I work in the mental health field.
I can tell you that yes someone must sit with her however, it will be a medical professional and not family.
If she is diagnosed with a condition, she will NOT be discharged without being stabilized, that may mean a long term stay for her.
I don't like her, however, I do feel for her and wish her the best luck in getting well.
This is a hard road ahead of her and all this media attention is not going to be goos for her as she recovers.

The ONLY reason Kaplan had to show up there last night was because when Britney locked the court monitor out of the house she did not have the proper paperwork to show the cops that the kids had to be returned to Kevin. Kaplan was called to get there with the paperwork. After the cops had a chance to review the order they determined the kids were to be handed over to Kevin. X17 (and any other Brit enablers left) need to stop the mud throwing in regards to Kaplan & Kevin ~ they are not the ones with mental issues.

- I watched someone very close to me suffer from mental illness. Its very scary, to admit a family member into a psych hospital.
I knew from the get go that she(brit) had to have bipolar or some other mental condition. I imagine all the ADD drugs and other perscription cocktails, she was taking daily did not help her condition.
Her parents should have stepped in and committed her months ago. I think the more crap gets unraveled in this story , the more the enablers and hanger-ons will come out looking worse than Britney. she is sick, yes but people around her who didn't seek help for her like Alli lynn and lUftnuti are f-up too. We only see what happens in front of the paps ...imagine how bad her antics were behind closed doors???
Now she will get help, hopefully be stabilized with medication. there is no shame in having memtal illness as long as you seek proper help you can live a normal life. Although, I have never heard a bipolar medication being delivered to a person on the hour. I have to say this girl has some sick mental condition that fact that she smiles in the ambulance is proof enough for me. people with bipolar are highly sexual and seek attention. they change their cloths freaquently , because they don't feel comfortable in their own skin. They push people in their lfe away and want to control aspects of their life they can't handle themselves. I bet she will be diagnosed with some illness .

I don't think she has ever been diagnosed Bipolar like X17 claims. If she was in treatment, this most likely wouldn't have happened. My son is bipolar and he does very well unless he stops taking his lithium for an extended amount of time. He usually winds up back in the hospital for a few weeks. He is home today on a 3 day pass and will go back Sunday to continue treatment. People do act weird, become violent, talk to themself, See and hear things, etc. To me a proper diagnosis of bipolar can only be made in a hospital over a couple of weeks. You need to be fully evaluated and that means watching them closely. It took us almost 15 years to finally get a correct diagnosis. Mental illness is a disease, just like cancer or diabetes, and it is very misunderstood by society. With a good doctor and proper drugs, you can be fine. BTW someone mentioned Patty Duke. Her book is like a bible to anyone who has this. She is doing very well now, but it took a very long time to get to her real problem.

I think people often judge to harshly people with mental conditions and although I don't think Britney has been diagnosed with the disease as of yet. I have a sister with the illness nand see many simular patterns in Britney's life mirroring my sisters episodes. You can be sure that if K-Fed's lawyer was at Britney's house it could only have been to deliver to the police a copy of the court custody order. But delivering to the police the documented court ordered custody is not something that would be necessary since the police have computer access to the Clerk of Court records that are not under seal, and the court custody order is not a portion of the records sealed. But even if the police did request a copy of the document from K-Fed via his lawyer, it is something that Mark Vincent Kaplan could have delivered to the police department by fax in a matter of minutes.

I don't think Kaplan is stupid enough to initiate direct contact with Britney by coming to her house for any other reason. Attorney ethics rules prohibited him from communicating with a client represented by an opposing attorney and doing so would land him in front of the State Bar Association's Disciplinary Board and put his law license at risk of suspension.
