Earlier today, Prince's abrupt death sent shockwaves through the world. In keeping with the tech-obsessed times, many of music and film's biggest names have taken to social media to share their sadness with the world.
Carmen Electra, Madonna, Chaka Khan, Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravtiz and many more wrote heartfelt tributes in the hours following the shocking news that Prince died.
On Thursday morning, the 57-year-old singer was found dead at his estate, Paisley Park, in Minnesota. The week prior he had been battling a bout with the flu, but said that he was on the mend during his last public appearance.
Upon hearing the shocking news, many celebs instantly took to Twitter when they first heard. Here are some of the plethora of celebrity reactions on Twitter:

In addition to Twitter, many big-name celebrities took their love and dismay to Instagram. Many decided to write tributes, as well as post photos honoring his Purpleness.

But celebrities weren't the only ones who were deeply affected by Prince's untimely passing. The late singer's ex wife Mayte Garcia is also in mourning.
Garcia said in a statement to People, "I can't even think of the words of what I'm feeling. This man was my everything, we had a family. I am beyond deeply saddened and devastated."
The two were wed in 1996 in Minneapolis, but later that year the newlyweds met with tragedy when their one-week-old son, Gregory, died. The boy was born with Pfeiffer syndrome, a rare genetic disorder called Pfeiffer syndrome, which affects the skull and bones in the hands and feet.
The two split soon after, and formally divorced in 2000.

The lip lock happened strictly because of a dare, but the E! starlet didn't hesitate to plant a smooch on her platonic pal.
Candis isn't really the Olympian's type anymore, though!
"To be honest with you, I can't see myself dating women in the future. I've been there done that. I've got three very strong ex-wives. I just don't see it. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, along with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, appeared on the season finale of Kocktails with Khloe, and the hostess with the mostest asked her older sister if she wanted more kids with her hubby.
"I said no way. I was so set on my two kids and how happy I was with my life the way that it is, but Kanye has been mentioning it every single day lately for the past 10 days," the E! bombshell admitted. "It would be a really dangerous environment for me if I were to get pregnant again," she added, referring to her health complications during her last pregnancy. North and Saint better not hold their breath for another sibling, because it sounds like it's never going to happen if Kim gets her way!
Another topic of discussion at the round table? Ye's porn habits! "I've never watched porn with the sound on," he confessed. "Well…I lived with my mom in high school then I lived in my mother-in-law's house…there's kids next door and stuff," he explained of his preference for silent smut.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend aren't like most annoying celeb couples that treat photos of their baby like CIA classified files, so they just shared the first image of newborn daughter Luna's face and she's cuter than we even imagined!
The model and the singer welcomed their little girl last Thursday after a long battle with infertility. The Sports Illustrated stunner has been candid about their struggles conceiving, and received a fair amount of backlash over admitting that they chose which embryo to implant during the IVF process.
"For the record, I am always happy and open to speak on infertility. The more casual, the better! I don't mind. What is that difference though? I've already created embryos with a doctor. only after must it be random? We didn't create a little girl. we had multiple embryos. girls and boys. we simply chose to put in a female first (and second)...we didn't 'throw away' anything and still would love to have more of both in the future. hard to explain such a complicated process here," she tweeted back in February.

Despite behind-the-scenes drama with Kelly Ripa, Michael Strahan sang his Live With Kelly and Michael co-host's praises on Good Morning America on Thursday.
The TV personality's appearance comes two days after the surprising announcement that he would be leaving Live With Kelly and Michael for GMA.
On the morning show, the 44-year-old former athlete had nothing but kind words for Ripa, despite her no-show yesterday and today. Strahan told GMA cohosts Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer, "I'm going to miss everybody at Live. I've been sitting next to Kelly every day and having a lot of fun on that show the last four years." He also added, I'm very thankful to her because I've learned so much from her and Michael Gelman."
Clearly hoping to smooth things over with his reportedly angry co-host, Strahan continued, "[They] showed me the ropes. I was so new to all of this and if it weren't for her and if it weren't for Michael Gelman and the staff there that really boosted me up and made me look a lot better than I really am, then I never would have had a chance to be here."
Strahan said, "I'm grateful that I'm here. We're on the same network. I'm just right over here a little bit earlier now. But we are on the same team, the same family, the same network."
On Tuesday, ABC announced that the ex NFL player would be leaving Live to be on GMA full-time; He currently appears on the show two days a week.
Ripa was reportedly unaware of the big move and found out just minutes before the public announcement. Many outlets are reporting that the petite personality is furious and has refused to come back to the show until Strahan leaves. On Wednesday Ana Gasteyer filled in and on Thursday Erin Andrews co-hosted the show. The sports reporter will also be filling in on Friday.

Rob Kardashian fanned the flames of speculation yesterday when he posted a pic of fiancee Blac Chyna and called her "my beautiful wife." Nothing would surprise us with these two, but we have a feeling this is simply a case of Robby getting ahead of himself. Not that they don't move at lightening speed! The controversial couple had only been dating for two months when Kimmy K's little bro popped the question.
The sock designer is clearly coo coo for cocoa puffs over his lady love. Just yesterday, he bought her a $200K purple Lamborghini for absolutely no reason at all, other than to show his affection. Rob's only real source of income, other than from the family reality show he quit, is his sock line, so where is he getting the money to splash out like this?

Music icon Prince has died at the age of 57 at his estate, Paisley Park, in Minnesota, reports TMZ. The outlet first reported that an unknown person had died at the home but it is now confirming that it is in fact the legendary singer who has passed.
According to the Carver County Sheriff's Department in Chanhassen, Minnesota, authorities were called to a medical emergency at the estate 9:43 AM on Thursday morning. Before the confirmation, the sheriff's department said there had been a fatality and they were notifying next of kin.
Early last Friday morning, the seven-time Grammy winner was treated at a hospital after a bout of flu worsened during a flight on his private jet.
The 57-year-old cancelled two shows last week due to feeling ill. Despite being sick, the superstar performed in Atlanta on Thursday night, but his health quickly deteriorated on the flight home, TMZ said. The plane had to make an unscheduled landing to rush the music man to a hospital in Moline, Illinois.
Many thought that Prince was getting better since the legend did make an appearance at a $10 dance party held the next day at his compound. His Purpleness did not sing, but came on stage and assured fans that he was okay, despite being sick. But he had an ominous message to the crowd, saying, "Wait a few days before you waste any prayers."
His reps told TMZ that he was battling the flu. Apparently it was more than that ...

The Weeknd is such a good boyfriend!
Hanging out at trendy hotspot the Nice Guy, Bella Hadid flew solo for a night on the town with ladyfriends on Wednesday night. But that doesn't mean that her boyfriend The Weeknd wasn't on hand to pick up his lady love after her night at da club!
The 26-year-old crooner waited outside of the popular nightclub in his car. Bella had all eyes on her in her denim minidress as she left the spot.
The 19-year-old supermodel drew attention to her rockin' body in her zip up dress which she paired with black boots and striped socks.
Earlier in the night, Bella attended the Jesse Jo Stark show at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood.
Looks like she wanted to come home and have a little bit of mid-week lovin' from The Weeknd!
