This is my favorite story of 2009. Technically, the conservatorship wasn’t extended. It was made permanent in October 2008. The court requires an annual psychiatric re-evaluation. Apparently she failed (it was inevitable). She once said she didn’t want to be a role model and she wasn’t. She did, however, become an excellent example of negative consequences. Her life reminds people why they shouldn’t consume alcohol and drugs and why when a judge orders a psychiatric evaluation, the person should follow the order. Her arrogance and poor judgment led her to irreparably damage her life. Oh well, too bad. The permanent conservatorship means she can’t endanger children, drivers and pedestrians without facing more harsh consequences. As long as other people don’t have to deal with the chaos that follows her around like a shadow it’s all good!
