The paps have been like this in Europe for decades. It's only now, with on-line sites like X17, TMZ and Perez, that this kind of aggressive behaviour has made it's way across the pond.

It's only been a week since her family is in the picture, and she already looks much more in control of herself. No screaming, no hysterics, no midnight trips. But we cannot expect her to change her personality in just one week, ie the bra, bathroom stops. Hopefully the combination of medical treatment and her families intervention will stabalize her. Problem is, the court hearing is in a few days. Unless they can prove she is still gravely disabled, I don't know how much longer Jamie will have any say. I doubt Brit can keep this up on her own. Personally, I think things will go back to the way they were.

The only legitimate reason to continue the conservatorship would be if she was still in the hospital. If health care professsionls and the court appointed attorney all think she is fit to handle her own affairs, there is not a damn thing Jamie can do about it. She will kick his ass to the curb in a minute! Just because she is irresponsible, does not give the court system the right to strip her of her civil liberties. In my opinion, they court breached their authority by continuing the conservatorship unitl February 14. And last I checked, taking away Brit's cars and keeping her under house arrest do not fall under the powers of the conservator. Jamie screwed up big time by acting like such a dictator. Brit will never trust him again. Come Thurdsay he will have to relinquish his ability to act as conservator and he and Lynn can kiss thier piggy bank goodbye!

I agree with everyone else here. That conservatorship will end on Thursday. If the court found her sane enough to be discharged fronm the hospital then the conservatorship will go away. What I see Jamie doing is being a PARENT. He may be stepping outside of the conservator role a bit, but he has the right to do that - he's her Dad. (I'm in my 30's, and my Dad STILL lays down the law when I'm outta line. I may resent him at the time, but I know deep down he's the voice of reason.) If he truly is only looking out for "his daughter's best interests", then he would respect the fact that she does not trust him at this point and would step aside and allow the court appointed attorney to handle all issues. However, his actions tell me that his personal fnancial stake in this matter prevents him from acting solely in the best intersts of this daughter. No matter. In a few days he will no longer have the authority to act as conservator. I have seen many cases with individuals much more "gravely disbaled" then Ms. Spears where the family had been unable to step in at all. It truly is sad, because if Jamie had simply let a neutral third party handle the conservatorship, Brit would have been less likley to fight it. No matter what happens, there is no pretty ending to this drama.
