In case you don't know what this word means, a prescription is legally given to a patient by a doctor for a sickness and/or illness such as BI-POLAR DISORDER, ANXIETY, OR DEPRESSION. Someone who has been diagnosed with all of those illnesses could be up to atleast 5 different meds, if not more. People that have never experienced depression/anxiety, shouldn't judge because you have no idea what crazy things people can be capable of when brian chemicals that are extremely imbalanced. Jesse, prescription medications can be abused which she is clearly doing. They can kill as well. I had major depression for 3 years and while it is horrible, I have never done any of the things this woman has done. My son is my life, and it was very hard on him for those years. He came to me one day and said all I want for my birthday is to have my mommie back. He was 6 years old. I was at the doctor's office the next day, spent a month in Charter, and have been fine every since. When you are sick, you get help. If not for yourself, for your family. Let's stop making excuses for her. She chose her life and now she needs to fix it and her mental health as well.

They made need to be changed, you can become immuned, the dosage may need to be regulated, etc. She is playing with fire if she is not being monitored. Having too many doctors is a bad thing as well. I agree Britney needs help and her family. My half brother suffered from paranoia and bi polar disorder. You just couldn't make him see things in a rational way without meds. IT IS VERY HARD to commit someone longer than the 72 hour observation period. Most insane people arent openly saying I am going to kill myself or others. They just are lost in a frightening abstract world. Finally after 10 yeaars of in an out of hospitals. He was released from a facilty and the next day jumped off a bridge. I feel for this entire family. There is a rough road ahead.

The California Dept of Social Services got the sealed copies of this whacko druggie's records of everything pertaining to her children, mental health & DRUG USE from the court yesterday against hyer lawyers' objections. She's now under their scope big time apart from the civil custody case and won't be getting any kind of visitation (not even supervised)on their watch for a year without bi-weekly drug test and major psychiatric intervention. Done deal, there'll be social workers every other day for her for at least a year.

I am not a Kevin or Britney fan, but I do know one thing. If I were Kevin and I had to drop my kids off to Britney, I would be scared to death too. My son takes Adderall for ADHD. For him it helps him focus in school and stops impulsiveness. A very effective medicine for those that need it and don't abuse it. My son has to go for med checks every month and I call the dr. and have to go in or have it mailed to my home monthly. They do not allow refills on them. My son also goes to therapy weekly because he has Autism too. It is really sad when someone abuses drugs.

I live in the North East and Britney was on Cnn all day. No school because of snow. My son was watching tv and said Don't people get it. She doesn't want to be a mother. Her kids deserve a mother and she would probably stink at it anyway. Poor kids I feel bad for them.

Even in the deepest depths of addiction or mental illness, some responsibility has to be taken by the person suffering. She is being a defiant child and no one is going to be able to help her until she decides to help herself. What are her parents or family members supposed to do? In almost every state the standard to have someone institutionalized against their will is so steep (full and complete incapacitation) that it is virtually impossible to meet. She won't listen to anyone, she alienates or fires anyone who tries to help her. She knows she needs help and she knows the help is out there, she has just chooses to not to pursue it. Stop making excuses for her, stop blaming everyone else for the mess she is in and just let her fall. It sounds cruel, but there is NOTHING anyone can do for her until she wants to help herself. If you want to help someone, get off your computer and volunteer at a local homeless shelter, a hospital or hospice. Stop wasting your time on a spoiled celebrity who doesn't need or want your compassion or concern.

I know a few things about mental health issues. I am bi-polar and ADHD. In my opinion, her behavior is not justified by her "mental ilnesses" if she were really ill they would not have released her from the hospital so soon. The ONLY reason to go to multiple pharmacies is to hide "DR. shopping" and multiple RXs for drugs with the sole intent of abusing them. Wake up people!! She is a drug addict not a poor defensless mental patient. If she wasn't SO high all the time she just might notice her kids are missing and maybe miss them too! She didn't go into court because she was afraid.. of peeing in a cup!! NOT the paps!! I can visit the drug store in peace but I still pick up my RXs at the drive thru window. I have health problems as well so I take up to 15 different meds each month but I go to 1 pharmacy to make sure none of them conflict with one another and with all that I still don't go daily!! She needs help. The first step would be for the paps to leave her alone. All the attention her antics are getting her creates a high of it's own and ONLY incourages her to do more and more outragious things. Right now her kids ARE better off without her. She would just be using them for attention seeking as she has in the past. Munchousin by Proxy anyone?? The more attention she gets the faster she spirals down. Continuing to feed this cycle will lead eminently to her death. Just something to think about x17!!
