An interesting sidebar to all this: Apparently Spears' penchant for constantly using the ''F-word,'' ''C-word'' and ''B-word'' is making an impression -- so to speak -- on her oldest son, Sean Preston, 2.

''Though Britney keeps telling Sean to stop, whenever she hears him swearing, it's clear she thinks it's cute and kind of funny,'' reports the Spears insider.

SPEARS AND FEDERLINE BOTH UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR CHILD ABUSE?

Troubled pop star BRITNEY SPEARS and her ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE are both under investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS), according to reports.
The former couple are due back in court on Monday (26Nov07) to continue child custody negotiations, and according to website TMZ.com, the DCFS will appeal to Commissioner Scott Gordon to open the files regarding the care of their young boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
The department's concerns are said to be "frivolous", but the DCFS have a legal obligation to investigate any such claims.
This is not the first time Spears has been investigated for child abuse by the DCFS - her former bodyguard Tony Barretto made an official complaint against the star in October (07), just one month (Sep07) after she was cleared of similar allegations from an anonymous tip-off.

There is no way the courts are going to give Britney her babies back. She is very dangerous to them and could end up harming them very badly with all the really selfish and crazy stunts she pulls. It is also very obvious that she has no real interest in being a mother. It is more important to her to flash her crotch over and over so she can embarass her babies when they are older. She is far more insterested in doing drugs and alcohol (she has missed 8 of her 16 tests, and failed the last one about a week ago). I just lost custody of my children. The judged deemed that I spent more time reading and posting on britney spears than I did looking after my two kids. Britney is so much more happy now that she has her ex taking care of them. It's really too much for her to handle. Two boys that age, so young are a hand full. You have to want to dedicate all of yourself for a very long time and Britney can't do that. She's just not able to give that much of herself.

Kevin spends almost ALL of his time with the boys and his other children! He knocked down a wall in his house to make them a MASSIVE playroom which has large sylights with frosted glass so the boys can play in the sunlight WITHOUT being terrified of the thousand paps assembled- LIKE WHEN BRITNEY HAS THEM.

Furthermore, this room is stocked with backyard-type playscapes and Kevin put his own video game system in there...he and the boys play for several hours a day while at home and he goes out only a few times a MONTH. If you say otherwise, you know everyone knows you're lying to make him look bad....X17 is so up the poor man's a$$ that EVERYWHERE he goes, they are there- and EVERYONE who goes INTO his home is photographed.

X-17 doesn't report on the pediatrician that comes every few weeks to look over the boys (made necessary by things like the large knot Jayden was sporting on his forehead...AFTER COMING BACK FROM VISITATION WITH MOMMY DEAREST Britney. They also don't report about the speech therapist and cognitive behavior therapist he brings in twice a month because the boys' speech and motor skills were SO GROSSLY BEHIND SCHEDULE when custody was taken from Britney.

BOTTOM LINE...you almost never see Kevin out snd when you do, a competent, caring nanny that the boys love takes care of them. Kevin cooks their dinner most nights AND eats with them-- Britney only "cooks" meals for her boys by telling which damn happy meal toy she wants for them.
Kevin gets the boys all of the things Britney doesn't- a stable, private home where he does NOT constantly violate those childen for MONEY like Britney does by inviting X-17 for their frequent "XCLUSIVE" photos. He provides them the therapy they need to RECOVER from the time they were raised by Britney. (And by "raised", I mean "left in a playpen") He PAYS EXTRA for the therapy to be done IN HIS HOME because Britney has made the boys so afraid of paps. THAT is why he has "no income" AFTER EXPENSES-- Kevin made a healthy six figures this year doing commercials, TV, and promo for Boost mobile. He CHOOSES NOT TO play to the public's sympathies by charting his every move as a parent- like SOME "our girls" we know.He does this to protect his boys' privacy and home life. X-17 is stupid and vindictive enough to "wonder" about the "women coming in and out" of the home when they're talking about the damn SPEECH THERAPIST but of course according to X-17, the speech therapist is one of Kevin's many concubines and the pediatrician (wearing suit, tie, and stethoscope) is his "pot connection".

X-17 and the occasional blatant LIAR like 1:50 here have done all possible to try and make Kevin look bad including ridiculous, outrageous lies. 2:19 -- I "know" Kevin as in I've met him before and I've met Sean also, but not Jayden. I do correspond with someone in Kevin's family regularly (not in regards to all this; it's just someone I know from my middle school years and we stayed in touch and in visiting them, I got to meet Kevin, Kevin's mom, the nanny, -who is AWESOME personified, by the way- and some other nice folks that Kevin knows and/or is related to)

Kevin was *exceedingly* polite when I met him each time...I don't know what I expected (kind of a vanilla ice type, I hate to admit) but he is well-spoken and educated about current events, thoughtful, and probably one of the best hands-on parents I have seen in my life. The man wraps a mean diaper, I will say that. (For the most part, I have tried not to say things that aren't accessible to everyone because I don't want to violate privacy issues but some of these outrageous lies about him just make me SO angry)

Even though I do not want Kevin to "sell" the kids like Britney so routinely does, I really do wish people could see not just photos, but video of him interacting with the boys. I think if everyone here could see him singing the Dixie Chick song "Lullabye" to one of his boys while tenderly holding him, head on shoulder...I could have cried it was so precious. When he holds the boys, they tend to curl one arm around his neck and it's so damn cute. He also does a thing where he says "SeanP...Kiss me"...and Sean plants a big wet one on him. It's so freakin' cute.

After all this custody sh!tstorm started, I even considered going to a magazine to give a firsthand report of the times I'D witnessed Kevin with the kids. (I have SEEN both kids, just not MET JJ as he was asleep once and totally grouchy and NOT open to meeting someone new the next) I did send a letter to his lawyer stating that I'd certainly be willing to provide accounts of parenting skills that *I* consider above and beyond (I have early childhood education training, CPR certs, and some other stuff that would probably lend creedence to the fact that I know what makes a good parent) even though I'd rather eat one of Britney's boots than get involved in this whole mess...but thankfully I was told that there are "plenty" of people who have spent far more time with him and the kids who can testify to his stellar parenting. Since Kevin obviously is winning the court battle, I saw no need to publicly court any type of magazine to publish what I thought or anything like that. Although I will certainly speak up to defend a good parent, I would never want to be one of "those people" who goes to a magazine just because I happened to know someone. And if I ever did find it necessary, I would never, ever take any money for it. (I know some of both Britney and Kevin's acquaintances have tried to make a big and quick buck off selling "personal accounts" to tabloids and I think that is just hideous)

It makes me so angry when people come on here and not only bash Kevin, but blindly defend Britney despite ALL the evidence against her. I'm sure I feel that I have some personal stake in this, having indulged in the smell of Sean's newly-cleaned hair and played "patty cake" with him...so when I see the "fans" who say "Give the kids back!!!" simply because "she's Britney" and at ONE time she had a very well-concocted image and "sound"...it's disgusting. Thanks 2:28 and 2:33...BTW 2:33, although both boys were way behind initially, they both have taken to the therapy like ducks to water and Sean's vocab and Jayden's motor skills are both in the curve now, which as I understood it means they are both now "on the chart" for their respective ages. (Yeah!) You know when someone says their kid is in the "77th percentile" for this or that...I think that's what it means by "on the charts"- they both are within a specified range for their ages.

At this age "therapy" is really just reading and things like "sensory play" which was basically Sean playing with a bunch of different textured toys in a pan of water...

2:16...the kids were so grossly underdeveloped when he got custody from Britney after she went to rehab. Jayden wasn't sitting on his own, etc. A bunch of problems. Sean was on the bottle way too long which has caused a hellish situation for his teeth since it was usually juice or mountain dew in the bottles and not water or formula.

It WHEN Kevin got 50/50 custody that the kids STARTED to get better. But still, they needed to "recover" from being with Britney when the 50/50 was going on...and you don't have to rely on ME for that- it was widely reported by MANY people who are present in the kids' lives, even BRITNEY's own family.

Now that Kevin has had the lion's share of custody for a few months, the boys are totally on target developmentally.

Incidentally, this is something funny for those who really do loo out for the kids and WANT them to be safe...you will get a kick out of this. (And since I felt so bad about my earlier faux pas, this time I made a quick phone call and got permission to tell this BEFORE I posted it)

Kevin was told (I don't know by whom) that since the boys' verbal skills were a little delayed, he should try and teach them "Baby Signs". So he got the book from Amazon and the first sign he tried to teach Sean was the sign for "Can I have some more, please?". It's supposed to be used when the baby/child wants more of a food or drink item or even stories or snuggles. Basically just "more" of whatever they might want, since nonverbal kids sometimes get SO frustrated when trying to communicate their needs.

So anyway, Sean picked up the sign for "more" really quickly. He would put his forefinger and thumb together quickly and kind of "smack" them together. So he even picked up that the "more" sign was for "more" food, like, RIGHT away.

The only problem was, Kevin said the word "more" so many times while teaching him the sign, that pretty soon he was screeching "MOOOOORE!" for pretty much everything! He wanted "more" goldfish crackers and the therapist (who is only there a couple times a month and so hadn't witnessed his new verbal prowess) patiently said "Espy," (I don't know why some people call him that) "show me the SIGN for moooooore. Can you show me the sign for MOOOORE?" and he he got about one millimeter from her face and yelled "MORE!" so loud she almost jumped out of her shoes.

It was one of those moments when you know instantly why God made kids so damn cute, LOL.

Your stories lack internal consistency. At one point you said you've met only Sean not Jayden but then later you launch into a warm, fuzzy story about seeing the boys (plural) with their dad. That's just one example. Your posts also sound like, read like the writing of someone in her forties or older, which is cool, but since you seem to be posing as someone around Spears/Federline's ages, that's a little incongruent.

Um, why is it so difficult for people to have correct spelling and grammar? I am not even thirty years old and I take pride in the way that I speak and write. It's called an education.....

While the monitor has already provided both attorneys a copy of her report, this will be the first time it is presented to the court commissioner.

The actual hearing to go over the monitor’s evaluation is scheduled for December 18, when the commissioner will likely rule based on her report.

I considered it...strongly. I even emailed People to see what the process was. But then the second custody ruling came out- Kevin won- and I thought...why do that? Why "sell out" (even though I would not have accepted money because it would have tainted the accuracy of my words) if there is no legitimate need?

I think it's pretty much the same philosophy that Kevin follows about releasing photos of him and the boys. IF he was losing ground, he might...to change the perception of him as a parent. But...the important thing is that the boys are with the stable, loving parent...and they are. So why...you know, add more crap to the whole tabloid crap-mountain?

I admit part of my ambivilance is that I am loathe to become a "target" of ahem, esteemed organizations like X-17. But if the need was there, I would do it. I did offer to submit a statement in the custody case and was told by a minion of Kaplan's that there is a long line of family and friends that have submitted statements and since everything is going his way in court, I didn't need to junk up the waters with more of the same.

But I have ZERO problem saying it here, especially when X-17 is so very keen on trying to make him appear like this caveman svengali who doesn't even know his kids' names. I wish they would consider the kids' welfare instead of just trying to become more cozy in their position of becoming firmly ensconced up Britney's posterior.

Lawyers for Britney and K-Daddy have worked out an arrangement for who gets the kids for the Xmas holidays.
We've learned, under the deal hammered out by Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, and Brit's disso-cutie, Anne Kiley -- Spears will open presents with the kids on Christmas day, and eat whatever best accompanies a Fanta. It's only fair, since K-Fed got the kids for Thanksgiving dinner.

4:05...can you r-e-a-d? In my first post here today I clearly stated that I hadn't officially "met" Jayden as he was sleeping or "not taing visitors" when I was there.

I'm 27, and another year older every May 12, but I was lucky to have a mother who was a total bookworm as a kid and she read to me nonstop, and taught me to read/write early, while also encouraging creative writing. I have always "sounded" good in the written word, as mom told me I should always "type exactly how you talk".

I don't feel a need to defend my "consistency" to you...sometimes my husband is here (he's ill) and I do not post long, winding posts when he's here because I like to spend my time with him. When he's not here, I feel freer to write as much as I please and at 90 wpm, I can still get through these posts pretty quickly.

I have also told myself over and over that I would refrain from discussing the minutiae of Kevin's life with the kids, no matter what I was privy to. But sometimes, like today...I just got too steamed at the people making up ridiculously perverse accusations. You just cannot say things like that without having proof and expect NOT to hear defenses for someone.

By the by, I do not thin I'm the only person in her (or his) twenties who is well-written. "Justin is glad he dodged that..." is (I think) a younger person as well.

YOUR theory lacks "consistency" and I will tell you why...there are some people here in their forties who cannot correctly write or punctuate a sentance for love or money!

People are generally just well-written or not...once you get to adulthood, I don't think age matters too much in that regard. That's why we have bestselling authors just on the cusp of adulthood all the way to seasoned octogenarians who have many decades of writing experience.

Sean and Jayden have been in both Britney and Kevin's custody for most of their lives whether it be shared or not. Its funny how you point fingers at the children's development on Brit when Kevin was just as much a part of that as was Brit. Or.. are you going to make excuses and claim that Kevin was never around the kids during their baby years, but instead gambling Brits money.

If there's blame here, it should be shared by BOTH parents. Both are lousy. And you are so sad to defend this arse of a man as he played just an integral role in the kids' development as did Britney.

I'm sick of people sticking the finger and playing the blame game. Can we all come to the consensus that BOTH parents Screwed up badly. THey are both accountable and lets move on. Kevin looks like the better parent today, Brit looks like she is finally pulling herself together, and well, as for the past, the two once lovebirds are both at fault.

britney has not shown that she loves her kids... in fact, she's shown that she doesn't want the responsibility that comes with them & doesn't really care much at all.

kevin shows that he cares enough to step up to the plate & be a full time dad. and yes, he has a nanny to help out - she could too if she wasn't such a trainwreck scared of what the nanny 'witness' would see her doing!!

Britney is too dumb to even know what is right and what is wrong when it comes to kids. To her, in my mind, they are dolls, playthings. I don't think she realized the tremedous responsbilities that go with having children. It is life altering and you will never have the life you had before you had kids again.

I have two kids and my life pretty much has been devoted to them. Their needs, their issues, their wants. I am HAPPY to do this because I am a mother. My mother did it for me and I am doing it for my kids. I have a life but not like I once did.

I think Britney wanted to have kids but have the same life she had before and that is impossible. Kids need so much and they cramp your "style" if you like to party and go club hopping.

She simply is too immature to have full custody of the boys IMHO.

I dont know which parent has the kids in speech and cognitive therapy and neither does anyone. Both parents have joint parenting counselling sessions, so who knows, maybe both agreed to enroll the kids and this is being done on Kevin's time. Who knows whats done behind closed doors, and i doubt that Brit will take her kids to a kids counselor when she already has limited time with them.

In regards to Brit not hiring a nanny.. i think she should but in the same token you can't blame her for being skeptical. Her parents sell her out to write a book, her former employees sell her out too.. who knows if what they say is the truth.. but when you get Brits former bodyguard making press statements for $1M bucks saying that he fears Brit will drowned the kids.. youve gotta look at that and think.. wow.. that sentence right there scored him big bucks.

i can't blame the girl for not trusting anyone, unfortunately, i think she should have a nanny because it could really help those kids.

Anyhow, at the end of the day, i hope the kids are with both of their parents and they give those babies the love and attention they need.

Justin's Glad...I am only on here for a sec looking up something for a recipe so I'll be quick.

You need to scroll w-a-a-a-a-a-y UP to see the post re. my "inside" info. Although I have vowed to myself over (and over and over and over) to appear as a private citizen who does NOT have access to any "special" info in order to keep myself from inadvertently exploiting my personal connection to the situation. A couple of times, people have just been SO stupid and leveled the most baseless lies toward Kevin (such as the GEM of a Britiot who said on this post that Kevin was a "drug dealer" and a "womanizer"...Kevin hasn't used ANY drugs since shortly after Jayden's birth, meanwhile BRITNEY is the one who, in a coked up haze married some dude in Vegas for about nine minutes and CURRENTLY is swilling amphetamines like it's yesterday's red bull- and HE is the one who constantly gets it from the "fans" about drugs!) that I lose control and reveal personal details that I shouldn't.

Although I DO have Kevin's blessing to post here, I know he had no idea how "wordy" I can be when he gave it and I also know that I would KILL me if someone mentioned therapies my children were receiving without express permission to do so. Even though I talked about it in the context of DEFENDING Kevin, I still felt horrible.

After my first post, I made a phone call and fell on my sword, admitted that I'd let my temper get away with me and posted private details on a public forum. Kevin stated that he never "hides" the therapists nor the pediatrician and that he has no problem with people who knowing the kids are thriving.

I think it would be different if the kids were older and had, you know, learning disabilities and issues in that regard...but in this case, as I mentioned before, the "therapy" was mostly just really engaging "playtime".

Anyway, so...read my earlier posts to satisfy your inquiring mind!

Britey Spears life style that she has chosen since the break from Kevin is like war in Iraq, when is this stupid sh*t going to end.

As I said, sometimes it really is a labor of love to post here given the wild abandon with which Britney's "fans" bash Kevin and also the creeps who say things about the kids' appearances.

I think by now I have been here long enough that everyone knows I don't have an agenda...challenging X-17's obscenely biased (sometimes to the point of child-endangering, such as when they encourage Britney and call her a "rock star" for running red lights and parking in handicapped spaces) so-called "reporting" and along the way hopefully clue some people in to the fact that Kevin really IS an above-average parent.

I have been through the whole "you met Kevin? Yeah right..." nonsense a dozen times, once bullied to the point of actually posting a photo of myself in Kevin's living room (this was also done to combat the many "fans" who were saying that I must be single and hideous and jealous if I didn't support Britney...while I won't be parading down a runway any time soon in a sparkly Victoria's Secret ensemble with a pair of oversized angel wings on my back, I am nothing for my husband to be ashamed of, either!) but only a few people had actually SEEN Kevin's living room in a wide enough context to understand it was actually the right place. I have photos with him and other family members in them as well and I was going to ask if he minded if I posted just one on here to bolster my credibility. (This was back before I realized that the only people who were bullying me and calling me a liar were people who ALSO were calling Britney a "great mom"...so I decided pretty quick my need to "prove" anything to them was nonexistent!)

Then my husband pointed out something...he said even if you post ten pictures of yourself in Kevin's home (as it happens I don't have ten, just a handful, but he was making a point) how can you prove it's YOU in the pictures? He pointed out that X-17 so routinely misidentifies people at Kevin's home and on his property that I put myself at risk of being labeled as any number of undesirable things.

So basically the score is this: I could, pardon my crudeness, give a crap on a cracker if people disbelieve that I have personal connections to this case. I find it literally laughable when ANYONE claiming to know someone remotely famous or infamous, they are called out by not just some but MOST people! I mean, with ALL of the celebrities out there, are people REALLY stupid enough to think that NONE of the friends/family/acquaintances of said celebrities visit these sites or have a myspace page? (I don't have one as it happens- I'm just saying)

Justin's Glad, you are totally correct regarding my connection to the kids making it near impossible for me to bear some of the comments on this blog. They are such precious boys, they really are. If you tell Sean to "Smile!" or "Say Cheese!" he smiles a huge smile that shows off those apple cheeks and precious little dimpled chin...but almost without fail, he closes his eyes- it's so funny. Even that, though, brings an element of sadness regarding their mother's fitness, or lack thereof, to parent them: what I first thought was just a cute childhood "quirk" may actually be the result of Sean's experience with the paps at his mother's hands...maybe he closes his eyes automatically because the flashes/chaos are so scary to him. Maybe it IS just a childhood quirk and has nothing to do with Britney at all. My point is, it's one of an endless list of things about those boys that just make them so endearing and precious. Even when Jayden refused to "meet" me (Sean had immediately lifted his arms in the universal "pick me up!" gesture and me generally being good with kids thought Jayden would be just as happy to meet a new friend) he would bury his face in his stepgrandma's shoulder and kind of give a dismissive wave, like..."I'm so o-vah dis...go away!" and even though I'm a total sucker for a cuddly baby and would have loved to interact with him, I thought it was precious that even being rejected by him from WAY across a large room made me appreciate all his quirks and cutenesses. They both also go "mmmmmmmmmmm!" when they see/smell a flower and in a darling case of mimicry, Sean puts it to his nose to smell, only he JAMS it INTO his nose! A-freakin'-dorable. Oh, and speaking of "nose"...when the developmental therapist was doing "head, shoulders, knees, and toes", he would point accordingly and at the conclusion of each "toes", he would then point to his nose and say "noise". He laughs aloud with a joyful "HAH!" followed by a peal of giggles and anyone who wouldn't be melted by it is just not even HUMAN!

I say these things not to further "prove" my case; as I said, I feel no need. People who believe me (the smart people ;) will believe me and people who don't...can bite me! But anyway, I say them to try and "connect" you all to these kids as well...hoping that even ONE person who has been blindly and foolishly rah-rah'ing Britney to get the kids back simply because they like her will see that SHE doesn't appreciate all of these things enough to abide by the court mandates when they are NOT that much to ask- and even if they were, who cares?! If I were Britney right now, the FIRST thing I would do after a shower and getting those hair extensions removed and those boots surgically removed would be to reevaluate my choices and attack those court orders like a rabid penned dog.

For the person who commented on my husband's illness, thank you so very much. He is still shaky but doing so well. I am not sure how much you kept up with, but they did NOT have to do a bypass surgery, only put in a "drug-alluding stint" in the blocked artery. Overall he is very healthy, as any athletic and health-conscious man in his thirties would be...but his dad AND granddad died at young ages from massive coronaries so we are being cautious and careful. I do appreciate and covet and prayers offered on his behalf.

Speaking of unwell, I came on because I had a killer sinus headache...I thought if I sat up awhile I might feel better but I am still battling this truly hideous headache so I am off to bed.

Random point of interest to bloggers of all Britney/Kevin persuasions: I rarely post as much as I have today, and in reading so many posts I discovered something-- I want to take anyone who uses the word "puter" instead of "computer and just...ban them all to some remote island! Is it just me? ;^)

EA, It's not just me. There are many people here, who have seen you post from the beginning and have seen your pictures, and we know what you say is the truth. That's why, what you say, is important to us. Most of us, are on the kids side and we want the best for them. Right now, we think Kevin is the best thing. I have researched Kevin myself, and I think he is way misunderstood. I'm not saying he's perfect. He's made mistakes, like all of us, but he seems to have learned from them. Britney has not. Those kids need stability, they need to be with real family and Kevin allows that to happen. He could easily keep the kids away from Brit's parents, but he knows they need them in their life. I understand how he doesn't want his kids in the spotlight. I think I would feel the same way. I remember how he was there for Britney when she was in rehab. He supported her and tried to do his best. I don't think he means her harm, but he has to protect the kids. She is simply not stable. I don't understand why people think this is all about money. I've heard Britney herself say things long before they were divorced that coincide with the way Kevin is now. I don't think he ever wanted to be Mr Spears. I think he is proud and wants to make his own way. His values seem to be similiar to Shar's and I hate when people attack her. I don't think it's right. I also don't think Britney would want her fans bashing Kevin. She has stated this before. I wish people could see this is not what they think, and if you can contribute to that, I think it would be good. EA - you obviously know of what you speak. I too have a son that was developmentally delayed and has to go through speech therapy and first used "signing" as a way of communication.
I am really pleased to see that Kevin has stepped up to the plate and taken control of a situation that was clearly OUT of control.

9:35/9:37...saying whether or not the kids' developmental issues are a result of Britney's drinking/drug use while pregnant would be mostly speculation on my part, but I will tell you what I DO know.

Kevin has said that Britney really went all out when she was pregnant with Sean, as far as trying to change and be healthy. Her pregnancy with Sean was planned, and she got pregnant their first time "trying". Kevin said she only had a drink once in awhile during the early pregnancy and then not at all in the second half- once her doctor told her alcohol was bad for the fetus. (Um, hel-lo!) He said it was literally like she just did not KNOW she wasn't supposed to drink at all.

But anyway, so Britney put the kibosh on drinking, smoking, and drugs even though before her wedding she'd been hitting the big C pretty hard and abusing diet pills. He said she even went through "spells" in the pregnancy with Sean where she would vow to give up caffeine although it was apparently a weakness for her and her OB told her that a few small cups of caffeinated beverage per day were all right.
You may recall that when Sean was an infant, Britney held him and bonded with him often. I believe it was when she unexpectedly became pregnant with Jayden that she started on her downhill emotional spiral. (That is PURELY my own theory and has no basis whatsoever in anything Kevin or anyone else has ever said, FTR...I am just basing it upon her actions at the time and since then)

Kevin said that Britney's OB told her it was "less likely" to get pregnant while breastfeeding. And that is actually TRUE, to a point. But, he said Britney was bad about the discipline necessary for nursing; that if she was too tired or didn't feel like it, she would give Sean formula. By the time Britney got pregnant with Jayden, she was only nursing Sean once every two or three DAYS-- breastmilk is a supply/demand thing and when you don't nurse consistently, your supply isn't consistent. Britney mistakenly thought that if she was breastfeeding at ALL, she'd somehow be practicing "nature's birth control".

Like she said on Letterman...the second pregnancy "just kind of happened".

By this time, her parenting was under the microscope; child services had become involved...Sean had suffered not one but two serious injuries as a result of Britney's carelessness and we all know about the driving-on-the-lap thing as well-- and considering Britney's propensity for traffic accidents, we all should thank God above that Sean is okay, as even a low-speed "fender bender" would have likely resulted in a disastrous injury with Sean hitting the winshield.

She basically just acted like she wasn't pregnant, especially in the middle part of the pregnancy. Apparently she was "sneaking" hard liquor in water and juice bottles and there was at least three instances where drugs were involved although I believe they were all prescription drugs. (Still, they weren't HER prescription drugs and they WERE dangerous for use in pregnancy or any other time)

After Jayden's birth, he had some lazy eye issues and other things that COULD have resulted for embryo-toxicity. Kevin said Britney was paranoid and fanatical about people not seeing Jayden because of what Britney called "birth defects" but which Kevin said were actually just "medical conditions" which could and did get worked out with the necessary medical intervention.

Kevin said that people in Britney's family CONSTANTLY tried to assure her that Jayden was a beautiful baby, and he really WAS! He was a planned c-section (although spontaneous labor necessitated moving the surgery up) so his head was perfectly round and he wasn't all "squeench-faced" as my little cousin used to say in regard to her newborn sibling. He had gorgeous eyes that were almost a navy or sapphire color and a perfect button nose and dimpled chin. (Although his eyes later changed to mimic Britney's shade- brown)

Personally (again, my own thoughts and not any "inside" knowledge I have) I think Britney must have already been a fry short by this time if she was so convinced that she had to keep Jayden "hidden" because of his "ugliness" when in reality he was, like, this "American Baby" magazine cover-boy!

Britney was apparently so wracked with guilt over her missteps during the pregnancy that she REALLY started seeking solace in alcohol and drugs at this time. According to Kevin's stepmom, by the time Jayden was just a few weeks old, both families were freaking out about what they felt was an incredibly volatile situation...Britney has been around nothing but "yes people" since she was a kid, and she does NOT take kindly to being told what to do. Therefore, the more her spouse and family members urged to seek help, the more outrageous her behavior was. THIS is a direct quote from Kevin...he said that in a sit-down with him and Britney's mom and one of her former minions (manager, spokesperson, something or other...I forget) they tried to make her see how her outrageous behavior was not befitting of a young mom with a newborn and a barely-one-year-old. He said it's like a switch flipped...and Britney suddenly was like "okay...I'll SHOW you outrageous Thus began all the crotch-flashing, breast-flashing, all-night party-hopping, etc. And when she took the boys places, it was to stores like "Trashy Lingerie" (name speaks for itself as far as what type of establishment it is) and a sex-toy store.

She, as usual, wouldn't listen to anyone and when Kevin and her mom both decided enough was enough; she was putting the kids in danger simply by being around them...well, Kevin received notice of a divorce filing via text message from Britney...AFTER she'd gone on David Letterman as a "surprise" guest. And Lynne...well, we all know what happened there. How sad is it that she was cut off from her eldest daughter and beloved grandsons, her ONLY grandchildren...simply because Britney could not abide being "told" what to do- even as she knew her actions were horribly wrong.

Although Kevin had missteps of his own, such as going out an partying when Jayden was a newborn, he was in SUCH a pressurized situation...home all day with Britney, day after day, trying to anticipate her moves so that he could thwart plans that involved drugs or boozing. Indeed, the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back was when Britney had consumed an ungodly amount of pure hard liquor and then tried to breastfeed Jayden. Kevin said at that point she had rarely nursed him at all, EVER- so she probably had little if any milk, AND she was so sloppy drunk she couldn't even coordinate the necessary movements to nurse. BUT...the issue was that she COULD have exposed his fragile system to dangerously high concentrations of alcohol or just plain dropped him where she stood- which happened to be on an upstairs BALCONY. (I know...God almighty, it's a literal miracle both of those boys are alive and well, isn't it?) That was "it"...Kevin refused to let her care for the kids alone and that was the ultimate in being "bossed around" to Britney, so she decided to seek a divorce, assuming that with all her resources she could basically "buy" custody no matter what. Kevin threatened to have a hair test done on her, which would have exposed her drug use during pregnancy since they can test back so far with the hair test.

You can guess the rest...Britney engaged in the "haircut heard 'round the world" and shaved her head, believing that it could never be proven now that she used drugs while pregnant. She was so paranoid because she KNEW she would be flat cold BUSTED...that's why when the hairdresser/owner of the salon refused to shave Britney's head, saying she needed to "think it over for a bit", Britney waited until her back was turned, grabbed her clippers, and started doing it herself.
Remember, Britney did a total FREAK OUT when she found out that the woman was trying to sell the DISCARDED hair on ebay and sued the woman- she was afraid the hair could be tested anyway. When she found out that the hair follicle "dies" after being cut and most drugs can no longer be traced, she quickly dropped the suit.

Ultimately, I feel that the developmental and cognitive delays suffered by the boys are mostly the result of when Britney had custody by herself. Before she went to rehab, she had custody since she was the one who filed for divorce and Kevin had very limited visitation. He was out of his mind during this time, worrying that the boys would get sick, hurt, lost, etc if Britney went off on one of her binges while alone with them. He commissioned Alli to try and corral Britney as best as possible WHEN possible, but for the most part he had no say in their development or progress during that time.

During the month Britney was in rehab, the boys began to flourish and thrive and reach some long-delayed milestones, but as soon as 50/50 custody kicked in, the boys, especially Jayden, would take a step forward in progress while with Kevin but then return from their visits with Britney having taken two steps back. It was nightmarish for both Kevin AND the boys during a lot of the 50/50 time...they have a pretty standard bedtime at Kevin's along with scheduled meals and snacks and naps. But Britney gave them caffeinated drinks on the nights SHE had them, to try and get them to stay up as late as possible so that she could sleep in the next day. (After all, her own lawyer admitted just weeks ago in open court that "pop stars sleep until noon" all the time) She would also feed them total CRAP and then of course they would balk at eating the healthy meals at Kevin's.

Anyone with little kids knows that a solid schedule is the lifeline of any SANE parent. If a baby or toddler is taken OFF a schedule on purpose they have to relearn it almost every time. It was just a nightmare for Kevin, his family, Britney's mom, and the nanny to deal with. Sean especially had problems acclimating to the radical changes he was forced to experience each week.

This is one reason why I was and remain appalled when Britney requested her "emergency hearing" (you know...the one she couldn't be bothered to show up for). If you recall, when the commish called her and told her to get her a$$ to court, STAT, when she finally arrived (SIX HOURS+ late) she stated that the "emergency" was that- GET this- the boys returning home to Kevin each day was TOO STRESSFUL ON THEIR SLEEP SCHEDULE! Can you believe?! She claimed that they had to be woken from a nap in order to return in the late afternoon/early evening.

Now, the whole reason why the hours of the visitation being established as it was came as a result of the lawyers asking both Britney and Kevin "what would be least stressful on the boys?" and since the boys' bedtime was eight o'clock, it was determined that 5-7pm was a good time for them to leave Britney's place due to the fact that no naps or meals would be interrupted.

This so-called "emergency" got Britney busted for her lazy, slothful ways and the commish harshly chastised her for calling it "an emergency" asking her if she had any idea what taxpayer overhead cost is involved in an all-day hearing that consumes the resources of an entire courthouse. Of course, she blankly stared at him (probably thought "overhead" was a sexual term all this time) and then rolled her eyes right. at. him. when asked if she really considered this a true "emergency" and if so, did she believe that she herself was a disruption to the boys' schedule. She was pressed to answer, of course- since it IS freakin' COURT after all, not Starbucks or your friendly local Chevron/tanning salon/collagen injection office/chandalier clearinghouse/etc...and she just said "I don't know".

A true EMERGENCY HEARING is the one Kevin had to call when Britney was photographed all OVER the damn place with the boys unbuckled in their carseats, in the back of the convertible...WITH the top down, natch.

Once again, sorry so lengthy. I actually started this post this morning and I have been in and out of my office all day and just forgot I hadn't posted it until now. Obviously this thread got to me...not NEARLY as much as the one they posted today regarding Kevin's being named an outstanding father by a widely-read and acclaimed magazine...but that's another mile-long post for another time...look for THAT later.
