Poor Britney - as if last night's events weren't stressful enough on their own, Us Magazine is now reporting that hospital staff were reluctant to even monitor the pop princess once she was admitted!
As a "special needs" patient - a classification assigned to patients who either tried to overdose or kill themselves - hospital staff were required to keep an eye out to make sure Britney didnt' endanger herself.
"We watch ["special needs" patients] so they don't hurt themselves and watch the people who come visit them to make sure they don't pass anything to them," a hospital source told Us.
Unfortunately, when it came to Britney, nobody wanted that responsibility!
"We got a call to go have someone sit with her,” Us' source added. “None of us wanted to go sit with her." (emphasis X17's)
Good thing Sam showed up when he did - Britney was probably in need of a friendly face!
We really hope those unnamed sources did the right thing and checked in on Brit - after all, it would be downright despicable to admit her under such scandalous conditions and then refuse her the care that goes along with them!
