The songstress was spotted in NYC last night, and she rocked a bright yellow umbrella (ella!) as she sashayed down the street. After going shopping in those crazy cut out thigh highs, Rihanna slipped back to her hotel to change into a canary yellow blazer and ripped black jeans. Hey, a girl's gotta have a few different outfits for every occasion! Or in this case, a few different outfits for each day...

As you may know, Rihanna canceled her first scheduled performance since the Chris Brown incident on May 28 in Dubai because it coincides the hearing date in Los Angeles. Yassin Matbouly, managing director of Vibe Entertainment Management Agency in the U.A.E. said he was told by Rihanna's management company that "it was inappropriate timing for her to have a public concert."

Looks like we'll have to deal with pictures of Rihanna shopping, clubbing and working the red carpet...but we know she'll be back onstage in some crazy costume soon enough!

Yesterday afternoon Vanessa Hudgens got lunch at Cecconi's in West Hollywood, and we were shocked the see the HSM starlet in such a chipper mood! And she even brushed her hair too! What's all this about?

Last night Lindsay Lohan dined at Cecconi's with little sister Ali and some friends, while Samantha was seen coming and going from the Dark Room on Melrose. It seemed like the ladies were on their own, but just moments after Samantha left the club around 1:30am, Linds pulled up looking for her! A little bit later we caught up with Lindsay at Samantha's pad, and all signs are pointing to yet another sleepover. Does this mean the ladies are back together?!

Don't mess with Jack Bauer! Especially if he's had a drink or two!

Kiefer Sutherland reportedly headbutted Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough at a party following Monday night's Costume Institute Gala, according to the New York Daily News.

The altercation was reportedly sparked after the designer pushed Brooke Shields. Kiefer demanded an apology (apparently he was trying to protect her honor) and when McCollough refused, that's when things got physical.

Now here's the strange part, some reports say that McCollough and Brooke are actually great friends (she's often seen wearing Proenza Schouler on the red carpet) and that Kiefer's actions are just plain nuts! Brooke's peeps are even defending McCollough saying it was a big misunderstanding and that "nothing happened to her."

McCollough, for his part, is claiming that Kiefer was "drunk and acting obnoxious and wouldn't back down or be logical."

It's apparently well known around Hollywood that Kiefer can be kind of a hot-head when he's had a few too many.

So what's the deal? Cops are going to have to figure that out. They're expected to interview all the parties involved by the end of the week.

After Gwen Stefani and company grabbed dinner at Buddha's Belly in West Hollywood last night, we photographed the singer holding precious little Zuma, while looking like a million bucks. In sweats. Ugh, this is so unfair!

Before Gwen stepped out of the restaurant, the nanny quickly carried Kingston to the car, but we were still able to snap a shot of our favorite celebritot...thank goodness! We just can't get enough of Kingston!

After being sued by the producers of 2006's Pledge This! for not doing enough to promote the flick, Paris Hilton is defending herself in a deposition filed in Miami federal court.

Paris states, "Any chance I got, any red carpet, any press, if I was doing something for another product...I would just bring it up, 'Oh, my new sorority film, it's going to be sexy, it's going to be really hot girls'...I really did my best."

The Associated Press reports that the lawsuit was filed by Michael Goldberg, the court-appointed receiver for a failed Miami investor in the film, Worldwide Entertainment Group. Goldberg claims Hilton's failure to promote the movie's DVD release cost the investor more than $8.3 million, which is the amount of damages he's seeking. The trial is set to begin by June 8.

Paris and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., insist that the heiress honored her deal to promote the limited theatrical release of Pledge This!, and they also contend that the investors made unreasonable and last-minute demands for publicity events when her schedule was fully booked.

Court documents in the case show that Paris earned more than $22 million in 2006 and 2007 from contracts that included heavy promotional work, including Motorola cell phones in Japan, her Parlux line of fragrances, cosmetics and accessories, and promotional nightclub appearances. And if you know Paris, you know she knows a thing or two about plugging products!

We have firsthand knowledge of Paris' publicity machine-like ways - she's always cordial and gracious with our photogs, and the girl is like a one-woman PR firm, so we can't imagine her not sticking to her end of bargain when it comes to promoting something!
