Certainly good people lose custody of their children for a variety of reasons. In some instances, the husband has more power over the court and the woman and gains custody.

In some cases, the woman becomes ill, phnysically or mentally, and loses custody.

Sometimes the man loses custody for some of the same reasons. I think everybody's read about cases where legitimately good people have lost a case at law, either custody or some other case.

It would be simple for simple-minded folks if the world were simple, black and white, wrong and right, with nothing to boggle your minds, to make you consider other options and scenarios. I think that would be the world of children. Adults have to deal with all the gray areas and all the confusion and the unknown. These blogs might be good exercise for those of you who never were enrolled in critical thinking classes in college or high school.

Most people, in fact everybody, are a mixture of good and evil, and evil might be pushing it too far. Just good and not very good might be more descriptive of a lot of people. That's okay.

She started by sliding them across the floor, then kicking them for not getting out of her way. It is possible she thought JJ was one of the dogs. When you are on drugs, anything is possible.

I can say though, that not ALL cases where abuse HAS occured are brought forward with actual charges. This happens for different reasons. However, just because charges aren't brought, doesn't mean there aren't records of something happening. (Not saying that Britney DID do something to either child because I have no way of knowing).

All any of us can really know is what was made public in the court documents. The rest is just conjecture at this point. There is a lot we can speculate about though, given certain circumstances.

It really doesn't MATTER if someone wants to testify or not. The law is the law. If someone gets a subpoena, they are required by LAW to show up at the court and testify as to what they know. They can be compelled to testify as a "hostile witness", but that HAVE to testify or be held in contempt of court.

TMZ has learned Sam Lutfi has agreed to back off the Brit for another 30 days.

We've learned Lutfi and the conservators have avoided the court showdown tomorrow by agreeing to extend the restraining order against Lutfi for 30 days. Under the existing order, which expires tomorrow, Lutfi must stay 2 1/2 football fields away from the Britster and basically have no contact with her at all. The parties have agreed to extend that order.

The Commish will sign off on the extension at the hearing tomorrow.

Sources tell TMZ there was a meeting between Lutfi and the conservators last week. Lutfi had been locked and loaded to fight any extension -- so it appears something that happened during that meeting changed his mind.

We're told Lutfi believes the restraining order extension is a good thing for both him and Brit.

Being Bipolar I know that she can overcome and manage the disease. Not to say it will be easy. It will not. I have been Bipolar (HYPOMANIC) for 10 years. I have had suicidal tendencies and checked myself into hospitals to get my medications stabilized as my body chemistry changed. It requires a lot of dilligence and self awareness and working with medical personnel and knowing yourself and wanting to survive and be a productive member of society. There are many days when my mind is racing and I can't rest and I am so tired but I never ever give up and I never ever give in because I do not want to die. I self medicated for many years before being diagnosed. My mother was BIPOLAR and so are 2 of my sisters. I am a college professor and I teach Psychology. It is not an easy disease to live with but not all BIPOLARS kill themselves. Hopefully she will get regulated on her med's and will find the light within herself and learn to live and accept that she is and will have to be on a maintenance program for the rest of her life. BIPOLAR is not a death sentence. It is just another way to live. We all have chemical imbalances at one time or another in our lives, but some of us seem to be born that way and we do not aks for this disease. We simply treat it and stay aaway from things that might cause us further problems such as drugs and alcohol. I know many BIPOLARS and most are highly intelligent productive people who have a diagnosed mental illness. It is a shame that people talk before they educate tehmselves about BIPOLAR DISORDER. You might know someone close to you that has it and could help them find a way to get the treatment they need but unfortunately people that do not live with an illness or are not faced with this type of adversity in their lives more times than not JUDGE those ofus that are MENTALLY ILL. We are PEOPLE not animals. I am working on my PHD while I teach Introduction to Psychology and I know that it is possible to live a healthy productive life if treatment is given and the person with the BIPOLAR participates in their own recovery. I wish the best for BRITNEY and her FAMILY.
