i agree with the gal who posted above me in the beginning that she is the one taking care of her child 24/7 all year long and it's only natural to want to share your name with the child you are taking care of. legally, the bio father can fight to have his surname on the child, but i would fight that tooth and nail. it's very sexist and we live in a patriarch so it's to be expected men think they have certain natural rights to them. which they don't.

I am not a fan of hers and thinks she is exploiting this whole thing for press, but I think it is awful to call her a bad mother. My fiancee left me two months after I found out I was pregnant. Our daughter has MY last name, and we both agreed this was best. She is the one who will take him to his doctor's appointments, deal with his teachers, etc..... just because a man donated some sperm, doesn't mean the child automatically has his last name! I support her decision to use her last name. Where does it say the child HAS to have the father's name, is it b/c it is Tom Brady's baby, especially since it is a boy! BFD!!!!
