Exactly 7:30 that's why there is no way she can take care of two babies. She can't even take care of herself in the daily cleansing. It can be very emotionally draining to even try - no matter how much you try to reason with them, THEIR reasoning abilities are not there. Absolutely. When you are depressed or have a mnetal illness you cannot rationalize like you and I are doing now. Your thinking pattern is completely off. I'm just speaking from my experience, but I had convinced myself that I could not take care of my son. He was about 4 at the time. When I was in the hospital we had RET classes that helped you rationalize your thought patterns. For example, I had taken care of my child for four years, why not now? It helps you to face your fears and understand them. I was lucky and got help. Later in life, when my son became ill, it was not so simple. He fought us the whole way. He could not see that anything was wrong. We pretty much had to do what Brit's parents are faced with now, but it was voluntary Thank God. Even at that, he still fought us. To make a long story short, after many years, my son has learned to take your meds or you may relapse, tell us if something is going on and you need to change medication etc. This is a life long battle, depending on the outcome and diagnosis. It is a nightmare to one's who have not experienced it, so please don't judge people who are going through this. You have no idea what they and their families are facing. This really should be a lesson to all.

I would think that any doctor who would prescribe serious meds without a proper psych evaluation HAS to be a bit fishy...as goes for Mr. Lutfi, as well.

But then again, at one point my grandmother was on NINE different pills for depression - at the same time! She had about 3 different doctors presribing her pills, but somehow they weren't checking with each other to see what she was already on. One day she'd be perfectly normal, and the next she'd be drooling and almost falling out of her chair. Turns out, she was just over-medicated!

It really makes you stop to think about what the major drug corporations are up to. I hate to sound like Tom Cruise, but maybe some good old-fashioned therapy would help a lot of people rise out of their depression without having to take drugs to help them.

I know depression is much different than Bi-Polar Disorder, but it really does make you stop and think...

I find it difficult reading the deconstruction of any life, regardless of the underlying reasons. Her life is in the best possible hands right now - the court - the conservators - the medical professionals. Maybe she will have one moment of clarity and accept their help. Maybe not.

In the meantime, I hope those sweet little boys are not subjected to this dreadfully unstable situation.

Geez, that is SO scary. Just imagine how much of her behaviour over the past nine or ten months could be attributed to the inappropriate use of meds alone. Then, imagine if all the stops at gas stations and Starbucks washrooms were for a little snort of crushed pills here and there...Add to that the effects of plain old depression and anxiety, and quite possibly a disorder (MY bet is on histrionic or borderline personality disorder, NOT Bi-Polar) and you've got a real complex mess!

Risperdol and seroquel are both anti psychotics and used for schizophrenia and mania in bipolar patients. I've never heard of crushing either one. The sleep induced coma is used for people with severe brain injuries and is extremely dangerous. I have never heard of it being used for mental illness. This sounds very odd to me. Just mho.

After you read Lynne Spears’ full declaration, you can make an educated guess there could be multiple variables: one or more severe mental health disorders, possible drug induced psychosis, possible brain damage - all coming to bear on an incorrigible immature personality. I honestly wish she was an inpatient seeking long term treatment.

I'm not saying she DOESN'T have Bi-Polar Disorder...I'm just saying I'm not buying into the hype that that's for sure what it is.
