Although in principle I say it's never right to take advantage of someone, I totally follow your point on this one.

Britney was such a carefully created and plasticized "product" that even as she was gyrating around in a nude colored g-string and push up bra, singing about how NOT innocent she was, she was also being lauded for 'clinging to her virginity until her wedding night'.

When I look back now and think about how people were so thoroughly snowed...I realize that her "people" were possibly the most genius team that public relations/marketing has ever seen.

SOME people saw through her...I remember an old colleague of mine was just LIVID when "Baby One More Time" came out and Britney was on the cover of Rolling Stone holding the stuffed Tellytubbie...she was, what- fifteen, sixteen, when those photos were shot? She posed on a small child's bike wearing hotpants that said "baby" across the butt...AND in her parents' living room in front of her entire family in a shirt so tight and short that her nipples were waving hello to all and sundry. Anyway, my friend Kim was SO mad about the example set forth for young women and girls...later that week (the same week the RS cover with Britney debuted) we had an office party for someone's birthday and it was at a Karaoke bar. Kim had one or six too many cosmos and when it was her turn to sing, Britney's current single (the aforementioned 'Baby One More Time') started playing...Kim made up her own lyrics and while I don't remember the whole thing, I do remember laughing so hard I almost wet myself when the familiar "bah dum bah DUM..." drumbeat came on and Kim started singing (instead of the real lyrics, which I do not recall) *bah dum bah DUM* "...I'm on-ly four-teen and I'm humped twen-ty dudes..."*bah dum bah DUM* and then later on in the song-- "...how was I sup-posed to know...that some-thin' wasn't ri-ight..." and then she screamed "It was the HERPES!"

What Britney Spears pulled on Thursday night is nothing more than proof positive of her mental instability. The reports of her being protective of her youngest son because of bruises on his legs is an insult to anyone with an IQ over 40. No credible publicist will work for this woman anymore so she is using pathetic media sites like this one to do her PR work for her. Unfortunately, they are about as qualified to do so as she is a mother. If it weren't for the fact that she is who she is, she would still be in the hospital and would lilkely be facing criminal charges and a mandatory stay at a mental institution. I don't know if he is "trying" to get conservator-ship per se, but he is realizing that Thursday night/Friday morning was, unfortunately, NOT "rock bottom" for Britney, as so many people had hoped. He thought that this was going to make her see what she's become...but no go. She's convinced it's Kevin's & his attorney's fault, her mom's fault, etc etc etc.

I heard that he now gets that if there is a hope of saving her from herself, he may have to do that- the 5150 hold.

Anyway, I haven't seen K. or the boys today...I am back in Texas right now due to a church obligation. I am getting ready to go back and I am t-i-r-e-d. The boys are doing well from what I heard this a.m.-- Sean P is still not sleeping well but the therapist said that was to be expected for several days. Kevin, poor thing- he is, like, running on empty...he is SO concerned about the boys bearing lasting scars from this ordeal and it is showing...his cheeks are sunken-in looking and his pallor is just awful- he isn't eating well enough.

He has a ton of support right now, all of which he has vocalized gratitude for...he is just scared of what could still happen. Nearly a year ago when Britney had checked into then OUT of rehab a couple times, she basically tried to accost Kevin at his home and "demanded" the boys, saying they were "her" kids, etc...he would not open the gate for her, of course.

Anyway, NOW he's much more afraid of what she might do THIS time than last time...I asked him why-- last year he was much cooler, calm, etc-- and he said it pertains to Britney's horribly inflated sense of entitlement and self-absorption. He said that LAST year, she had primary physical and legal custody while he only had visitation. He thinks that the fact she's even had her visitation revoked now may lead to her having one of her "I'm Britney, Bitch" episodes...basically she is SO unhinged right now and that combined with her "it's all about ME" persona is a volatile combination.
Kevin said that Britney thrives on chasing and pursuing that which she cannot have...(he didn't say this; it's my own observation-- but I bet that is why she is CONSTANTLY after married/taken men) he pointed out that Britney requested her "emergency" hearing (you know, the one that was SO important she showed up SIX HOURS late for) it was because she insisted she was "entitled" to overnight visits with the boys. She did not even CONSIDER that her request would be denied, apparently. Recall, she was granted ONE overnight per week-- and when she came out of court, she crowed to an X-17 camera "I got em back, baby!"...her delusions regarding the boys are just *scary*.

Kevin is nervous that she felt so entitled THEN, before she did a lot of this crazy crap...that NOW, she'll just feel like everyone else is so "against" her, that she somehow "deserves" the boys.

He has gotten top-notch security but is still wary, of course. The fact that she's laying low right now also is making everyone nervous, as it's so unlike her.

Sorry to ramble...I am so exhausted I damn near fell asleep eight or nine times while writing this! I'll be seeing everyone in the morning so hopefully K & the boys will be in good form after another night to recover from this fiasco.

I know Kevin as well as everyone else around the boys are worried about residual trauma from these events. Honestly though, if things aren't perpeptuated and they have consistency and just a normal routine, the chances of them having any independent memory are very very slim. Most kids only have very few spotty memories from the age of three and four that are independent and Sean is much younger than that.
Kevin can't worry about what Britney will do. Its impossible to predict behavior, so all he is doing is wasting needless energy on it. Kevin needs to take that energy and put it back into taking better care of himself. Because if he doesn't, the boys will start to notice that too.
