The kids are very cute but I think that Jayden is going to have problems like this mother. Britney's family history is very troubled (as far as substance and alcohol abuse). Yeah, it IS sad that they have not seen their mother for six weeks. But it's not their fault or Kevin's or the lawyers. Britney made her own choices - nobody else. Nobody forced her to do anything she didn't want to do. Being in the spotlight was obviously more important to her than her children. Actually, I think that is Shar's mom...she does occasionally help out with the boys as all of the kids do play together at times.Regarding Britney, as mentally unbalanced as she is, she brought a lot of it on herself. Beware the Spears Publicity Machine...nothing has come out to prove that she's "Bi-Polar." It's just speculation at this point. I honestly think no judge is going to release these two babies to any parent that's shown such erratic recent behavior, so I don't think she'll have unmonitored visitation any time soon. Apparently you missed the COURT RECORDS in which the commissioner stated that Britney Spears is a "habitual, frequent and continuous" user of alcohol and controlled substances.

In case you don't know what those words means...

CONTINUOUS
marked by uninterrupted extension in space, time, or sequence

We do not know the results of her drug tests because those records are sealed. However, we do know she failed more than one test by not showing up for it because that was mentioned in open session. Additionally, her limited visitation was SUPERVISED because the court and the California DCFS considered her a danger to her children, which proved to be correct when she held her son hostage for three hours.

WE WOULD'VE SEEN THIS IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF THE COURT ???

The judges ruling, documented in the PUBLIC COURT RECORDS, says: "based on the evidence presented, the court finds that there is a habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol by (Spears)." The same judge ruled in September that Spears must undergo twice-weekly random testing. Which, by the way, she has continuously failed to comply with, as has also been documented in PUBLIC COURT RECORDS.

She doesn't have a MENTAL disorder. She has a PERSONALITY disorder. A mental disorder has an organic nature (which, by the way can be affected by a chemical nature, i.e. DRUGS). But, a personality disorder is just a consciously chosen course of behavior that is fucked up.

Not necessarily...a personality disorder can appear when kids are exposed to physical, verbal or psychological abuse. I suppose you're right when you say the behaviours they exhibit are "chosen"...but it stills requires therapy...someone who has a personality disorder doesn't always realize he or she isn't "normal" in the way they do things.

I know some folks who have personality disorders, and it's pretty difficult trying to deal with them...it can lead to stuff like cutting, suicide...it's pretty heart wrenching stuff.

Seems Britney Spears gave quite the play-by-play analysis Sunday night as she watched the Grammy Awards at her home in Los Angeles. A source who was with her shared these comments from the troubled star during the 3-1/2 hour broadcast:
• Though Spears expressed admiration for Tina Turner's energy-packed duet with Beyonce, she did get snarky about the younger megastar's moves on stage. "She sure knows how to toss her hair," said Britney. "Too bad she can't dance as good as Tina — who's old enough to be her grandmother!"
Months after her widely criticized performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, Britney Spears watched the Grammys at home and criticized everyone else.
(Given Spears' own embarrassing performance at the Video Music Awards last fall, I think she'd be more careful before criticizing someone who looked far better dancing and singing than she did!)
• Also given Spears' own struggles with addictions, she seemed less-than-gracious commenting on Amy Winehouse's set via satellite from London. "Look at her! Look how stoned she is! She is so obviously stoned!" sneered Spears. (Again, I have three words for Britney: Video, Music, Awards.)

The city of Los Angeles may soon be affording special protection to its celebrity population. The L.A. City Council is considering an ordinance that would impose a 20-yard “personal safety bubble” around those public figures in the city who are construed by the law to be “paparazzi targets.”
L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine favors creating “public safety zones” around high-profile celebrities to protect them from the packs of paparazzi that continually pursue them. The idea raises a host of thorny legal questions, most notably, the First Amendment right of the press to facilitate communication of information to the public.
Recent incidents surrounding Britney Spears served as a catalyst for the proposed law, particularly the manner in which Spears was treated prior to and following her hospitalization stay at UCLA. The singer’s ambulance literally had to be enclosed by a barrier of police cars and helicopters in order to fend off the stalkarazzi.
Zine correctly pointed out that these types of scenarios pose “a hazard to both celebrities and ordinary people.” The fundamental question is, When can the public’s right to know be set aside for the public’s right to be secure?
Many celebrities are fed up with aggressive photographers, whose hyper-zealous conduct has escalated due to the huge amounts of cash at stake for select snapshots and video clips. Society’s preoccupation with celebrities has fueled an explosion of magazines, tabloid shows, and Internet gossip sites, fueling the hunger for even more photos of celebrities.
The paparazzi profession, too, is a growth industry, with positions expanding into the freelance photog realm as well as the camera-armed militia arena.
If the proposed Britney Law is implemented, it will be the most stringent anti-paparazzi legislation of its kind to date. If a paparazzo crosses the 20-yard “personal safety bubble” without permission, the city will confiscate all profits from any resulting photograph.
In addition, the L.A. City Council is examining the idea of giving celebrities the opportunity to purchase licenses to obtain extra protection. With so much money involved in the celebrity industry, it is difficult to say whether the proposed Britney Law, if enacted, would end up helping or harming celebrity circumstances. It is also difficult to predict whether it would ultimately be overturned by a court. In classic legalese, that means “it all depends.”

In a declaration filed in the Brit conservatorship case, a lawyer for the conservators accused Sam Lutfi of demanding money from poor Brit.

Mentally ill persons are not usually hospitalized unless they present a danger to themselves or to others. Spears may not be mentally ill but the fact that she was released from hospitals is not any kind of proof that she isn't. Think about it. Fifty years many mentally people were in hospitals long term. Today, not so much. Most mentally ill people are right out there in society, just like you and I, and most of them under the care of doctors (long, medium, and shor-term) do just as well as us -- or better.

I can't for the life of me figure out why she can't get supervised meetings with her babies. Hopefully the judge will do that soon.

Six weeks is nothing. Think about children who's parent(s) are overseas. They go a 6 months or more without seeing them.
