Here's the story from t.m.z.
The high-powered firm of Trope and Trope filed legal papers today asking to withdraw as Brit's hired guns in her custody dispute with K-Daddy.

In the legal papers, attorney Tara Scott from Trope and Trope wrote, "There has been a breakdown in communications between [Britney] and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible." Ding dang wha?!

No word on whether Brit has a new lawyer.

You may recall, disso-queen Laura Wasser quit Brit last year as well. Representing a popwreck can be a bitch!

UPDATE: Sources tell TMZ the reason Trope and Trope withdrew is because Britney just didn't listen to her lawyers' advice, and her behavior was generally sinking her case.

I am actually hopeful this will SPEED UP the proceedings. One of Kevin's friends was saying that if she missed this depo (unless she had a SERIOUS excuse, like car accident, etc) that the commish would completely stop giving her one chance after another. The boys WILL know one day about the millions of people who prayed for their well being. TMZ has learned Britney Spears' deposition was scheduled today and she didn't show -- again!

If we're counting correctly, this is the fifth time her scheduled deposition in the custody case didn't happen. Last month, Britney claimed she was too ill to sit for her depo, yet TMZ caught her out partying that same night.

Sources say the fact that she didn't show for the depo was a factor in her lawyers' decision to file papers today asking to withdraw as counsel, but it was only one of many reasons. As one connected source put it, "Her whole life has become insane and it's impossible for anyone to get through to her."

I for one love EA's posts. I believe them to be genuine not only with the facts, but with heartfelt sincerity as well. Kevin is lucky to have a supportive friend in her and most of us are thankful for the updates on the boys. She does not need to prove anything to anybody. I have no desire to further watch this spectacle, there is nothing to it when the main player doesn't care about anything other than indulgences. She can't even show up for a deposition. I have been reading the posts tonight and I have to add, I don't know who EA is, I haven't been coming to this site for very long, so I'll just go with the assumption that she does in fact know Kevin. Its nice that she is being supportive to her friend. However, in my opinion, and it is just that, MY opinion, I wouldn't bother letting him know what people online are saying. Here's why: First of all, it appears to me that Kevin has done some growing and maturing over the course of the last year. Whether this is due to his attorney's suggestions, his parenting classes, or any therapy he is receiving, I don't know. Or perhaps, it is due to the natural maturation process. Whatever it is, I hope that it is really happening and not a facade. Which brings me to why I wouldn't bother bringing him outside opinions. The only opinions that should matter to Kevin are his own, his childrens', his family's, his attorney's, and his friends. Even his friends' opinions are on the outside edge of importance. Although the public feels like it should have a voice in these matters, in reality, none of us do or should. And for every positive that is brought to Kevin, in the back of his mind, he knows that there are others that have been filtered out. I know most will disagree with me, I am just stating MY opinion.

I think Kevin Federline's lawyer has dropped the ball if he does not immediately seek an end to this case by petitioning the court for a default judgment ruling. Depositions are not only a legally mandated discovery process in civil court cases, Britney's deposition is also her defense declaration under oath. At this point the ball is in Britney's court but she forfeits the game if she refuses to serve. If she refuses to defend her case she can lose her case by default.

Britney Spears's latest lawyer, Sorrell Trope, filed a request Wednesday to withdraw from the singer's custody case, court documents show.

"There has been a breakdown in communications between (Spears) and Trope & Trope (law firm) making further representation of her interests impossible," says the document.

Trope gave no further details. But he told PEOPLE the ultimate decision to quit isn't up to him.

"A lawyer cannot simply withdraw from a case," he says. "We will ask the court to relieve us." A hearing is set for Feb. 4.

That will be followed by a hearing for Spears and Kevin Federline in the custody case on Feb. 19.

Trope was Spears's third lawyer in her ongoing battle with her ex-husband.

Her first attorney, Laura Wasser, resigned from her case in September shortly after Spears's divorce from Federline was finalized.

Spears then hired the firm Freid & Goldsman, but their relationship ended within days.

Trope faced an uphill legal battle in the Spears case. Shortly after his firm took over, the singer temporarily lost custody of her sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1.

While she did regain her visitation rights, Trope's tenure has been fraught with setbacks, including Spears missing numerous drug-testing calls, her skipping of a deposition due to an alleged illness, and her questionable driving skills.

You are so right about those boys not coming back here to read about their mother, or anywhere else for that matter. In reality, they will end up handling this the way that most other children of mentally ill parents do, especially if they have one stable and loving parent. They will look back most likely with sadness and acceptance that this is who their mother is due to the illness she has. (Supposedly it runs in the family, parental grandmother also had mental health issues), so those boys will need to be watched and hopefully intervention will come early if there are any signs/symptoms for them. Its a sad thing, but not uncommon. The only real difference is that this is playing out in such a public forum.

I am a Kevin supporter and I do disagree, but I do read your posts and realize you are a smart person. I do respect your opinion.
I think the support has helped Kevin. I think for the first time he realizes that people respect him for being a dad. He had a rough time career wise, and I think it's made him grow as a person to see that being a dad is one thing he is really good at. I do believe he loves those kids and they are first in his life. I have done a lot of research on Kevin and I think he is misjudged. I have read articles and quotes from way back, and his values are pretty clear. I admit he has made mistakes. He was young and did foolish things, but we all have. It seems to me he has grown from those mistakes and learned. Sadly, Britney has not. BTW I also have been here awhile and EA is real. I get what you are saying, and having never been in that position, I can't speak from experience. But Kevin doesn't seem to be as hated now as he was when he was married to Britney. I think a lot of people have started to see him as the grown up in that relationship. If he was able to withstand what he had to put up with back then, at this point, I would imagine those people's opinions wouldn't make a rat's ass bit of difference, even if those opinions are now positive. But again, thats just me. I truly wish him and those boys nothing but the best. My husband met SP when he was about 5 months old and provided some security for Britney/SP when Britney felt that she was being harassed by the paps. He said SP was adorable. (Our own son is just 2 months younger). He didn't have nice things to say about her though, and this was back before the shit hit the fan so to speak.

The ugly bitch was driving around with Carla today obviously extremely busy, WAY too busy to sit for a deposition. You can see the video at hollywood.tv but it's nothing but the usual crappy footage of the brainless skank driving around covering her mouth (meth zits). Musta been a wild weekend with Adnan. Whore.

I doubt the kids will come back here to read in future years. This site probably won't even exist. But of course they will be interested in what their mom was like and why don't live with her and will read stuff on the internet. Also, kids in their schools will read this stuff and probably taunt them with it, because kids can be pretty cruel.

That's why it's good that they are with a stable parent who is more concerned with giving them meals and naps on a regular schedule than photo ops. As cute as the kids are, it was kind of painful to watch them hauled around to stores and gas stations in the back of their mom's car day after day. They always looked so scared and confused.

It would great if Kaplan files for a default judgment so Kevin and the boys could get on with their life together. Britney is an unfortunate tragedy in the works.

I think I can learn how to stand it.Yes, Sooner or later you figured that I am not a great writer, it doesn't mean that my language is not English. My offical language is English, but I have a little weakness with the form of word order of the English Language- the grammer features. It doesn't mean I cannot learn how to write good sentences. I like to learn. Reading the books helps me to keep in touch with how I shall to write (synatx, grammar, nd etc) and sometimes ask my family or friends to read loud to tell me how it sounds to be.. The reasons of all above is because I am a deaf person. I was born deaf at birth after being exposed with Rubella measles wehile my mother was pregnant with me. For me lives in the society blend with hearing world, every where I goes, hearing people sometimes question me of my abilities..

The only comments I save & print for Kevin are the ones that are JUST well-wishes and prayers...nothing that says ANYTHING about Britney, custody, drugs, money, etc. Just the "Praying for you & your boys, Kevin" and the like. I don't do it so he'll know "what people are saying"...I do it because he gets SO MUCH negative press and negative attention...he has to change his email all the time because somehow "fans" get ahold of it and even though Britney has never badmouthed Kevin, her loyal minions feel like THEY have the right to call him horrible names and say awful things to him-- you know someone recently SPIT at him while he was at the freakin' GROCERY store??? I just think it's important for him to know that people DO support him and think about him in a positive manner, and THAT is why I pass on the positive comments.

He is immersing himself in fatherhood right now...it's disney movies, play doh spaghetti, sliding down the playscape slide eighty nine times in a row, etc etc etc...sometimes the only "grown up" conversation he has all day will be the days the cook is there (he gets "healthy" dinners made 3x a week while he is learning how to be a better cook) discussing what they'll eat for dinner. EA that post almost made me cry! That has got to be the sweetest thing I have read. SP is so darn cute. I truely feel for those boys. Kevin is doing a great job. If I may ask, what makes you think that the posts have helped Kevin? Some of those quotes that you posted were obviously from when he was still married to Britney, so they aren't recent quotes (meaning that those are long held beliefs for him). Therefore, it does not necessarily support your theory that the positive posts have helped him. Now, please don't get me wrong, I am not trying to argue with you, I am just trying to understand where you are coming from. Like I stated in my previous post, I too, think that Kevin has grown in the past year. He obviously has the children's (all four children) best interest at heart, and for that he deserves kudos. But should it matter to him if he gets those kudos from us (the public) or not?

That's the exact reason I posted the older quotes. I have newer ones, but to me, it shows that he doesn't just suddenly have all these feelings for his kids because of the situation. They have been there a long while. You can see that he has morals, dreams and beliefs about his kids. I don't think support can ever be a bad thing. in fact, I think he deserves it. After all the bad things that mostly Britney fans say about him, I think he would feel comforted to know that he has supporters. Like EA said, they have been as brutal to him as the haters of Britney. Who wouldn't want to hear something positive? He is a public figure, I think some positive feedback from the public would be a good thing.

I think its wonderful that you are so supportive of your friend. I think that what Kevin and the children (all four kids, cause lets not forget that Shar's kids are also effected by all of this)have had to endur has been publically humiliating and hurtful. None of us would want to have a break up publically exposed and a custody battle so over-exposed by the media.
And I apologize if I implied that you were telling Kevin what people thought, because that was not my intention. Perhaps my point was lost in print. So let me try to explain it a different way. I believe that with all that Kevin has had to withstand, although the kind thoughts and prayers are nice, his inner strength is probably such; that the need to hear about them is not so great. And I would wonder if when he hears about the well wishers if in the back of his head he wasn't also thinking of all those people who are not so positive about him. Just playing devil's advocate here. Again, I think its great that you and Kevin have such a great bond and you are so supportive of each other. This is not an easy situation to be in without the glare of the media.

Julie(G), just an aside...I have been reading your posts since you got here and I would never, ever have guessed you had any issues with speaking, reading, or writing english. Your missives are always incredibly eloquent and you are always VERY well-spoken.

One of my deaf family members (he, his wife, and two adopted daughters are all deaf from birth) gets frustrated because he says that the vernacular of English as a spoken and written word (insofar as it related to politics, pop culture, etc) changes over the years and nobody thinks to tell him! He has this great binder of articles...he keeps articles on, like, six or seven different topics- one is President Clinton, one is global warming...I forget the rest. But anyway, he has articles from early in the nineties all the way up to the last few days. That way he can determine how and if the "vernacular" is changing and if he should adapt his written word to it.

Once in 2000 or so, he sent me an email asking me when the &^%$ people started using the phrase "be that as it may" all the time, LOL

Anyway...good work!

My husband never worked for Britney, he provided security/ran interference for her. I am sure you can probably deduct what his job is...and thank you, we have two boys very close in age to Kevin's two youngest. I have to say, I laughed out loud when EA was describing Kevin not having an adult conversation, cause I was thinking of my own situation. And thats even after my husband gets home from work (I'm just kidding, relax people). Its not easy being a stay at home parent and I can't imagine what it would be like with all the media scrutiny.

As I said earlier, I also do this because I want the boys to have a record of something POSITIVE from this time...although I don't believe they will "seek out" the negative comments on places like this, I do believe that at SOME point in childhood or young adulthood (whether it's from bullies bringing internet printouts to school or just the curiosity they feel and looking for it themselves) Sean P and JJ will be exposed to at least a portion of the horrible things that are out there right now.

I just want them to know it wasn't ALL bad, you know? I worry so much about their feelings toward their mother as they age...no human heart is MEANT for abandonment. Think about this kids who are adopted and after meeting birth parents, resent them a little because they feel like maybe the parent didn't "try" hard enough to keep them. I personally have known a couple of people like this.

When Sean P & JJ see that Britney had literally EVERY available financial and emotional resource PLUS a judge telling her she "had" to be a good mom...and she STILL was just AWFUL...well, I worry. And I know the positive thoughts and comments might not mean a thing to them, being that they're from strangers. But I fear they'll need every ounce of support and goodwill available to them, so I am hoping Kevin saves them for posterity anyway. (He says that he is going to; he said they're with some of the nicer letters that the boys have gotten with cards and gifts over the last months)

But anyway...your point WAS well-received and I probably WILL think hard about it before continuing to pass messages along to Kevin. He SAYS he enjoys knowing that not EVERYONE thinks he's boozing it up, blowing pot smoke in the kids' faces. BUT he might also be humoring me because he knows a lot of effort goes into culling the good comments and archiving them in an attractive format. (I jut use a holepunch and put them in nice scrapbooks)

I think that Kevin is doing a GREAT job with those boys. It is nice to see that they aren't being pimped out anymore to the media. I can also assume that Britney must be missing some of her parenting days because I haven't seen the boys pics at all lately. (new ones).
I will say that I have always found comfort in the posts that EA leaves on here. I truly believe that she DOES know who Kevin is and it is good to hear how those boys and Kevin is doing through all this mess that brit has created.
I have to say that I hope Kevin being photographed with Paris is just a photo because that is not much of an improvement from Britney. I know that the media portrays Kevin to be the "bad guy" most of the time, but I think he has matured a lot in the past year. I cannot stand that people say he is only in this for her money. I think that he should have asked for alot more money a long time ago. He doesn't even get what the law says he is entitled to for child support. It's pretty sad that she spends more money on her hotel trips than she does to support her children.

I saw footage of Britney a few weeks ago. (The one where she was screaming in the bathroom for studio time) She was faltering a bit on her feet that night. I assumed that she was covering her mouth in that footage because she didn't want the paps to smell alcohol on her breath. As far as I can tell, she hasn't had anymore lip jobs, but there is definitely a reason that she is covering her mouth.

Y'all, I don't think she's covering her mouth...I watched that same footage SD, and saw the footage from a day last week...and if you look, she's ALSO making sure her nostrils are covered.

It made me want to go back and look at some of her "covered mouth" pics...and she has the bottom of her nose covered in all of them. I think THAT is what she's "covering up". In the pics from last week, that time she stopped at four bathrooms in less than one hour, she had her "mouth" covered in all of them...and in one, she was even using her OTHER hand to "pinch" her nostrils shut.

2 plus 2 equals a big white powdery FOUR, in my humble opinion. Especially bearing her recent weight loss and bad skin in mind.

I honestly believe that the boys will grow up to see Britney for what she is, mentally ill. I have my own suspicions as to what her diagnosis is/will be. I believe that they will go through the stages of grief, just as they would for any loss. They will feel the anger and the sadness. But in the end, I believe that Kevin is providing them with a strong enough support system that they will reach a state of acceptance. In fact, I would not be surprised to find one of them championing mental health as a cause. Unfortunately, I believe this runs in the family. (I think I read somewhere that Britney's grandmother commited suicide). You can't worry about what *might* be in the future, you are just wasting needless energy. Kids are very resiliant. We as adults, under-estimate what kids can handle and how well. So just have faith in the boys and in Kevin's parenting skills.

I don't doubt for a second that it is residue or alcohol that she is hiding. This is a girl that thrives on her face being in the media. It is a shame shame shame what she has done to her life. I hope that Kevin gets full permanent custody of those children. I fully believe that every child needs both parents, but at this point. Those kids being around her is only doing them more harm.

Thank you EA. I always enjoy your posts. It is not easy to explain to the others when they are not in my shoes. It helps when you have some one who is deaf in your family like me. I am the only deaf person in the whole hearing family. I am a deaf mother of two hearing boys. I keep remind my boys not to judge people by who they are or what they cannot, just lend the hope to see what they can do, if they ever try to do. My boys just love having me more at their school,and just did the room mom thing last year for them. I am the only deaf parent in their school. The more I do for my boys. They forget more about my deafness and enjoy more and more to have me around as their mother and best friend. It is getting late for me to stay up-it is time for their mother to her bed time. If you go up to tools and then to internet options, you can just hit the button that says delete cookies. You should also occasionally clear your browser history and delete files on that same page.

ex - i keep the 'microsoft' cookie...

but i here you, i once got tired of my slow pc & i had SO VERY MANY that i deleted them all to start over this way i could keep track anew!

when you are SELCTING ALL, you are probably also inadvertanly selecting a DAT FILE...

alphabatize your cookies & highlight up the dat file... then DELETE.

when that's done, selct the files AFTER the dat fil & on... then DELETE.

when you are satisfied, go to your recycle bin & delete the cookies from there too...

Well, she is screwing a pap so I don't think she hates them that much or is trying to outrun them. She goes looking for them and then looking for her MARRIED crush who was on 20/20 last night. Am I reading this right? She had a depo and this time she didn't even try to give an excuse. Elsewhere they have video of her driving around with 'assistant' when she was suppose to have been giving her depo. Also, when they were seen at 2 AM at their latest 'love shack' there were 2 other men, they called the 'bodyguards'. Yeeeah. riiiight. I "photoshopped" the pics of me with Kevin. DAMN, I'm so GOOD, I should be BRITNEY's retouch artist! Even though my hair looks like crap and my eyes are halfway closed...no, I did that on PURPOSE! Hell, you MORON. People know that pic is REAL because OK! used the SAME pic only they cropped me out of it. You can clearly see my sleeve and part of my hair, though-- so when I posted the full, uncropped photo, people knew it was not touched up or photoshopped in any way. The ONLY thing I did was cut off the bottom so you couldn't see the kids' toys and things.

Idiot...I guess I also "photoshopped" the video of Kevin saying "EA is like my sister, my homegirl", right? Oh, wait...that was just COINCIDENCE...yeah, he was talking about some OTHER "EA"....yeah, that must be it.
