Amber Heard is donating her $7 million settlement equally between two charities, the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Heard said in a statement, “As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves."

“As reported in the media, the amount received in the divorce was $7 million, and $7 million is being donated,” she continued. “This is over and above any funds that I have given away in the past and will continue to give away in the future.”

The 30-year-old went on, “I know these organizations will put the funds to good use and look forward to continuing to support them in the future. Hopefully this experience results in a positive change in the lives of people who need it the most.”

The ACLU thanked Heard for her donation: “We are incredibly grateful that Ms. Heard has so very generously shown her support for the important and necessary advocacy for victims of domestic violence. We could not be more thankful for Ms. Heard’s support — she can be confident that this gift will help other women live safely and freely.”

On Tuesday, August 16, after their divorce case was finally settled. The exes issues a joint statement, “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future.”

While many people believe that Heard donating the $7 million to charities vindicates her -- we don't.

Donating $7 million to charity proves nothing (other than the fact that both parties want this over with) -- these people have the best lawyers in the world, who know how to spin what needs to be spun.

Look carefully at their joint statement: "Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity.” It does not say anything about the ENTIRE proceeds of the divorce to charity. These statements are carefully worded for a reason.

Earlier this week, Amber issued a statement saying that she was "vindicated in the court of public opinion" -- and then quickly retracted the statement and apologized to Depp. That's likely all about lawyers and money. Depp has the money -- she does not. It's very likely if Heard violates the stipulations of their settlement (aka bad mouthing) -- she will not get the money.

We think it's very likely that Depp gave Heard a private settlement that we ain't ever gonna hear about. Depp is reportedly worth $400 million. Think about it -- $7 million is nothing. Of course we don't know the truth -- but we do know how to poke holes in what look like lies.

Hailey entered the Selena/Justin/Sofia online love triangle recently when she commented on social media about her ex's new relationship with the underage "model" Sofia Richie and how trolls were slamming the hookup in defense of Hailey and Bieber's longtime love Selena Gomez. Baldwin wrote, somewhat cryptically: "We've all had our fair share of things we've done, both good and bad. What makes the present so powerful is when we take complete responsibility for our actions, we allow ourselves self-growth. Misplacing the blame onto someone else isn't going to get you to the next stage in life, so try not to manipulate a situation to make yourself look better. The truth always come to light, so it's better just to own it."

So just what IS the truth now? Are Justin and Sofia still together or was it a short-lived fling?

Kylie Jenner did a good job of acting coy -- but she also made sure to show off the blinging engagement ring while hanging out with her rumored fiance Tyga on Thursday night in Calabasas, Calif.

Kylie looked casual in a 424 University Hoodie, which costs $235. Tyga wore a black Ferrari shirt and a black ball cap for their low-key hang.

The twosome seemed happy to hang out together without all the glitz and glamour, which may have to do with Tyga's recent money troubles -- he had to shell out $480K last week for owing his old landlord back money in rent and for damages. This week it turns out that a Beverly Hills jeweler is alleging that the rapper owes him $200K for not paying him money owed for a watch and gold chain necklace.

Maybe Tyga should be eating ramen and taking the bus given his financial issues!

When asked last month by Hollywood Today Live if he's proposed to his 19-year-old girlfriend, the rapper has previously been rather evasive, saying, "I don’t wanna give it away."

Umm ... whatever that means! That ring kind of gives it all away!

America's dumbest human, Ryan Lochte, is finally apologizing for lying that he and teammates Jimmy Feigen, Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger were held up at gunpoint at a gas station on Sunday -- because it turns out that the swimmers actually vandalized the gas station bathroom instead. Cool dudes.

The gold medal-winning swimmer wrote in Instagram, “I want to apologize for my behavior last weekend — for not being more careful and candid in how I described the events of that early morning and for my role in taking the focus away from the many athletes fulfilling their dreams of participating in the Olympics. I waited to share these thoughts until it was confirmed that the legal situation was addressed and it was clear that my teammates would be arriving home safely.”

Umm dude, we saw the Billy Bush interview: you LIED, on TV. Not cool.

Lochte continued ... "It's traumatic to be out late with your friends in a foreign country - with a language barrier - and have a stranger point a gun at you and demand money to let you leave, but regardless of the behavior of anyone else that night, I should have been much more responsible in how I handled myself and for that I am sorry to my teammates, my fans, my fellow competitors, my sponsors, and the hosts of this great event." 

Aww how "traumatic" for you ...

He added, "I accept responsibility for my role in this happening and have learned some valuable lessons. I am grateful for my USA Swimming teammates and the USOC, and appreciate all of the efforts of the IOC, the Rio '16 Host Committee, and the people of Brazil who welcomed us to Rio and worked so hard to make sure that these Olympic Games provided a lifetime of great new memories."

Umm dude, you blamed armed men whom you said dressed as police officers and held you up at gun point (essentially saying Rio was filled with unsafe and unsavory characters) -- when in fact you and your friends were just jackasses and then liars.


Meanwhile, the rest of Lochte's teammates seem to be cooperating -- probably because they can't leave Rio until they do.

The United States Olympic Committee spokesman Patrick Sandusky told Us Weekly on Thursday, "The three U.S. Olympic swimmers (Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and James Feigen) are cooperating with authorities and in the process of scheduling a time and place today to provide further statements to the Brazilian authorities. All are represented by counsel and being appropriately supported by the USOC and the U.S. Consulate in Rio."

Lochte's teammate, Jimmy Feigen has agreed to pay roughly $11,000 so he can leave the country. That's one expensive night of partying!

The 26-year-old is slated to donate the money to a Brazilian charity Reaction Institute in order to avoid prosecution, the Associated Press reports.

His lawyer, Breno Melaragno Costa, announced the settlement on Friday, August 19. The day prior, Feigen's passport was seized and he was detained at the airport in Rio.

The other swimmers, Bentz and Conger, came forward on Wednesday night and said that the story was a lie. On Thursday, Brazilian officials announced that the alleged robbery incident never occurred and that the swimmers were lying. Security footage from the gas station caught what actually happened on camera.

Way to make Americans look great, guys!

Ryan Lochte is caught up in a major scandal amid rumors he lied about being held up at gunpoint during a robbery at the Rio Olympics, and now Brazilian authorities are claiming his witness pals Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz, who were pulled off a plane for questioning Wednesday, have confessed that the story is fabricated, People reports.

"Their story was not right. We knew on Sunday that their story was not right, because it didn't make sense. The stories that the two men told us were not the same. The other two men would not speak to us. So we knew that they were lying," the Brazilian police source dished to the mag.

"Everything they said was a lie and not true. When [Lochte] went on American TV and said his story, it made Brazil look bad when he was the one who had been doing the wrong thing. The video shows a completely different story than what we were told by the athletes. It's very disappointing to all of us. We are reaching out to Ryan to ask him to set the record straight and be completely upfront with what happened, whatever it was. Nothing happened that can't be fixed, but everyone needs to be on the same page, and we all need to know exactly what happened," the source added.

"All four of them need to be completely honest right now. This affects the safety of everyone who is still down here," the source concluded.

Lochte sources, though, tell TMZ the smoking gun gas station video was edited and the hold up was cut out. That source also debunks reports that his teammates confessed.

The pop princess is gearing up to release her album Glory and unleashed a rad new electro-pop track called, "Do You Wanna Come Over?"

The song was written by Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, who wrote tracks for DNCE, Hailee Steinfeld and Selena Gomez.

Previously the mother of two has released "Clumsy," "Private Show" and "Make Me" featuring G-Eazy, which are all on the upcoming LP.

On August 26, Britney will debut via Apple Music two days before her appearance at the show where she'll perform "Make Me."

Yesterday, MTV announced that the diva will perform "Make Me" at the MTV Video Music Awards with G-Eazy on August 28.
