Britney SpearsTMZ has learned UCLA doctors determined Britney did not pose the legal danger to herself or to others such that they could continue to hold her against her will.

As a result, she was released today and we're told she's already back home.

The conservatorship is still in place. Sources connected with the case say they anticipated that UCLA would probably release her before the 14-day extension because she became cooperative and relatively stable.

We're told the goal with Brit's mom and dad was to establish the conservatorship while she was hospitalized so she would return home to a controlled environment rather than the chaos that consumed her life.

I had a feeling that was going to happen. I know or knew that Brit wasn't going to stay in there. She was probably so angry with her parents that they struck a deal with her or made a compromise so that both parties would be accomodated. Lynne probably remembered what Brit was like when they forced her to do the Rehab and thought better of making he stay in there until Valentines day. I think that was for the best actually cuz she can go somewhere else cuz look at how pissed she was when they forced her to be in rehab, actually she was never the same after that. We all know that Brit is not actually crazy.....Sam is making her seem that way. As long as she gets the F$%# away from him she will be fine. I think even she knows that at this point.
