Beyonce Postpones Concert In Malaysia After Protest Threats!

oh silly rules.
im from malaysia.
our celebrities sometimes dress up way more sexy or daring or 'open' than hollywood stars. but why this issues always come out. hate this.
i can bet the fan that will come to see Beyonce concert will wear shorter dress than her tho.

im a malaysian, and i just want to set it straight that it is a very small minority of us who feel that way about beyonce, mostly the elder conservative people who form political parties based on the pretense of islam.

im a muslim myself and i would like to purport that islam does NOT promote violence or killing, the media has very much disfigured the religion. but this is another discussion altogether.

but anyway on the whole beyonce issue its true that our malaysian artists dress and act worse than most western artists. so why the hypocrisy?

i feel embarrassed for my country. i apologize on behalf of the minority.

From Malaysia and still could not figure out how come we are sooo behind in this sense... Which is why I NEVER ever will purchase tickets for concerts tat will be held here... i rather go over to Singapore for the full show..
Anyways.. those who protest are not only old muslims but young muslim ladies who think that they are very PURE...

Sometimes the Muslim leaders in our country can be quite hypocrites themselves. They'd rather comment on how foreigners dress instead of how their young Muslims dress in our country.

I did not buy her tics because I know this would happen... look at Avril's concert's terms, she wasnt allowed to rock-ingly jump on stage during her concert... hahahaah... kinda stupid if u ask me... and Mariah's and this and that...

Am not surprised why artists opt not to have their concert in our country. They couldnt be bothered pleasing us small tiny weeny country WITH ridiculous demands where they could make even more cash fr other countries that would welcome them with open arms.

I am very disappointed of the postponement of Beyonce’s concert. I have paid extra to fly back early on Sunday, initially my flight returning was on Monday. I bought an extra air-ticket for this concert.

We are at 21st century already. Indonesia is a larger Muslim populated nation than Malaysia and yet they do not have such restriction like us for artists. We are restricting artists’ talent and creativeness in their performance. Furthermore this is a PAID concert (only to people who seriously appreciate such performance) and not a national TV program where anyone can just turn it on. If you have a problem looking at someone shoulder, just don’t buy the ticket and watch it.

In my opinion, athletics also wear lesser clothes and showing some skin. Do we ask them to cover up since it is a either a paid performance or definitely going to be on national TV?
