Victoria Beckham didn't want to be outshone by the models at the Met Costume Institute Gala last night, and she showed a little leg (in a pair of killer heels, natch) and worked the red carpet in a short mesh covered frock. We're kind of surprised she didn't rock a bright pink gown or a sea of sequins, but with a train like that, who needs a pop of color? Normally we aren't a fan of trains on short dresses, but this is Posh Spice we're talking about here...the woman can pretty much do whatever she wants!

John Mayer gave the world (well, X17) this comedic gem last week and last night, Jen gave us her appearance on Jimmy Fallon -- she was back to her old Friends humor and we love it!

First the singer dated Jennifer Love Hewitt, then he upgraded to Jessica, after that he was with Minka Kelly for a hot minute, then he got together with Cameron Diaz, and finally he began his high profile romance with Brad Pitt's ex-wife. Whew! Of course, there's the whole Scheana Marie romance (not to mention the countless other babes he's hooked up with in between A-list girlfriends), but if you look at all the ladies he's dated over the years, there is definitely an upward trend when it comes to how famous they are...

So, is the self proclaimed single man on the hunt for a lady with even more starpower, or is he looking for love? The waitresses who slapped Gerber with a lawsuit alleging they were fired when they refused the restaurateur's advances may be in for a big surprise: George Clooney, who was with Gerber the night of the incident is ready to defend his pal not only in public, but on the witness stand if necessary.

Clooney, in a statement to X17online, says:

"I was with Rande the entire night - as were a lot of people - they will all say the same thing that I'm saying. This event never happened. Period."

For some reason, Clooney has an air of absolute truthfulness surrounding him (probably because, although he's not a doctor, he did play one on tv!) so I'm inclined to believe him 100%!
