Poor Britney. I want her to get help, for the sake of her children. I had PPD, and all it took was 2 months on antidepressants, not very long in the grand scheme of things. I am happy and healthy now, and I hope she can get actual help as well. It isn't hard to not drink for 2 months when the brain is in synch again. I am so fortunate I believed in my families belief in me that I sought help when I did, instead of going off the deep-end and doing things I would regret. I haven't ever really liked her (I am her age) or her music, but I wish her recovery and hope, for her and her CHILDREN.

While I agree with you that paparazzi cross the line w/ celeb's a lot. The celeb's ask for the attention when they get involved in this kind of profession. Personally I'm refraining from commenting on it for three reasons. 1. Her motive for shaving her head. It could be work related - remember Natalie Portman did this just recently, as has Demi Moore in the past to name a few. Secondly, she may be ill, in which case saying "eww-Yuk" etc would extend to all patients experiencing hair loss through chemo etc. A little consideration to those who really are bald - and most importantly, 3. Who the hell do people think they are, having the audacity to write such vicious, nasty, rude, mean comments about another. If you dont like her or her look, fine, you're entitled to your own opinion, but dont ever think you have the privilege to slander someone. Would you make such comments to a stranger you encounter in the street - probably not (jeez, I hope not).

I've lived in an ashram, and I've been with lots of people who shaved their heads for spiritual reasons. But my teacher ALWAYS told me not to as long as my son was young, as it is indeed too disturbing and unsettling for young children. In some cultures women cut their hair when they are in mourning. Some women do it when they want to start over, step away from the past, cleanse themselves, etc. Just because we tend to assiciate baldness with illness in the USA, it hardly means she's crazy.
