Kate Gosselin sat down with Meredith Vieira for her first television appearance since announcing her split from husband Jon less than 8 weeks ago, and some of the things she had to say totally have us on Team Kate now!

When Vieira questioned her about Jon's younger, party princess girlfriend Hailey Glassman, Kate said, "I was shocked, but those things...to be very honest, that's his life and they don't affect me directly at this point...It is hurtful. It's very hurtful. To be very honest, the most hurtful part is when his decisions directly affect our children. That's the hardest part for me."

Vieira asked why she still wears her wedding ring, and Kate broke down into tears and replied, "For [the children]. I don't want to upset them. While I've been very real and as honest as I need to be, I don't want to shock them. I've walked slowly through this with them. As they've asked questions, I've answered them." She added that she'll take off the ring "when the time is right."

When Vieira discussed the split, and who was responsible for it, Kate responded, "Nobody's perfect. I was not perfect. Obviously, it takes two. I don't know. What would I go back and change? It's hard to say. Clearly, [Jon's] goals are not my goals, so we just needed to work that out. I think it's very clear that we are two different people at this point, with two different sets of goals."

So how is she coping? "I am determined to hang in there. What life hands me, I am going to do and deal with," she said. "My focus still, as I've always said - as I will always say - is the health and well being of my children, as well as myself...this is not what any mother sets out for her children. This does not feel like the best for them...I want my children to see a mother who is committed to her children, who is determined, who has integrity, perseverance and never gives up. I want my children to see that everything I've done for them is out of love."

Jon is scheduled to give his first interview since the split on E! tonight, so it should be very interesting to see what he has to say!

First of all, let me say that I love the dress. LOVE it! It's fierce and fashion-forward. Well done, Kristen!

But to match it with such a boring outfit? Eh. It doesn't help the fact that Twilight starlet Stewart always looks awk at big events like these. That's okay! Not everyone has to be Miley Cyrus. But why the sad face, K?

Is it because Rob's only hanging out with his male co-stars? Hope there's no trouble in paradise!

Watch out, Mandy... it looks like Ms. Miley could be replacing you!

The Disney princess and the Black Eyed Peas songstress both attended the Teen Choice Awards this year and even posed for pix on the red green carpet together. Wow, it looks like they might've even got a little TOO close in that second pic. Why am I hearing "I Kissed A Girl" in my head all of a sudden?



And even though I love me some Miley Cyrus, I feel like she's trying too hard in these pictures. (Showing too much skin, too!) Whaddya think of her "work it" face?

I could just stare at pictures of Chace Crawford all day... but enough of that!

The Gossip Girl hunk took home the Teen Choice Award for TV Actor (Drama) at Sunday's event. Hmm, he's kinda wearing the same outfit as Taylor Lautner, and it's a little drab, right? Ah well - his hottness overcomes all!

Twilight won NINE of the TWELVE Teen Choice Awards for which the film was nominated tonight, including the award for best drama, and Mr. Robert Pattinson looked H-O-T while picking up those prizes!

RPtaz got best actor and Kristen Stewart, best actress, PLUS the vampire flick picked up best romance, best liplock, best rumble, vest villain (Cam Gigandet), fresh face female (Ashley Greene), and fresh face male (Taylor Lautner)! Rachelle Lefevre - snubbed again!

So, in other Teen Choice Awards news ...

• Miley Cyrus won SIX awards, including best comedy TV show, best comediay actress (Hannah Montana), best music/dance movie actress, best hissy fit, best music single (The Climb), and best summer song (for Before the Storm)



• Gossip Girl won the prize for best series and Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester, and Ed Westwick won for best drama actor, best actress, and best villain, respectively.



• The other big winner of the night was Mr. Zac Efron! He picked up the surf board for best music/dance actor (HSM 3) and two prizes for 17 Again -- best comedy movie actor and best rock-star moment.



• Miley and the Black Eyed Peas, Sean Kingson, and the Jonas Brothers performed.

The Teen Choice Awards air on Fox tomorrow night at 8 pm!

Zac Efron was sporting a half-stache tonight on the Teen Choice Awards red carpet and me thinks he's looking a tad bit ... old!

And by old I mean, like 25. But still, doesn't that extra hair above his lip just add a couple years?

Anyway, the HSM star picked up the awards for best comedy movie actor and for best mucis/dance actor in the third installment of the hit series. And here's what he had to say about his new surfboard ...

I would have NEVER thought I'd like Kim Kardashian as a blonde (okay, a semi-highlighted, browny-blonde), but I LOVE it!

How it is possible this girl can look picture-perfect all the time (okay, she is on the Teen Choice red carpet, so of course she's supposed to look perfect)?! She took a risk and it looks delicious!

That's right, folks - the hat on Little Miss Miley's head is one of Phoebe Price's designs. Never thought we'd see that!

The Disney sweet-tart is back in LA after shooting The Last Song in Georgia, and we spotted her out and about in NoHo (with BFF Mandy) wearing a sexy pair of short shorts and gulping a Gatorade...

Can't wait to see to see her perform at the Teen Choice Awards tonight! Too bad it doesn't air until Monday - will you be watching???
