused.

It was reported yesterday that Carmelo Anthony and wife La La had split after seven years of marriage, and now we're learning why! Apparently, the NBA star impregnated an exotic dancer, and now she's three months away from giving birth, TMZ reports. Yikes! The unidentified woman now wants the baller to pay for medical expenses and other child-related costs.

The couple had allegedly been having problems for a while, but the cheating was the straw that broke the camel's back. The former MTV host has already packed up her stuff and left. "La La moved out of the family home last week and has her own place in NYC now," a source dished to the outlet.

The two have began dating in 2004 and married in 2010. They share son Kiyan, 10.

Perhaps Kim K can lend her pal a shoulder to cry on?

Victoria Beckham was in a lighthearted mood at LAX on Monday as she headed to London with hubby David and daughter Harper on the occasion of her 43rd birthday. Photographers greeted VBecks with a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday To You as she got out of the car and made her way to the terminal and Victoria actually loved it! Yeah, that straight face and downturned head means she loved it -- that's as expressive as she gets.

In her Supreme x Louis Vuitton tee, her now signature wide-legged trousers and her adorable choppy hair, Victoria made her way through security, even giving a wave to the paparazzi as she finished and headed to her plane.

Hottie David Beckham, in his straw hat, and little Harper in her Victoria Beckham for Target girls' dress and Burberry backpack, weren't far behind, going through the VIP entrance. And they're off to London for a birthday bash! Check out the super-adorable Harper singing Happy Birthday to her mum ... sweet!

Prince Harry will bring girlfriend Meghan Markle to Pippa Middleton's wedding, but she won't be on hand for the actual ceremony, People reports. Due to a "no ring, no bring" policy, only those with spouses are given a plus one to the event, but the Suits star will join her man as his date to the reception.

Kate Middleton's little sister is set to wed financier James Matthews at St. Mark’s church in Engelfield, England, on May 20. The guest list was likely formalized last year, before the royal and the actress went public with their romance, so it's not an intentional snub.

The spare heir is certainly serious about his relationship with the brunette beauty. Instead of attending Easter services with the rest of his clan, he flew out to Toronto to spend the holiday with his lady love.

Mel B was out and about running errands in LA over the weekend, and she had her security detail with her at all times! It's no wonder, considering the former Spice Girl is "living in fear of her life" following her decision to file for divorce from her allegedly abusive husband Stephen Belafonte.

She has extra muscle on the set of America's Got Talent, too, just to make sure her ex doesn't show up and try to ambush her.

"Mel is petrified about her safety and fears Belafonte may attempt to crash the filming to see her. She is living her life in fear about the ramifications of filing legal papers of divorce and the restraining order," a source dished to The Daily Star.

A new report claims Belfonte savagely beat the mother-of-three when he suspected she was having an affair with Simon Cowell.

"Stephen’s jealousy at that point was causing massive problems in the marriage — and he was convinced something was going on between her and Simon. He did not like the fact Mel obviously looked up to him and spoke about him a lot," a source dished to The Sun.

“He thought she was up to all sorts at the time — but accusing her of sleeping with Simon was a real low point. He just couldn’t control his jealousy and anger when she was appearing on such a high-profile show with successful people that he didn’t know. It caused huge arguments that led to a loss of trust that never really healed. It is definitely one of the things that led to the eventual breakdown of their relationship,” the source added.

The British beauty has since reportedly cut off Belafonte from all her bank accounts, and is seeking the help of victim support groups to deal with the trauma of her tumultuous marriage to the music producer.
