Britney Spears' parents have held crisis talks with her ex-husband Kevin Federline over the custody of her two children.

Lynne and James Spears, who are divorced, arranged a meeting with Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan to talk over the visitation agreements for two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James.

Spears was not present at the meeting, but she is believed to be asking for a 50/50 arrangement, while Federline is thought to be calling for full custody or a 70/30 split.

The next court hearing for the ongoing custody battle is scheduled for this Friday.

People are confusing the court appointed monitor with the parenting coach. They are two different people. I agree Dash, the monitor looks pissed in all the pics, but the coach is someone else. She comes to Brit's house and is suppose to spend 8 hours with her and observe her with the kids. The posters over at TMZ are saying that the monitor reported all Brit did was change clothes (no big deal), then they read today about the coach and they say TMZ is changing their story. They are not. They reported on two separate people and incidents. She has pissed both of them off from the looks of things. The parenting coach is the one who wanted to quit because Britney didn't even show up. Now I guess when she did spend time with her, she ignored her. This report can't be good.

However, and first off...Mr. Kaplan has too much to lose by disobeying the Courts order and is NOT leaking information.
Now, to her DRUG USE. You are correct she is NOT TESTING POSITIVE, however, as Mr. Kaplan has pointed out to the Court, Ms. Spears (there is a DIRECT family history) suffers from a psychological condition, that left untreated causes one to act out without fore-thought or self-control. Her past drug use, alcohol abuse and current irrational behaivor are something psysiological that she can not control without the proper medication and therepy. These are facts introduced in court and undisputed.
Yes, it appears Ms. Spears Council could do a better job of representing her to the public, however, this is now her 3rd attorney in this manner, and they are fighting tooth and nail with the Court. Unfortunately, Ms. Spears appears unwilling or unable to follow advice of anyone; the Court, her Attorneys, parenting coaches or anyone else who has attempted to assist.
The Court has not placed a gag order on the parties involved in this case. However, the documents are sealed, at this point in time.
It is unfortunate that this case has gotton to this point, and unfortunately it will get much worse on Friday, however, it is Ms. Spears who is in control of the future. The Court must respond to Ms. Spears lack of compliance. It is truelly sad. The children will continue to suffer.
