After not showing up yesterday and triggering a motion from her lawyers to withdraw as counsel on grounds she's impossible, Britney just arrived at the law offices of Mark Vincent Kaplan, K-Daddy's lawyer. We're told the lawyers who want out from the law firm of Trope and Trope are also present.

Will Brit actually sit for the entire depo or walk out? We'll be there with live streaming video in case she bolts.

So where was she all morning? The troubled singer left her home in Beverly Hills around 10:15 a.m., only to turn her car around and head back into her gated community. At first, her wingman Sam Lutfi, who was in the car's passenger seat, told members of the paparazzi that Britney would indeed show. And then OK! heard that Britney had sent her limo driver and Sam away, and that she would NOT be at the deposition!

And then, just after 11am, Brit was spotted driving herself in her white Mercedes in the direction of Century City, where Kaplan's office is located.

"She's probably going to go and just sit there," one insider tells OK!. "That way she'll have fufilled her requirement and won't lose the kids."

OK! had been told by a case insider that Brit had until 10:30 a.m. PT before Kaplan was to take his offer off the table and go straight to the courthouse to ask the judge to dismiss Britney's custody claim and give Kevin permanent custody. After numerous failures to show up, Britney Spears arrived for her deposition in her custody case at the office of Kevin Federline's attorney in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Spears is expected to be grilled about her past drug and alcohol use, her apparent failure to follow court orders and anything pertaining to her parenting skills.

"A deposition can be emotionally draining, because Kevin's lawyer can ask very personal questions about her relationship with her kids – and she'll be under oath," says L.A. family lawyer Lynn Soodik, who's not involved with the case.

Just a day prior, Spears's legal team filed a request with a court to be removed from the singer's custody case, citing a "breakdown in communications" with Spears. A hearing for that matter is set for Feb. 4. Until then, the firm of Trope & Trope still represents her.

Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has already completed a number of depositions with Spears associates including her longtime friend, Alli Sims, former manager Larry Rudolph, and former bodyguard Daimon Shippen.

Kaplan will use evidence gathered from the depositions to try to persuade the court that Federline should be granted primary physical custody of their kids, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, in any final ruling.
