This is sad and shoking news. He was a funny guy and had such an energy about him. His easy smile really brightened up the screen. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones in this difficult time.

A great comedic legend dies, and all you do is post some crap pic from a video still, with a few words to boot. He was one of the original "Kings of Comedy." He made the world laugh at his amazing comedic style for years. The least you could do is spend a little more time making a proper post honoring this mans life and untimely death.

No way! I can not beleive this, I was just watching Bernie Mac and I saw that. No way! I love him, no way! He makes me laugh, I cant and will not beleive this!

What a thoughtless comment to make with regard to HIV. Bernie Mac did not have HIV. He suffered from an incurable systemic disease called sarcoidosis which can affect any organ or tissue in the body -- most especially the lungs. He was diagnosed only five years ago; however, most likely he had been affected by this disease since his 20's, which is when it generally manifests itself. His lungs were probably badly scarred from the sarcoid and that would cause him to be very susceptible to pneumonia and very difficult to fight it off. I have sarcoidosis myself and have had it for many years. You rarely hear anything about it because most often it affects AFRICAN AMERICANS. I am sincerely saddened at Bernie Mac's passing, but at least people are finally hearing about this terrible disease. My condolences go out to his family, friends, and fans, and I pray that the positive thing that comes from his death will be more research with regard to sarcoidosis.

I am so sorry to know that Bernie Mac is no longer in this world. Whenever I saw him on television I was guaranteed a laugh. I hope that his family's pain is eased a little by knowing that he was so very well loved
