Britney's not alone in the hospital. She is surrounded by much better company than she usually keeps, I'm sure. She has access to educated, hopefully intelligent doctors, nurses, and other staff. They are going to treat her with warm, friendly, concerned care.

Besides her other problems, it appears that Britney has not handled post-divorce life well (yeah, an understatement, I know.) I mean, though, that she has felt the need to have some constant companionship, preferably male, and that's how worms like Lutfi get into her life. Lately he was always there, wherever she went, whatever she did, and as far as I know, he was not her boyfriend.

She should not be so trusting to let someone like this handle her medicine. A little paranoia would be a good thing for her from time to time.

Hey as I read this new statement that Lynne claims that Sam did and said, I don't know if I disagree with what Sam was saying. He was giving her tough love. The meds were prescribed by the doc that is treating her at the hospital. Sam is the one that got her into treatment with this doc. The pills are prescribed medication for her condition.. He was making sure she took them, that is how I see it. What he told her was harsh but true. That is what tough love is about..

In fact, we've made it increasingly difficult for doctors to do that because of the way insurance companies reimburse physicians. Diabetes care is a perfect example. Many insurance companies won't pay for a diabetic to see a nutritionist to learn how to eat properly or a podiatrist to get their feet checked, but if you wind up having to have your foot amputated from complications due to diabetes, the insurance company will pay for that. And if you ask why, the insurance company will tell you, they don't want to pay for preventive health care because the patient might switch to a different company and they will lose the benefit of the investment in prevention.
