Certainly good people lose custody of their children for a variety of reasons. In some instances, the husband has more power over the court and the woman and gains custody.

In some cases, the woman becomes ill, phnysically or mentally, and loses custody.

Sometimes the man loses custody for some of the same reasons. I think everybody's read about cases where legitimately good people have lost a case at law, either custody or some other case.

It would be simple for simple-minded folks if the world were simple, black and white, wrong and right, with nothing to boggle your minds, to make you consider other options and scenarios. I think that would be the world of children. Adults have to deal with all the gray areas and all the confusion and the unknown. These blogs might be good exercise for those of you who never were enrolled in critical thinking classes in college or high school.

Most people, in fact everybody, are a mixture of good and evil, and evil might be pushing it too far. Just good and not very good might be more descriptive of a lot of people. That's okay.

Britney DUCKED drug-tests long enough to get them out of her system.

The attorneys were concerned about the safety of her children in the car with her, but the primary thing that blew her custody and visitation was the abuse. THAT is what they want to hide, and her attorneys are desperate to seal all court documents because of that. Laura Wasser QUIT because she saw proof of the abuse (esp to JJ).

I wish things would turn around for Britney, but the odds are against her. Mental illness (including 2 Personality Disorders) is the big one. Britney has been losing it slowly since 2001, and no one got her help. She took Prozac for a while, but it didn't work. Britney is self-absorbed and selfish, her grandmother committed suicide at age 31, etc...

I'd say she will be dead within 2 years. As soon as daddy lets go of the control...Britney will go down the very same path. She can't find good men or good friends because she hates herself. She is attracted to bottom-barrel people, and no one of quality wants to be associated with her.

Britney has been searching for happiness in money, men, fame, religions, babies, dogs, etc. She has had a very deep void for years, and she can't fix it. She thought all of the above would make her happy, but it didn't. The only thing that helped was drugs. She will kill herself to get rid of the pain she is in, and no one can help her with it. It's not my wish, it's just the inevitable.

Well, let's just hope, for the babies sake, she doesn't kill herself, she does get the help she needs and does turn her life around. It's been done before with other people, celebrities and non-celebrities.

I hope for the babies sake, that Britney is never in their lives again. As long as the kids aren't in foster homes, someone else can be a mother to them...someone who thinks of them first.

I don't have faith that Britney will turn things around. It sometimes happens, but it's rare. Plus, Britney seems to go against what people advise her to do. She'll be bad again just out of spite. I think part of Britney's problem with her kids is the association to KFed. She feels like things didn't work with them because of the babies. I hope this is part of her therapy--letting her know that KFed was NEVER interested in marrying her or being with her...he wanted her money. Crazy people abuse dogs and children...especially during stressful times. Britney wasn't a long-term abuser, but JJ got the brunt of it. Britney jerked BOTH of the boys around MANY TIMES, and threw JJ against a wall ONCE that is known of.

While the abuse did happen, the wall-throwing incident was under the influence of drugs. This only happened one time - not that it should have happened at all. Britney did it more to the dogs. She started by sliding them across the floor, then kicking them for not getting out of her way. It is possible she thought JJ was one of the dogs. When you are on drugs, anything is possible.

The times when she wrenched their arms and jerked them...that is inexcusable. SPF has neck pains to this day, and JJ has a screwed up shoulder joint and a sternum injury that has healed. You will NOT hear this on the news because it is sealed court evidence.

The 'no corporal punishment' is standard in most states. Where I live it is. I had gone through custody and it was listed in the papers. I KNOW there was no abuse from either parent. But it was just standard policy to put it in. And I don't live in CA.

I work as a Guardian ad Litem for children - and admittedly - I don't know ANYTHING about CA law. Where I am from, there is NEVER any mention of NO CORPORAL PUNISHMENT unless it has been an issue in the past.

I can say though, that not ALL cases where abuse HAS occured are brought forward with actual charges. This happens for different reasons. However, just because charges aren't brought, doesn't mean there aren't records of something happening. (Not saying that Britney DID do something to either child because I have no way of knowing).

All any of us can really know is what was made public in the court documents. The rest is just conjecture at this point. There is a lot we can speculate about though, given certain circumstances.

Just something to think about.
