For those of you that have never been in rehab, may I say that it is not all fun and games. During your first week in rehab you are usually going through detox, which is anything but pleasant.

You must remember that Britney only arrived at "Promises" after an intervention ~ so besides the detox, she had to deal with the anger and betrayal she was feeling.

Once you've dealt with that, you then have to start working the 12 step program. Step 1 ~admitting your addiction and that your life has become unmanageable ~ is sometimes the hardest. Your days are inundated with counseling; psychotherapy; family therapy and meetings. All of this is just mentally exhausting, so if you're afforded the opportunity to go to an outside N/A or A/A meeting at the end of the day, you jump at the chance.

I'm sure Britney has been given a dual diagnosis ~ defined by the presence of both a mental health disorder & a substance abuse disorder. This means she has to work the program twice as hard!!

Never mind Britney's "Star" status...just human to human, I wish Britney all the best! She has a tough road ahead of her.

Actually, Britney probably is a racist, she just has'nt been caught on tape. I grew up in Lafayette, Church point and Crowley and I can tell you, racism is part of the culture in Louisiana. I recall seeing Britney looking decent (not great), smiling from ear to ear (Prozac), seeming very happy - then 2 weeks later... she's attacking a car with an umbrella. I also do not believe that Britney will EVER be capable of being mentally stable. I don't wish that on her, but I can just see more to come instead of a 'recovery'.

I really hope that people with substance abuse problems are not getting the wrong idea from viewing all of these pictures of Britney at Promises. Lets remember that a young divorced mother would go through hell trying to pay for rehab and finding someone to watch her children. She would also, most likely, lose her job and apartment. Typical rehab is'nt a beautiful facility with private rooms, tennis courts and good food. I was in the exact same situation as Britney and in my opinion, it looks more like she is on vacation.
