If you download a single from her CD, it does not count in album sales. If you download 6 of 9 songs it does not count towards album sales. And, full album downlloads on itunes around the world account for less than 5% of any sales, and that is probably inflated by 500% just to be generous...

So yeah... like I said before... Itunes sales do not matter. Daily top 10 on itunes does not matter.... You cannot even create a chart that would translate from itunes into actual sales, as the data is so disconbobulated that it never coincides with the actual end-result data.

The reason Jive moved the date of release up to the 30 of October is because there would not be any competition with her sales. So they could try to get an easy #1. But years ago, Britney could have come out on the same day as Celin Dion, Christina, and many others and her CD would have outsold all of them by far. Now they have to release her CD's on a day and week when there is no competition so she can sell a low 124,000. That is really bad, especially for Britney when you look at her past records.

Also, most of those supposed #1 you are talking about are on iTunes. It was released to the public a couple of weeks ago that JIVE bought over $100,000 worth of those iTunes downloads as promotion to make it look like Britney was doing better then she really was here in the US. But when you look at the actual CD sales (which is what really counts), well that tells it all. She is doing really badly. Britney Spears invited a man to snort cocaine off her chest during a wild party at her Hollywood mansion just two days after losing visitation rights to see her sons.

Scott Kohler, 29, claims he and a group of 10 other strangers were invited to join Spears for a night of heavy partying on 19 October (07), when the troubled star drowned her sorrows with vodka and cavorted with the men in her jacuzzi.

And musician Kohler alleges the 25-year-old singer accepted an offer of cocaine from a fellow partygoer, after he "joked he wanted to do a line off (Spears') chest, and she agreed", reports British newspaper The Sun.

She is allowed to see her two boys three times a week, but must comply with an earlier court order to undergo mandatory drug and alcohol tests as well as attend joint parenting sessions with dancer Federline.

The former couple's next custody hearing is set for 26 November (07).

No band has ever taken longer to reach number one, with a 33-year gap between their debut UK hit, On the Border, and this release, Long Road Out of Eden. The success of the US group's first full studio album since The Long Run in 1979 means Britney Spears has had to settle for second place with Blackout.

That is the maturity level of this woman. When asked about being sued, her response is the man looks like Santa.

That is so funny. Britney fans have to lie about her sales and chart position now in order to try and push her up, lol. This is Britney’s worst CD and it is already doing badly in sales. That other poster is right, when all is over and done with, it won’t even reach 1 million in sales. And any place like iTunes can be bought by the record companies. That is why iTunes is not used by the recording companies for statistics. Those statistics can be manipulated on places like iTunes. Jive bought over 1 hundred thousand dollars worth of those downloads a few weeks ago to push her to #1 for a week. Now if Britney’s CD is selling like crazy a couple of months from now and is selling in the millions like her first two did, then you can jump for joy. But that won’t happen. It is already falling off in sales and by a week from now it will all have died down. She really has no career left and her life is in a complete mess too. I feel bad for her.

I was so exited today to buy her CD. I listened to it all the way through three times in a row. Man was I so upset. This is not even Britney. It is awful and nothing like the fun music from the beginning of her career. Now all she does is act even more like a slut or spends most of the CD bitching everyone out. That is not fun music. That is music of hate and slutyness. This is not a fun CD like she used to make. I don’t even want this damn thing anymore. Now I have to wait for her next CD which might be another four years or so to see if she is going to make a fun CD again or not!

Britney is NOT #1 on any iTunes in the world. Just Britney fans lying again as usual. Just making up statistics that are false. She is doing badly right now and her CD is already slipping in sales. They are already dropping in sales and will not even reach the 1,000,000 mark. This is her lowest and slowest selling CD to date. SHE DID “NOT” PASS HER DRUG TESTS. SHE HAS FAILE 4 OF THEM ALREADY. AND YES, her babies WILL remember all of this. They are at an age where they need their mommy. Her career and CD is NOT more important then her babies. She is not being played on the radio much at all. And that is one of the most important outlets for a recording artist. MTV is not making a big deal about her. She is only getting downloads from iTunes (but is NOT #1). And as all can remember when she was #1 on iTunes a month ago here in the US, it was found out that JIVE paid over $100,000 for most of those downloads in order to push up her image and make it look like she was #1. It was a false #1. It is JIVE’s only way to promote her is by buying those downloads to try to create an image that she is doing well. She won’t do any promotion for them so they are doing what they can. She lost her babies, she is back on drugs since a couple nights ago. Her CD will start to crash in a day or two since all her fans have bought it now. She is still going down hill and will crash real hard soon. She is over!

Your data is wrong. It has been reported heavily, even on reputable news sites (not tabs), that Britney calls the paps all the time to let them know where she will be. Even four different People that worked for her personally have come out and said that. She then flashes her pussy (many times) on purpose and does all she can to create hysteria around her so they will not forget about her. You are seeing what she wants. Even storeowners have come out and said that the paps would start hanging out in front of stores hours before Britney showed up, which shows they had prior knowledge. They have also said that she calls the storeowners a lot of times herself to let them know she will be there. SHE IS THE ONE DOING THIS. SHE IS DOING IT ON PURPOSE TO KEEP THE ATTENTION ON HERSELF. It was also let out that Paris Hilton does the same thing. Even one of Britney’s relatives said that Britney told them "If you don't stay in the public eye then they will forget you". Then right after that she called the paps on her cell phone to let them know where she would be in a couple of hours. The reason the other celebs (and big ones) don't have the paps following them is because they don't do what Brit does and they don't call ahead to get the attention. They keep their privacy as much as they can since they are not crazy. Also, no one else in the celeb world goes out literally every singe day all day long and just drives around all the time to get attention like Britney does. Britney is doing this on purpose. We’ve all guessed and assumed but now a reported from the Chicago Sun Times is exposing Britney Spears love-hate-love relationship with the paparazzi that follow her every day.

Britney Spears has totally rejected the advice from virtually her entire management team, including her mother, Lynne, and is following her own, somewhat unconventional approach to ensuring she will continue to grace the covers of the celebrity magazines and supermarket tabloids she likes to call “the rag mags.”
“Even though her professional career and personal life are train wrecks and she seemingly is paying little attention to her appearance, she is doing everything she can to make sure she’s photographed almost daily,” a former Britney insider — who’s still in touch with Spears’ current staff — told me Saturday in Los Angeles.
Along with this source, this past weekend I also chatted with key staff members of several high-profile hotels, including the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills and the Beverly Wilshire. All told me the same story: Spears or one of her posse members makes daily calls to all the hotels — as well as various popular restaurants, nightclubs and upscale boutiques — to “find out what’s going on … who’s there today,” her ex-aide told me Saturday night.
“Britney is obsessed with keeping herself in the public eye. She has told me several times, “If they don’t see you [in the media], they forget you…. I’m not going to let that happen!’ ”
Part of this is Spears’ love-hate relationship with the paparazzi who trail her every move. While she has frequently complained about the pesky shutterbugs (to Matt Lauer, etc.), she recently has joked with the paparazzi and even has invited a few to hang out with her during various encounters in clubs and restaurants around L.A.
Sources at both the Four Seasons and Beverly Wilshire told me the singer and actress often calls the hotels herself, asking “What press junkets are going on today?” — to determine if stars will be present, to guarantee the paparazzi will be lurking outside.

It’s been rumored that Spears even has a special deals with certain photo agencies, where she purportedly gives them exclusive access in exchange for a cut of the profits from the sales of her pics.

The Chicago Sun Times is a respectable newspaper. It's not a gossip rag. Last week they did an expose on how Britney contacts the paparazzi so they know where she's going to be. There were a number of articles just last week that quoted the owners of x17 and splash news as saying that Britney does in fact call them. The articles weren't actually written about Britney, they were detailing how a lot of celebrities do this. They did acknowledge Britney by name as one of those celebrities. THE ex-husband of drug-addled pop diva Britney Spears lives in terror that she will KILL herself and their young sons.

Kevin Federline, who is battling for custody of their two boys, said: "Britney's behavior has already put our kids at risk and I can't let things get any worse.

"She's lost all grasp on reality and is dragging the children through hell. Her mood swings are now so wild that I live in fear of getting a call telling me that she has killed herself.

"I can't allow her to have custody because I seriously believe she could harm our sons. I've shared her life and I know she's capable of anything with pills and a few drinks inside her."
Kevin has never spoken publicly about Britney, 25. But he confided his secret worries in emotional conversations with girlfriend Nicole Narain. She told the News of the World how he:

CAUGHT Britney breast-feeding son Jayden, one, while DRUNK on vodka.
FEARS her wild and erratic behavior has "damaged" Jayden and two-year-old Sean.
WARNED her to stop leaving the kids alone by the pool and driving them in the car without seatbelts.

In a rare and remarkable insight into the troubled star's life, Nicole, 33, revealed it was the breast-feeding incident which finally put paid to the marriage.

Kevin confided to her: "I'd see her walking around the house guzzling vodka and Coke and looking very tipsy.

"Then a few moments later, I saw her pick up Jayden and start breast-feeding him. That sent me up the wall. I yelled at her, ‘If you really wanna drink then make sure the baby gets bottled milk, not yours.'

"She screamed back, ‘You can't talk to me that way!' But I had to stand up for my children as well as myself.

I never wanted a divorce but now I knew there was no option."

Federline, 29, went on: "During the last few months I'd started picking her up on her parenting skills. She'd leave the kids near the pool unsupervised or drive around without belting them in. She always insisted what she was doing was right. There was no getting through to her. I still love her as she is the mother to my two sons but I will never ever get back together with her."

Nicole said: "Kevin is battling for his kids as he genuinely fears they are at risk. "He never shouts and screams about Britney in front of me. He does speak openly about his concerns for his children though." According to Nicole, Kevin is especially worried about the damage Britney's lifestyle is doing to their sons.

She reveals: "I was with Kevin on Monday morning when his kids turned up after spending time with Britney. He was overjoyed to see them, but deeply concerned about what they'd been through.

"On Monday he was treating Jayden for pink eye (conjunctivitis), and was worried Britney was to blame. He told me if they had joint custody he'd need two days just to get the children settled down and calm again after their stint away with Britney. He says she keeps them up and has no fixed routine which makes them over-stressed, over-tired and desperate for attention.

"He has tried to get Britney to change her ways, but gets nowhere. He gets so upset when the kids are with her that he won't switch on the TV as he knows there will be news footage of her with them in LA.

"He can't bear to see them looking stressed, traumatized and disorientated as she carts them off on another jaunt around town, seemingly for no reason.

"That's one of the key reasons why he went for custody in court." The custody battle began in Los Angeles in September, the month Kevin met Nicole. He landed the first blow when his lawyers presented the LA Superior Court with a dossier about Britney's antics, including alleged lesbian flings, drug abuse, drinking and bad parenting. We can reveal Kevin included the lesbian allegations after Nicole told him about her flirty encounter with Britney last December. Britney's latest CD (Blackout) is the slowest selling CD of hers to date by far. Her last one (ITZ) sold 609,000 on the day of its release. And her first two (BOMT and OIDIA) sold well over a million within the first day of their release. But this one (Blackout) has sold less then 125,000 in its first day of release. And it’s already slowing down in sales. It won't even reach the million mark by the end of next month if at all from what analysts are saying. This is also the last CD Jive is contractually obligated to do with her (she has a 5 studio CD contract with them). Her sales are now quite low. Jive has had nothing but trouble with her for the last few years (it took her over four years to deliver the current CD that was supposed to be out over two years ago). Then adding the facts that she would not do any promo for this CD, or do a tour, and is completely out of control, Jive has decided to drop her soon!

Court dismisses Spears libel case (Spears looses case)

Us Weekly has said it stands by its story.

A US judge has dismissed a libel action brought by Britney Spears against a magazine that claimed she and her husband made a sexually explicit video.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lisa Hart Cole found no basis for the pop star's claim that the Us Weekly report, published in 2005, was defamatory.

Ms Spears and husband Kevin Federline denied filming the video and that they feared it would be made public.

They had sought $10m (£5.3m) in damages over the article. 'Acting goofy'

The judge said that because the singer had "put her modern sexuality squarely, and profitably, before the public eye", the article was unlikely to be considered defamatory. (basically the judge is calling Britney a whore, lol).

I THINK THE POINT EVERYONE IS MISSING, is the fact that Britney is mentally unstable. She really does need serious mental help. I’m not saying that to be mean. But all the really crazy stuff she has been doing now for almost three years is really mentally psychotic. She has married twice and divorced twice to two losers, which "she" chose in less then three years. She has done so many other insane things that it "has" driven almost all her fans away. It is her mental state that is the "real" problem here.

That is what all the fans that have left are really talking about, and the media, and everyone else. It is Britney that can't handle the fame. What almost all of her fans – which have left – want (which "is" in the millions) is the old Britney. She was so great, sweet and fun. She was the kind of woman a cool guy would love to be in love with. She was the kind of woman most women wanted to be like. She had class and sweetness and was smart and together. She was a great performer and millions looked up to her. This person that exists now is so cheep and gross. She is "not" the type of woman a cool and together guy wants to take home to mother, or be proud to show to his friends, or the kind of person most women want to associate with. She is a complete wreck and very self-destructive and hateful now (she turns on everyone eventually).

She went from a person that had her life together in so many ways, such as: she really did love her mother so much, and all her family. She was always on time for her shows and loved performing in a very constructive way; she acted real and was sweet to everyone. She really did respect her fans back then. She acted professional as an artist back then. She was not screwing people over and hating on all of them like she is now. She had "class" in a huge way. She would never have flashed herself and done such low grade and crass acts like that back then. A lot of what made her so sexy is that she would not show anyone, and she had class. That was the image that made her so famous, and it really was who she was, it was not fake.

That is all gone now. Now all we have is a drunk/drugged up, child neglecting, slut, with no class that can't even dress with any style anymore. She is hating on her mother and all the guys she has gone with. She is hating on her managers, publicists, record companies, nannies, bodyguards, the industry, her fans, the entire world in general, and even herself. She disrespects her fans by not even noticing they are alive. She would rather fight with her family, do lots of lawsuits, drugs/drink, act really crazy, shave her head, go to rehab. Have two kids back to back then treat them badly. Marry and divorce twice in less then three years. Hire and fire all her help on a weekly basis. Be promiscuous with many people. The old Britney is what millions loved about her at the beginning of her career. Anyone that thinks “this” Britney is better then the old one or that this one is "just fine" is really crazy and has really low standards. They are probably on drugs themselves and neglect there kids and go crazy and are self-destructive themselves. That is why they glorify this Britney that exists now. They want her to stay like she is now. They are just as self-destructive and psychotic and death oriented as Britney is now. There is a major reason almost all her fans have left (such as me). It is because this is "not" the same beautiful Britney that everyone looked up to so many years ago. This new Britney is crazy and killing herself.

She is so ugly now (as a person and spiritually). She is not a beautiful being anymore. That was her charm and what made her so famous. She did not have the best songs in the world or art, but her beauty and sweetness as a person and as a spiritual being was what made everyone fall so in love with her. She made you feel great just seeing her. She seemed to be having such a great time. She had a fantastic charm and charisma, and a spiritual draw to her. That is gone now. People just watch her now because she is a joke and they want to see what crazy and dumb thing she will do next. All that is left is a hateful person running around acting very degraded and insane.

She does not even interact with her kids when she is with them. With all the thousands of pictures we see of her with her kids, she is almost always going out to do things for herself and not for her kids. She carries them around with her but does not bond with them (you can see it in her eyes every time she has them with her). She does not even seem to want them. The old Britney would have acted very differently to her kids then this one does.

It’s as if the Britney from 8 or 9 years ago and the one from the last three years are literally two different beings. Kind of like the movie "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers". Same body but very different being (personality). It is such a shame; I used to love that other Britney so incredibly much. But I just can't support someone that is so self-destructive and evil now, and so ugly (spiritually) and hateful. I guess this is one way to put it. She used to be so great and wonderful (spiritual). Now she is just plain evil and hateful and ugly and material.

I will bet that most of the “haters” here used to be huge fans of hers. They are not really haters. They are just massively disappointed in what she has become. That is what they are really attacking. They hate the ugliness that is there now. They are the ones that loved what she used to be. But they just can't support the evil that exists now. The evil that has killed off the beautiful Britney that was alive and so great 8-9 years ago.

Yesterday reportedly when she was filming her new video, a photo shoot was also scheduled for the magazine’s upcoming cover story.

As you would expect, Britney supposedly showed up three hours late. When she arrived, she was allegedly out of her f*cking tree and even though everyone knew of her notorious eccentricities (which is putting it kindly) everyone was also shocked to see her so wasted, exhibiting behavior outrageous even for her. Allegedly of course.

For instance…she had her dog with her – the new puppy she called London. Since London is a puppy and since she has yet to provide him with a proper, regular routine, of course London pissed and shat all over the place. And who picked up the poop? Britney picked up the poop…allegedly mopping it up with a Chanel dress. A Chanel dress. Allegedly of course.
Just the beginning…

I’m told she apparently kept choosing clothes that were 2 sizes too small so that rolls were squeezing out everywhere, giving the stylist a minor panic attack as it’s her professional portfolio and her job on the line if the images comes out bunk – a likely certainty even with the help of PhotoShop.
But it gets worse…

Britney allegedly wanders around babbling like a baby – as in baby talk. Half the time her head can’t stay straight, lolling around on her neck like a bobble. I’m told she also has no boundaries and allegedly, several times, when she had to pee, even though one of the washrooms was being used as a staging area, she would drop trou and make a tinkle WITHOUT CLOSING THE DOOR and an entire crew working around her. The girl allegedly can’t stop touching herself. As in fondling her breasts, rubbing between her legs… I can hardly bear to write this. So they had one sitting, they were able to get shot. But then paranoia apparently took over, Britney became convinced people were ridiculing her (they probably were), and took off abruptly without explanation. Word is the magazine is scrambling now as it’s supposed to be a cover story, they need more than one image – trying to make it happen for today. She later allegedly explained that she was uncomfortable because she had no idea so many people would be there and it would be such a “big production”. She also thought she looked too “fat”. Allegedly of course.

Thing is, everyone I’ve talked to feels badly for her. Everyone used the word “lost” and “tragic” and having pushed everyone away, and too genetically stupid to take care of herself, Britney is clearly headed for Sad Smut. And Sad Smut don’t belong here…

There is a point that you can't be open minded anymore when children can get hurt or even killed. You can't use the excuse that someone is "just human" and that you should give them every chance. Desperate to help their troubled daughter, Britney’s divorced parents Lynne and Jamie Spears have hired a private eye to track her, insiders say. But her parents were not around when top detox specialist Dr. Stuart Finkelstein rushed to Britney Spears’s Beverly Hills mansion during her recent crisis, sources say. “Britney was in a really bad way – even for her,” a close friend of the singer said.

“She was extremely depressed, seemingly disoriented and out of control. She’d just finalized some tour date, and she realized that she had to get herself together if she was going to go out on the road and perform.”

Let’s take a look at this in a logical way. The record companies are not promoting her. She did not come out on MTV and the big radio stations with her "new" music (singles and CD) like she did in the past, just like an earlier poster said. Now we are hearing her music on the net first, which does not pay her anywhere as much as big CD sales do. Most of the people do not like her new singles or CD like they did her past ones. She only sold 124,000 copies of her new CD (Blackout) on the first day. But ITZ sold 609,000 on the first day and her earlier ones like BOMT and OIDIA sold over a million on the first day. And now “Blackout” will not even sell a million a month from now. It is already falling off big time in sales already, just a few days after its release. Her new CD is actual quite bland compared to her singles and CD’s from her BOMT and OIDIA era. She is really insane now compared to the beginning of her career. She is also very self-destructive, very unstable, and very unpredictable in her erratic and psychotic behavior. This really scares the record companies since they know they would lose millions of dollars in their investments when she flakes out again on a tour. She always seems to really do the dumbest things right before she could make a really good comeback. Every time she has a chance to save her career and do a great job of it she does something really crazy to screw it up. She will do the same with this one too. She is NOT the same person she was 8 years ago. She was sweet, charming, much smarter then she is now back then, and she looked absolutely stunning back then. I agree with you. I have been supporting Britney for some years now. I was not with her from the beginning since I am young. But I got in to her near the end of her big time period, around 2003. But she was so great back then, and was the most famous woman in the world. She really was great. She had class, talent, sweetness, and was a great performer. Commenting negatively and publicly (albeit anonymously) about Britney's disastrous choices is not about jealousy or hate. I would never want to be her.

I will agree that her parents thrust her into the limelight, that she grew up in a hard business and that she has made mistakes.

We all make mistakes. The difference is personal responsibility. You make a mistake, you own the mistake, you learn from it, you move forward. You take time to reflect, and when you need help, you ask for it and let it come to you.

Britney (and her apologists) want to throw blame for her choices on external factors and other people, screech about "forgiving" her and say that we "set her up" for failure. NO. We at home watch the screen, we have no "setting up" influences, and we watch the results of her poor decision making and her entire lack of discretion, civility and parental responsibility. Ms. Britney could have easily (EASILY!) chose to move out of Hollywood, get her life together, reflect on her colorful life and learn from her mistakes. But, sadly, she does not do this. She is a sad, little, desperate person whose desperation is observable even on a screen. She is in denial.
It's not like we're asking her to go into bioscience and get a PhD. At this point, we'd applaud a good haircut, and change of wardrobe (preferably one that includes undergarments and trousers) and some discretion. I would congratulate signs of better personal hygiene. Maybe some involvement in charities to give back to the public which gave her so much. Taking her kids to Disneyland and not smoking around them. And especially, some effort to frequent destinations that are not known to have paps waiting (expecting) her to arrive.
Basically, the "haters" are calling a spade a spade. Ms. Britney is putting very little out there that can be supported and admired, and therefore does not receive support and admiration. Heck, even Lindsey Lohan knew well enough (or was well enough advised) to spend a summer in retreat, away from everything. Even if it's not sincere, in appearance, it is much more admirable than the current terrible cycle of disastrous decision-making which is Britney Spears.

I hope Britney drops out of sight for a while and I wish her some good therapy time, good reflection and meditation, and for her to own her mistakes and life and turn it around for the better. I just don't understand what it takes to get a person to go to a psychiatric center for help. There is so much proof, what is the problem? Nothing can be done now. Once the teeth rot, all that can be done is to wait for the teeth to fall out on their own and the secondary teeth to come in. There is nothing Kevin or anyone else can do to fix the kids' teeth. The damage could have been caused by sucking on a bottle with sweet sugary things in it and improper oral hygiene. Whatever it is, there is no reversing it. Time will have to fix it and the poor kids (Both have funky teeth but the older more so since he has more teeth to rot) will have to live with those rotted and soon to be blackened teeth until they fall out naturally.

I just watched a clip called Mesage from Kevin to Britney(from the Chaotic Show I think) and I am convinced that he was serious and that they still love each other. Too bad Brit's fans turned on him and would be appalled if they got back together.
